GPIC Wins Bahraini Women Empowerment Award

Bahraini women and allowing them to hold key positions. She reiterated that this Award was a symbol of the basic principles laid down by the National Action Charter and the Bahrain Constitution for empowerment of women. It was also one of the key aspects of the national plan for advancement of Bahraini women.

Shaikha Sabeeka bint Ebrahim Al Khalifa, wife of His Majesty the King and Chairwoman of the Supreme Council for Women attended an official ceremony to present to the winning companies and businesses Her Royal Highness’ Award for Empowerment of Bahraini Women for 2008. Mr. Abdul rahman Jawahery, General Manager received the Award on behalf of the Company.

GPIC Marks 29th Anniversary and Honours Veteran and Outstanding Employees

n Thursday 25 December 2008 GPIC held a ceremony at the Al Ghazal Ballroom, Ritz Carlton Hotel, marking its 29th anniversary. The event was held under the patronage of H.E. Shaikh Isa bin Ali Al Khalifa, Advisor to H.H. the Prime Minister for Industrial and Oil Affairs and GPIC Chairman. At the opening of the ceremony, Mr. Abdulrahman Jawahery, General Manager welcomed the guests and conveyed to them the best wishes of H.E. Shaikh Isa bin Ali Al Khalifa. He praised the achievements made by the company in all fields and its unique position in terms of its significant achievements, since it
embodies the spirit of cooperation among the GC states in all aspects.

In his speech Mr. Jawahery said everyone is proud of what the Kingdom of Bahrain has been able to achieve in 2008. The most important of these was the launch of Bahrain’s Economic Vision up to the year 2030 which demonstrated the prudence and farsightedness of our wise leadership.
