Public Notice to all Daviess County Voters
ONLY ONE CENTRAL POLLING LOCATION for April 7/June 2 ELECTION
Due to the ongoing Coronavirus pandemic, I, as Election Authority, have had to make the difficult decision to open only one central polling location in Daviess County for the April 7th/June 2nd General Municipal Election. In order to protect both my election judges and the voting public I will only open a central polling location at the Lions Club Building, 801 West Grand Street, Gallatin, MO, and will operate this location with my staff. Any Daviess County voter wishing to cast a ballot in person in the June 2nd election will need to travel to this location. Voters will be asked to wear a mask. Supplies will be available at the door for those who do not have them. I encourage everyone to take advantage of their right to vote Absentee by mail. The process is easy, and can be completed without leaving your home. Postage is paid both ways and the ballot envelope does not have to be notarized in most cases. Absentee ballots are securely collected, and processed by a bi-partisan team in order to protect the voter's right to cast a secret ballot. Simply call 660-663-3300, ext 5 and you will be mailed an application. The last day to request an Absentee Ballot be mailed is May 27th so don't delay. As we learn how to function in these pandemic conditions, I ask for your cooperation and patience. I will vigorously protect the citizens of Daviess County's right to vote while doing my best to keep everyone safe.
