Go forth following the Father! Jeremiah 29:11 serves as a reminder that God has a plan for you. You can confidently follow Him because He has already charted the course that will lead to your breakthrough, blessing, or new beginning. Refuse to let fear, your finances, or past failures stop you from moving forward. God’s favor on your life is all you need to live the abundant life that He has planned for you. You can go forth following the Father without fear. In Isaiah 42:16 NLT God promised, “I will lead blind Israel down a new path, guiding them along an unfamiliar way. I will brighten the darkness before them and smooth out the road ahead of them. Yes, I will indeed do these things; I will not forsake them.” The Israelites did not know which path to take but God promised to be their guide. He promised them that He would light up their path and make every crooked part straight. He wants to do that for you too. Go forth following the Father. He has already paved the path for you.
Do not let past failures make you feel you are not worthy of moving forward toward your goals, promises, and purpose. King David is a prime example of asking for forgiveness and moving forward. He could have felt that he was not worthy to remain king after he plotted to have Uriah killed (2 Samuel 11:14-17) and committed adultery with Bathsheba (2 Samuel 11:2-5). Instead, he prayed an earnest prayer, asked God for forgiveness (Psalm 51), and went forth following the Father to do great and mighty things.
Jesus went forth following the Father healing the sick and doing many miracles. Jairus had faith in Jesus and wanted to experience a miracle. Jairus fell at the feet of Jesus and pleaded for Him to come and heal his daughter (Mark 5:23-43). He had enough faith to know that Jesus was able to perform that miracle for him. Jairus is an example of a great father that would do anything for their child even if it means stepping out of their comfort zone or breaking character. He was willing to lay his title and tradition to the side for sake of his daughter.
Jesus is the epitome of what it means to go forth following the Father. John 5:19 NIV records, Jesus gave them this answer: “Very truly I tell you, the Son can do nothing by Himself; He can do only what He sees His Father doing, because whatever the Father does the Son also does.” God favors you! The Master has already mapped out your destiny and now is the time for you to manifest it. Trust Him with all your heart and lean not to your own understanding (Proverbs 3:5-6). He knows your end from the beginning (Isaiah 46:10) so you can trust Him to lead, guide, and direct you. Your blessing, breakthrough, or new beginning becomes tangible when you go forth following the Father.
