VVA Board of Directors Meeting Call to Order Jon Allen called the meeting to order at 6:30 p.m. in the lower level of the clubhouse. Members in attendance were Troy Lesan, Mike Krehbiel, Flint Hibler, Phil Stockard and Mike Booth. Shad Mort led the Pledge of Allegiance and Mark Leggett led in prayer. Jon Allen informed the Board and the members of the resignation of David Sandy from the Board of Directors. Troy Lesan moved to accept David’s resignation. Flint Hibler seconded; motion carried. Jon went on to say the procedure for replacing David was to ask the person with the next highest vote at the last annual meeting to fill the unexpired term. Sherry Parkhurst was asked to fill David’s seat and she accepted. Flint Hibler moved to accept the appointment of Sherry Parkhurst. Mike Booth seconded; motion carried. It was also stated that David would need to be replaced as the Board contact for the Strategic Planning Committee. Sherry accepted that position. The Strategic Planning Committee also asked that two new members be approved for the committee. Mike Booth moved to add Susan Zalenski and Shawn Hepinstall to this committee. Phil Stockard seconded; motion carried. From the Strategic Committee, Missy Leggett asked the Board to approve a new Ad Hoc Incorporating Team. Those members are: Missy Leggett, Susan Zalenski, Paula Hepinstall, Lowell Kruse, George Townsend and Tom Johanson. Jon Allen thanked Mark Leggett and the 50th Anniversary Committee for the great weekend of celebration. Approval of Minutes Mike Krehbiel moved to approve the July 9, 2017 Board of Directors meeting minutes. Sherry Parkhurst seconded; motion carried. Volunteer of the Month There was no volunteer of the month for July. Roger Lankford nominated Tony Gronniger and Dallas Engel for their time and effort of restriping the yellow lines in front of the firehouse. Rog-

Troy Lesan moved to accept the nomination of Tony Gronniger and Dallas Engel for volunteers of the month of August, and recognition to John Oaks for his help. Flint Hibler seconded; motion carried. Committee Reports Handbook Committee: Phil Stockard presented a list of rule changes and a new rule for the launch ramp at the marina. Association Launch Access - Members who wish to access Lake Viking through the ramp located at the marina shall do so via access card. Lots with multiple owners may obtain an access card for each owner not to exceed a total of two access cards. Members with multiple lots or lots under company/corporate memberships are allowed a maximum of two access cards. Access cards are available at the association office for a $10.00 deposit per card, refundable upon return of the card. Access cards are for the exclusive use of the member and/or their guest for the purpose of launching watercraft authorized for Lake Viking use. Guests must have the current year guest pass on their person at the time of access card use. Sharing of access cards between separate lot owners is prohibited. Any member or guest who allows access to anyone, including other members, is subject to an infraction citation with a minimum $500 fine. Lost or stolen access cards must be reported to the Association Office immediately to ensure the card is deactivated. A replacement card is obtainable for a $10.00 deposit, refundable upon return of the card. No deposit refunds will be given for deactivated cards. Phil Stockard moved to accept this rule as read. Zebra Mussel Gate The Zebra Mussel gates at the Marina Ramp was lowered on Aug. 1, 2017; from now on, you will need an access card to open the gates.
