Featured Cocktail: m int julep is a mixed alcoholic drink, or cocktail, consisting primarily of bourbon, sugar, water, crushed or shaved ice, and fresh mint. As a bourbon-based cocktail, it is associated with the American s outh and the cuisine of the s outhern u nited s tates in general, and the Kentucky d erby in particular. r um can be used in place of -or in addition to- the bourbon, for an exciting twist on the original. i ngredients

• 1 oz. Pineapple-Flavored r um

• 1/2 oz. Bourbon

• 1/2 oz. Blackstrap r um

• 1/4 oz. s imple s yrup

• 6-8 m int l eaves

• 1/2 tsp. m olasses i nstructions

1. Press mint leaves and simple syrup in glass or Julep cup. d on’t muddle leaves, just press on them.

2. Add in bourbon, rums and molasses.

3. Top with crushed ice and stir.

4. Top with more crushed ice.
