Golf At Goodwood The first ever round of golf played at Goodwood was in 1914 when the 6th Duke of Richmond opened the course on the Downs above Goodwood House. Since then, the club has played host to many famous golfers and society faces including the Prince of Wales (later King Edward VII), the Duke of York (later King George VI) and, particularly during Goodwood’s famous festival Glorious Goodwood, many well-known jockeys and racehorse owners. Justin Rose, a U.S. Open champion and one of the sport’s top players, chose Goodwood to become the official touring professional to the club. With stunning views across rolling English countryside it is easy to see why. Redefining the way you play the game, Golf At Goodwood prides itself on flexibility. Open to all golfers, whether you’re looking for Membership, would like to host a golf day or want to play as a visitor, Goodwood has two outstanding 18-hole golf courses, which are fast gaining an international reputation for excellence. With its unique range of Membership options, which offer incredible value for money, Golf At Goodwood provides a completely different and innovative way of enjoying this wonderful game. It is golf as it should be: simple, flexible and accessible.
