1. Co-Living for Young Creative Professionals
WECreate is a co-living establishment for young creative professionals. It provides an integrated environment that strives on the sense of community and inclusion. Its aim is target young individuals that are starting out in the professional world and to help them find their feet in the housing market. The development is made up from 8 floors of communal space, including a ground floor bar and gallery that is open to the public, which targets feasibility aspects of the concept.

The -1 level of the basement provides a large laundry room with enough machines for residents to efficiently use, a staff room for administration and a storage warehouse for supplies, deliveries and cleaner facilities. Level -1 , Laundry Room, Staff Room, Storgage and Cleaning (NTS).
Level 0, Bar and Gallery (NTS).
Level 1, Communal Lounge and Study Space (NTS).
Level 1 above the ground floor is the location of the lounge and study space, closed to the public but open for all residents and visitors to use. The main feature of this space is its ability to expand or retract depending on use. The bi-folding doors can close off the study space for users to concentrate, or they can open the adjacent study rooms for meetings or larger study groups. In addition, they can open to the communal lounge for larger functions. Located on levels 2-6 are the residential areas. Each floorhouses 8 rooms for residents with bi-folding doors to allow the space to be private or communal. They open onto seating areas and facing each other for socialising. Each room features a double bed with two night stands, two wardrobes with draws as well as coat hooks. Three large windows sit behind the back of the bed allowing for lots of natural light and views of Bournemouth. Throughout the residential floors of this building, are alternating bathroom and kitchen facilities. The kitchen features a large island counter with a communal table feature. Residents will have a large fridge freezer allowing for plenty of room. On opposite floors are the communal bathrooms. Here residents have showers and toilet facilities that have privacy precautions in place. As well as this facility, on each kitchen flor there are also two toilet rooms facilities with sinks and space for resident’s convenience. This establishment is a modern and inclusive way to tackle the problems young people face when entering the world of financial and housing difficulty. They will enter an alternative support system that prepares them for the rest of their life, whilst making friendships and possible creative connections.
