GO TEXAN PARTNERS ARE ENCOURAGED TO APPLY FOR THE 2023 MARKETING ENHANCEMENT GRANT ASSISTANCE (MEGA) PROGRAMS

DEADLINE: WEDNESDAY, MAY 3, 2023 BY 11:59 PM CDT.

The GO TEXAN-Marketing Enhancement Grant Assistance (MEGA) programs are designed to provide grant funds to GO TEXAN Partners to assist with the marketing and promotion of certified Texas agricultural products, including those that have been produced, processed, or otherwise had value added to the product in Texas; certified Texas non-agricultural products; Associate GO TEXAN Registrants; and the GO TEXAN Program.

The Programs

There are two programs under MEGA: The Product Promotion (GTP) grant program and The Event Grant program (GTE).

The Product Promotion (GTP) grant program is designed to provide grant funds for Tier 2 or higher GO TEXAN Product Partners to market and promote their qualifying GO TEXAN products.

The Event Grant program (GTE) is designed to provide grant funds to Associate GO TEXAN Partners who coordinate public festivals, farmers markets, and events across the state that will promote GO TEXAN businesses, their Texas made products, and the overall GO TEXAN Program.

Deadline

Applicants must submit one complete, electronically signed grant application package. The complete application packet must be RECEIVED by close of business (11:59 p.m. CDT) on Wednesday, May 3, 2023. Applications may not be supplemented after the submission deadline.

All eligible applications submitted by the published deadline will be considered for funding. TDA encourages you to thoroughly review the application and guidelines and submit a complete application prior to the deadline. Incomplete applications will not be considered.

We would like your feedback on the 2023 GO TEXAN Partner Survey! This survey aims to collect data and feedback from the previous year to help us improve and grow the GO TEXAN program As a thank you for completing this survey we are offering partners a $50 coupon code that can be applied to a future GO TEXAN event opportunity. More details will be provided upon completion of the survey.

The National Association of State Departments of Agriculture

The National Association of State Departments of Agriculture (NASDA) are seeking Texas companies to participate in their trade shows. These shows are a great opportunity to gain exposure to international buyers without ever having to leave the country. Texas Department of Agriculture is part of the Southern United States Trade Association (SUSTA). The association is a State Regional Trade Group that provides funding for TDA to support small companies in the south to meet qualified foreign buyers and promote their products internationally. This is accomplished through participation in tradeshows, trade missions, virtual seminars, and 1:1 meeting introductions.

THE BEST PART?

Texas Department of Agriculture covers a large portion of the expense to participate in SUSTA International activities. Even Better…businesses can get reimbursed up to 50% of eligible expenses such as international travel to shows, advertising, freight, in-store demonstrations and so much more through the 50% Cost Share Program.
