Because He Lives

Beloved Sister - Joan Elaine Taylor, was the second of nine children. Just a few weeks ago, I reminded her how I used to bite her (because mom had us in the same crib), which always invoked laughter.

I can recall G being in the rehabilitation center back in 2008 and our daily talks in her room and sometimes in the garden. As the world turns, during my illness, she comforted me tremendously. G is the sister that comforted all her siblings, that’s how strong and resilient she was. Imagine, while she was sick, she instructed Ron to cook crowfoot for me knowing it was my favorite. Then she would call and say, “I have something for you.” I recently told her she could conduct a class on “Positive Thinking and Resiliency.”

Although we were now hundreds of miles apart, we spoke frequently and occasionally by FaceTime. We will miss you GB - my endearing name for her. May God bless you. You are now in the embrace of Dad, Mom, Junior, and Hutch.

“G” I will always remember the great days when I used to take you on the back of my bicycle to and from Frome Senior School. We got on the road and went straight home, because our uncles took the same road home and you know what that meant (wink wink).

Another fond memory is our wonderful and playful days with family and friends at Bluefields Beach.

Your being ill became very difficult at times for me. Dealing with your illness often brought tears to my eyes, especially when I was away from you.
