ba dg e s BADGES Members’ Annual Badges Members receive a metal lapel badge for the season, which gives them entry to the Richmond Enclosure for all meetings, including the Festival Meeting, affectionately known as ‘Glorious Goodwood’. The benefits and privileges of Goodwood Horseracing Club Membership are, by tradition, made available only to a limited number of applicants. The fees for annual Membership are: Existing Members: £319. New Members: £469. Young persons (18-24 years): £150. Guest Annual Badges Members are also able to buy an individual guest badge for one adult, which provides entry into the Richmond Enclosure throughout the year. Adult Guest: £290. Daily Badges Festival Meeting In addition, Members can purchase daily guest badges for the Festival Meeting. These daily badges are restricted to Members, and it is likely that the badges will be sold out in advance of the meeting, so please book early.
Children under five are not admitted to the Richmond Enclosure at the Festival Meeting (excluding Saturday). Ladies are encouraged to wear hats at the Festival Meeting. Linen suits and the archetypal ‘Goodwood’ Panama hat are traditionally worn by gentlemen, as characterised by Edward VII in the early twentieth century. Children should be smartly dressed. Please be aware that fancy dress is not permitted in the Richmond Enclosure. Racegoers deemed to be inappropriately dressed will not be admitted to the Richmond Enclosure.

Refunds and Cancellations In the event of a reduction of numbers or cancellations, a full refund will only be given provided a minimum of 28 days’ notice is given, in writing, prior to a Festival race meeting and 14 days’ notice for non-Festival race meetings.

1. No Member or guest in the Richmond Enclosure shall act as a bookmaker, or accept on behalf of, or as an agent for any bookmaker.

6. Goodwood Racecourse Limited does not accept responsibility for non-delivery of badges despatched or for postal delays.
3. Any Member declared bankrupt or a defaulter on the turf, or who fails to pay the subscription by the final date of payment, or is guilty of conduct unbecoming to a Member, or acts contrary to the regulations, shall immediately cease to be a Member.
7. A charge will be made if a Member loses a badge and wishes to be issued with a replacement.
4. Members shall be held responsible for the conduct and fitness of any guest introduced by them.
9. Goodwood Racecourse Limited reserves the right to alter or add to these regulations at any time without giving notice.

G oodwo od Hors e r ac in g C lub con st it ut ion 1 General Information 1.1 The name of the club shall be “The Goodwood Horseracing Club” (GHRC). 1.2 GHRC is owned and operated by Goodwood Racecourse Limited (“The Company”). The place of business is at Goodwood, Chichester, West Sussex, PO18 0PS and the registered office is at Goodwood House, Goodwood, Chichester, West Sussex, PO18 0PX. The Company is registered in England and its registered number is 772766. 1.3 The Directors and appointed employees of The Company are solely responsible for all matters relating to the affairs and management of GHRC and have the authority to amend the terms and conditions of Membership. 2 Membership 2.1 GHRC offers a package of benefits to individuals and legal entities for the purpose of attending race meetings and is governed by this Constitution and the regulations as published from time to time. 2.2 On being accepted as a Member of GHRC the Member will also be eligible to use the facilities of The Kennels on terms and at times agreed from time to time. 2.3 The Kennels’ Rules and Regulations are available to Members from the Membership office at GHRC’s address. 2.4 Should there be any questions concerning these terms and conditions of Membership, please direct your enquiries to The Racecourse Manager at GHRC. 2.5 Persons wishing to apply for Membership must complete and sign the Application for Membership form acknowledging acceptance of GHRC’s terms and conditions and rules and regulations. The signed and completed form should be sent to: The Membership Secretary, GHRC, Goodwood Racecourse, Goodwood, Chichester, West Sussex, PO18 0PS. Payment of the Membership fee will confirm acceptance of the undertaking referred to above. 2.6 GHRC will determine whether the applicant has satisfied the relevant conditions of Membership. The successful applicant will be informed by GHRC. 2.7 New Members will be required to pay a Joining Fee of the GHRC. 2.8 When approved for Membership, the Member will be deemed to have agreed to be bound by the rules and regulations, terms and conditions of GHRC and the same as they may be amended from time to time. 2.9 GHRC may decline any application for renewal of Membership and shall not be obliged to give any reason for doing so. 2.10 Members shall be invited to renew their Membership annually through payment of the annual fee. The amount of this fee will be determined by GHRC. 2.11 A Member may only resign their Membership in writing and directly with GHRC. 2.12 In the event of resignation, suspension or termination of Membership during the year, the Member will not be entitled to a refund of the annual fee or part thereof. 2.13 Unpaid sums will automatically result in termination of Membership. 2.14 A Dress Code is required in the Richmond Enclosure. Gentlemen are required to wear jackets and either ties, polo-neck sweaters or cravats. Jeans, shorts and fancy dress are not permitted. 2.15 The violation of any aspect of the Constitution or of the Rules and Etiquette or any conduct unbecoming or against the interests of GHRC will subject the person responsible to a disciplinary process by GHRC, in accordance with the Goodwood Horseracing Club’s procedures for Suspension or Expulsion, a copy of which is available at the GHRC’s offices. 2.16 Only Annual Members with metal swing badges will be eligible to use the Annual Members’ Bar.

3 Privileges 3.1 Membership of GHRC gives access to The Kennels situated at Kennel Hill, Goodwood, Chichester, West Sussex, PO18 0PN. Entry to and use of The Kennels will be in accordance with published arrangements. 3.2 Membership of the GHRC provides entry into the Richmond Enclosure at all meetings and free entry to reciprocal events (on a limited number of occasions). 3.3 Membership benefits give entitlement to purchase Richmond Enclosure daily guest badges for the Festival Meeting. Also two Guests’ Days, use of the Annual Members’ Bar at all meetings, complimentary desk calendar featuring the complete racing fixture list. Opportunity to reserve space in the Members’ car park, Richmond seat badges at the Festival Meeting. All subject to availability. 3.4 Members may entertain guests in The Kennels. The entertaining Member will be responsible for all charges incurred by their guests and for their guests’ good conduct. 3.5 Members shall be entitled to use and enjoy the facilities of GHRC in accordance with their Membership terms and conditions.

4 Rights and Obligations 4.1 The Membership Year will constitute the twelve-month period commencing on 1 January. 4.2 Goodwood Racecourse Limited will determine the other charges to be paid by each Member on 1 December each year. 4.3 Dues are payable in advance and the annual fee will be due at the start of each Membership Year. The failure of any Member to pay the required dues shall constitute grounds for forfeiture of Membership privileges. 4.4 Members will not be entitled to vote on any GHRC matters or otherwise become involved in the management or operation of GHRC or its facilities. There is no vested or prescriptive right or easement to use GHRC’s facilities. 4.5 Membership is not an investment in GHRC and does not provide the Member with an equity or ownership interest or any other property interest in GHRC or its facilities. 4.6 Members are not subject to any operating assessments. GHRC will pay all operating deficits incurred in the operation of GHRC’s facilities and will retain all operating profits resulting from the operation of GHRC’s facilities. Members will not be subject to any assessments for the cost of constructing additional GHRC facilities or for any capital improvements. 5 Privacy Policy 5.1 GHRC will keep your personal data secure and confidential. GHRC warrants that The Company and each of the companies in The Goodwood Estate Company Limited Group (“The Group”) processing personal data holds and will maintain a notification with the Information Commissioner under the Data Protection Act 1998, as amended or re-enacted from time to time for all processing of your Membership information. The Group will not disclose, sell, rent or share your Membership information to or with any person outside of our group of companies without your consent. 6 Applicable Law and Jurisdiction 6.1 This Constitution, as well as all the subsequent documents and all additional documents referring to GHRC are governed by the laws of England and should be interpreted and implemented conforming to the laws of England. GHRC and the Members should always seek to resolve any disagreements in a friendly manner and in good faith. In the absence of an amicable settlement, any disagreement on interpretation and the execution of this Constitution or any other subsequent and/or complementary documents, will be judged exclusively by the courts of England.
