JOB TRAINING Creating Jobs
Goodwill offers job training programs for individuals facing barriers to employment. Some participants with limited work histories, educational attainment, and/or English language skills complete a work-readiness program as the first step toward a job in customer service, food service, retail, housekeeping, administration, and other fields. Others may choose to enter a skills-training program that prepares them to succeed in a specific industry, such as human services. Individuals with disabilities who require structured support to work are often trained on-the-job and, over time, transition to work in the community. Training programs include: First Step – A four-week job readiness training program. Human Services Employment Ladder Program – An eight-week training program to prepare individuals to work in human services.
