Discussion/Business:

• Mary updated the committee that we now have 30 empty camping spaces, with three being assigned this week when they decide on which space they want. Mary also advised that she had a conversation with Jeff Ferguson, Lake Manager, that we can open three campsites in Campground 2 as nightly spots at $25.00 per night. Mary and Flint will explain to those who take advantage of this that if someone else decides to rent the space for the season, they will have to move to another space.

• Flint, James, and Charles built the fence enclosure around the dumpsters at Campground 1, and it looks fabulous.

• Discussed moving the 20ft RV port left by a former camper that the campground now has possession of. The plan is to move it north of the playset north of the bathhouse by the entrance road. This will be a gathering place in the shade for parents to observe their children on the playset.

• Campground is finalizing its mission statement, which will help guide its long-term vision.

• Discussed placing plaques of lost/past campers that helped bring this camping community together as a family in this port.

• Budget discussion on where the campground is financially. We are working with the lake manager to identify variance in retained earnings and collection of the $100 special assessment.

• Began discussions on a timeline to ensure the campground has developed its annual budget in time for the annual meeting.

• Discussion on the electrical project and the septic/lagoon. We are working with the lake manager to identify the most efficient path for-

5 5 5 5 ward.

• As per campground rules, 12 campers were cited for not abiding by rules and were sent to Safety for infractions to be sent.

• Committee discussed a date for a “Meet and Greet” with the members/campers to meet the committee members. The date is set as a kind of brunch with coffee, juice, and snack on July 22nd from 10:0012:00 at the RV port after it gets moved.

• The meet and greet is an opportunity to engage the campground community and gather feedback on where people would like to see the campground go in the near future.

• Discussed and decided to put some notice on unassigned camping spaces so that VVA members who are looking for a space to have their camper into the campground, and this will assist in knowing what is still available.

• The meeting adjourned at 8:32 pm.
