Kevin, did you know that in the 2014 Broadway revival of YCTIWY, Mr. Kirby was played by award-winning veteran stage actor Byron Jennings?
And also that in that cast, the role of Paul Sycamore was played by Richard Thomas?
And that Richard Thomas also played JohnBoy Walton on the CBS 70’s hit drama “The Waltons”?
And that also in the cast of “The Waltons” was a relatively unknown actor named John Ritter, who played Reverend Fordwick?
And then John Ritter hit it big by starring as Jack Tripper in ABC’s smash hit “Three’s Company”, which also starred Richard Kline as Jack’s lecherous friend Larry Dallas?
And Richard Kline, who had a theater career that includes “City of Angels” and “Wicked”, also starred with YOU in the 2012 workshop of “All That Glitters”?!
See? It was clearly meant to be! Break a leg, Kev! And congratulations to the cast and crew of the GDA for another amazing production!

Production Staff Bios
Mrs. Meghan Goldsmith (Producer) is in her 17th season as a member of the production staff, and undertaking her first production as sole producer. Memorable shows include Singin’ in the Rain ‘99, 42nd Street ‘02, Guys and Dolls ‘06, West Side Story ‘08, Kiss Me, Kate ‘11 and Fiddler ‘14. Thank you to Allan and Jonathan for being wonderful colleagues, creators and friends, and congratulations to the cast and crews, especially to the seniors, on a job very well done. Love and thanks are always in order to her amazing husband Dan, and to Matt and Katie for being such happy kids. And a special thanks to Paul for deciding to take his sabbatical during the fall season rather than in the spring -- that would have been a Beast to handle alone.
Mr. Allan L’Etoile ‘73, HoF ‘12 (Director) has been directing shows at Gonzaga since 1997. He loves working with the students in the cast and crew, even the students in house crew, and he finds the work most enjoyable when he sees the kids make something wonderful on the stage for each other and for the audience. He thanks his wife, Marie, for agreeing to let him spend long hours away from home each year taking on this fun work.
Mr. Jonathan Spencer (Technical Director) is a native of Fairfax,VA and graduate of the Art Institute of Washington. He is honored to be introduced as the GDA Technical Theatre Director this year. He joins Gonzaga after recently working as the Technical Theatre Director for Summit School in Winston-Salem, NC and as the co-owner of the live music venue, Turntable, in Jamestown, NC.
Best wishes to Betsy and the cast and crew of You Can’t Take It With You!!
We are beyond proud of you and so thankful that while ‘you can’t take it with you,’ the GDA can always be counted on to bring out the best in everyone along the way!

Bios
Andrew Allan (Henderson) is a senior returning to the GDA to star as an IRS Agent. He would like to thank his parents for teaching him about taxes, the government for taxing his income, and all of his AP teachers for taxing his emotions. He hopes you enjoy!
Alex Ballestero (Stage Crew) is excited to be a part of his third show with the GDA. When he isn’t making “safe” structures for people to dance on, he can be found sword fighting in the cafeteria.
Adelaide Biegun (Stage Crew) is excited to join her sister on stage crew for her first GDA show.
Cate Biegun (Light Crew) is a senior at Georgetown Visitation and this is her third year in the GDA. She would like to thank all of her friends and family for the support. One of her favorite memories from this show was singing Ariana Grande in scene shop with Kyle Brown.
Kyle Brown (Stage Crew) has been a member of the GDA since his freshman year at Gonzaga. Although Kyle generally has alot to say all he can say right now is thank you to everyone who has helped him get to where he is today.
Nathaniel Buckley (Stage Crew): “Hello, as this is my second show, I hope to make this one even better than my show last year, so wish me luck and have a great show!”
Coleman Bunn (Kid Band) is a sprightly young fellow. It’s difficult to manage him at times, but at least he isn’t as bad as Alice’s extended family.
Colin Carmody (Paul Sycamore) will blow you away in his 7th GDA show. If he doesn’t, then that is Mr. DePinna’s fault. Please “give [concessions] time enough. [Concessions] need plenty of time.” Also, “I’d better call that cab I suppose.” Gravy. Toothpaste. You-picked-that-word-why? Cancun. Parkour. “The United States is not only the strongest, but also the most terrified country.” -Trotsky #damnthosefliesinthekitchen
Thomas Carney (Stage Crew) is very excited to be on the GDA for his first Gonzaga show and hopes to be a part of the GDA in the future.
Christopher Cowardin (Kid Band/Trumpet Player and sometimes an accordion player) is very excited to be in his third GDA production in his Gonzaga Career. He would like to call out Colin Carmody because without him Christopher would still be confused right now at what note is being played without the sheet music.
William Cowardin (Kid Band) is glad to have finally gotten his bio in on time and happy to be part of You Can’t Take It With You. Also he can cook a mean Potato Chowder.
Morgan Curran (Kid Band) is a sophomore at Visitation and is excited to be in very first GDA production! Shoutout to the McLean Mom carpool system.
Kevin Dolan (Mr. Kirby) is thrilled to be a part of his sixth production within the GDA. In addition to YCTIWY, Kevin has performed in Curtains as Lieutenant Cioffi at GCHS and as “Ash” in Evil Dead: The Musical at Stage Door Manor. He thanks his parents and teachers for his success on stage and in the classroom.
Andrew Farabow (Assistant Stage Manager) can be found in the shop questioning the thought processes of freshmen, refusing assistance on projects and trying to figure out how stage crew will run when the seniors leave.
Arthur Ferridge (Light Crew) is excited to be a member of the stage crew of his first show at Gonzaga. He wants to thank everyone who encouraged him to join the stage crew as he’s had a great time helping to prepare the show.
Barrett Fife (Penelope Sycamore) is a senior at Georgetown Visitation. She thanks her father, her husband, her two children, her step-children, and whatever the heck Mr. De Pinna is. (Oh, I guess she’s sort of grateful for her actual parents too.) Most of all, however, she wants to thank Mr. TheStar’s face, which is about a foot away, glaring at her as she writes this.
Joseph Fondriest (Assistant Stage Manager) is very excited to be assistant light manager for the fall production of You Can’t Take It With You. In his free time, he enjoys making Matt Seay’s dreams come true and spending time with his many girlfriends. He’d like to shout out hFitzy whom he worships, for writing this bio and being his biggest supporter.
Matt Gannon (Boris Kolenkhov) is thrilled to be Putin on the ritz in his second show at Gonzaga. He is Russian in writing this bio, as Mr. L’Etoile threatened to expel him if he couldn’t write it in under 8 minutes. Matt is Stalin in order to test if Mr. L’Etoile will follow through with this exciting threat. It has now been nine minutes. Bullseye!
Andrew Gans (Stage Crew) is excited to be working his first year of stage crew for the GDA.
Matthew Gately (The Man) is a freshman in his first Gonzaga show, playing the role of The Man.
Joe Giuliani (Stage Crew) has four limbs, a torso, and a chest. He, his peers, and his superiors have all come to the conclusion that his brain is nonexistent.
Maddy Giuliani (Kid Band) is excited to be acting in her first show (aside from her brief appearance as dead body number seven in Arsenic and Old Lace). Previously, she was a member of stage crew for several shows.
John Goodyear (Kid Band) is a Freshman Crew Coach first, Gonzaga student second, and an uncle third.
Ben Gossart (Mr. De Pinna) is a senior at Gonzaga.
Betsy Haywood (Gay Wellington) is a senior at Holy Cross and is excited to be in her second production with the GDA! She would like to thank her family, and especially Emily Orem for being the best carpool buddy.
Meaghan Howard (Rheba) is a freshman at Georgetown Visitation, and is excited to be in her first GDA performance. She would like to thank everyone who has helped drive!
Owen Johnson (Donald) is a Gonzaga senior who would like to thank the GDA for being the stable influence he needed in his life to stay away from a life of violent crime and nicotine.
William Jorensen (Stage Crew) is very excited to be a part of stage crew for this production, and he is looking forward to more to come.
Lucas Jung (Stage Crew) is excited to be a part of his first GDA show. He is also a member of Poets and Writers Club.
Finn Kirvan (Assistant Stage Manager) is partaking in his fourth show on loft crew and is excited for the play after weeks of unwavering dedication.
Mak Krivka (Light Crew) is excited to be in stage crew for the production of You Can’t Take It With You. He would like to thank his family for their understanding of the commitment and his fellow stage crew members for their dedication.
Isaiah Maddox (Kid Band) is the bongo playing dancing senior who dreams of going off to be a renowned game designer and a bunch of other random stuff. Currently, while you’re reading this, he is performing a show and awaiting for college decision letters; prayers are appreciated.
Rylan Madison (Kid Band) is a Gonzaga student. He is in this show. Thanks for coming to see him.
PJ McMahon (Ed) is 6,179-6,186 days old (depending on today’s date). He is a connoisseur of fine cheeses, even though he is lactose intolerant. He is now a blackbelt at the xylophone due to the show which is his fifth show. Roll tide!
Andrew Metro (Stage Manager) is glad to have survived the dictatorial regimes of Jonathan Kokotajlo and Matthew Hoffman so that he can finally institute his own. He’s been keeping everything in shipshape: fire violations have not exceeded seven pages, and nothing has broken (yet). Regardless, he thanks the crew and managers for the labor they’ve toiled through- at this rate, the actor bourgeoisie will be toppled before the musical.
Joseph Miller (Tony Kirby) would like to thank all the adults who keep the GDA running, his peers who make theater entertaining, and the GDA in general for taking time away from editing his Common App essays. Lastly, since bios have a word limit not a character limit, he would like to share a few of his favorite long words: absquatulate, borborygmus, and rendezvous.
Tommy Nalls (Martin Vanderhof) is loving stepping in his 5th show in the GDA, You Can’t Take it With You, as Martin “Grandpa” Vanderhoff. He likes turtles and the color blue. He also thanks the cast and crew for being cool. Damn those flies in the kitchen!
Maddie Notarianni (Mrs. Kirby) wonders why she has to write this in the third person. *screams*
Emily Orem (Alice) is a junior at Holy Cross in her 5th GDA production. She would like to clarify that although she exclaims “Tony” an excessive number of times during the show, this is not, in fact, West Side Story. Thanks to Betsy for the uplifting tunes sans aux cord- hello my lover!
Matthew Quigley (Sound Manager)is having a great time on stage crew working on his second production.
Peter Rizzo (Mac) is a Gonzaga junior who wants to say that you probably could take it with you if you tried hard enough.
Luke Rizzo (Third Man) “As a child, it was always my dream to be a washboard player in a school play with zero lines. Now, I’m living that dream.”
Jack Ronca (Stage Crew) is very excited to be part of the GDA for his first year. He would like to thank all his fellow stage crew members and his friends for helping him.
Will Sanders (Jim) is very excited to be in his third on stage appearance and fifth show! He and the rest of the band have worked very hard on learning the washboards and maracas, and hopes everyone enjoys the show!
Matthew Seay (Light Manager) “Don’t forget to stop by the booth and Seay hi!”
This is Sarah Slimp’s (Essie) third show with the GDA. Like Essie, she’s always dancing (badly) and stuffing her face with candy. Although it seems like Sarah lives at Gonzaga, she’s actually a junior at Stone Ridge.
This is Ryan Vigilante’s (Kid Band) first year in the GDA. He’s been playing piano for 10 years and is excited to finally begin his GDA career as a junior (better late than never!).
James Walutes (Loft Manager) is thrilled to be a part of his third show with the GDA! He would like to thank all of his fellow crewmembers for their hard work for this show and for their tolerance of his obsession with cars.
Tomas Williamson (Kid Band) is ecstatic about being in his 3rd GDA show and a part of the kid band for the production of You Can’t Take It With You.
Julia Winkler (Olga Katrina) needs to confess that, much may it shock the audience, she is neither a Duchess nor completely sure what a blintz looks like.
you to the cast and crew of You Can’t Take It With You! Congratulations Meaghan for being in your first Gonzaga play! Best of Luck, Andrew! Love, Mom & Dad Congratulations Tommy and the cast and crew of You Can’t Take It With You! Love, Mom, Dad, John, Mary Beth & Matt

You can’t take it with you, Mr. Nate.

As near as I can see, the only thing you can take with you is the love of your friends.
