KURO Our autumn/winter is inspired by the Japanese word for the colour black – Kuro. Reintroducing everyone’s favourite anti-­color, bringing it back from the depths of inconspicuousness and ubiquity by using it as an accent colour.

GRAM IS ALL ABOUT SOPHISTICATED SNEAKERS Gram is all about making sophisticated sneakers.

We create shoes that fill the gap between sneakers and traditional shoes. Our roots lie in the Scandinavian design aesthetic; design with clean lines and attention to details. Each model being unique in its own simplicity. The brand is centered around the concept of weight, with each shoe being named after its weight in grams. The brand started in 2005 and is based in Stockholm, Sweden.

INSPIRATION: KURO A/W13 from Gram represents a sense of playful seriousness.

An elegant sports vibe bathing in solemn tones of grey, darkest navy, burgundy and brown. And contrasting it all is a tone so solemn, so dark and serious it makes every other colour stand out like rays of sunshine - ­Black.

For A/W13 Gram takes inspiration from the Japanese word for the colour black – Kuro – and uses it to reintroduce everyone’s favorite anti-­colour, the most overlooked yet looked upon shade known to man. Bringing it back from the depths of inconspicuousness and ubiquity by simply using it as an accent colour.

The collection Kuro is all about sophistication; simple shapes, clean lines, attention to detail. And a sort of elegant sports vibe reverberating through the whole collection. The spectrum of materials is kept to a minimum allowing the shapes and combinations of colour to speak clearly. Top stitching is being tucked away with new models constructed entirely around the more complex stitch&turn technique.

Full grain custom drum dyed leather intertwined with Korean made ballistic nylon, graphic prints, thick felted wool and 12oz dyed cotton canvas. On the inside changes have taken place as well, with the staple lining offwhite canvas giving way to a more technical 3M Scotchguard treated microknit that offers unparalleled

comfort and moisture wicking capabilities. Hints of reflective synthetic highlight the collection The quality and workmanship are taken to a new higher level with the introduction of the 380g True Stitch. In essence a Reverse Goodyear Welt construction that results in a softer fit and a pair of shoes that will remain your faithful companion season in and season out.

This season Gram also partners with distinguished Swedish designer Carin Wester to deliver a contemporary take on the classic 380g. In typical Carin Wester fashion the shoe combines interesting irregular angles with elegant detailing. All in a sober colour scheme with tell tale hints of colour. A midsole is added for increased outsole height and a moulded toe cap detail on the front intertwine timeless style with new ideas.

A new lo-top joins the ranks for AW13. The sleek 430g is a lighter alternative to the new model 470g. A clear mix of brogue derby and classic sneaker makes for an all-round easy piece of footwear, fit for most situations. True flat last for that low CG look and hand-punch detailing on the toe set it apart from other street creepers.

Black and orange high density Korean made ballistic nylon canvas, hand printed Digi Camo 12oz cotton canvas and shiny metal eyelets create a balance between edgy and relaxed.

THE COLLAB CARIN WESTER Gram partnered with distinguished Swedish designer Carin Wester to deliver a contemporary take on our classic 380g.

The result speaks for itself. In typical Carin Wester fashion the shoe combines interesting irregular angles with elegant detailing. All in a sober colour scheme that fits both men and women. Utilizing Gram’s full grain drum dyed leather for comfort and durability, Carin adds an 8mm EVA midsole for increased outsole height. Black, grey and brown full grain

drum dyed leathers with nappa leather lining throughout the mini collection. The shoe also features a unique moulded toe cap detail on the front and flat imitation leather laces in matching colour, intertwining timeless style and new ideas.

Available in grey & brown with black sole for men’s and grey, brown and black with white sole for women’s.

Embodying the essence of classic men’s footwear with its simple derby cut and pairing it with a sneaker like, light weight, dura-lite outsole and rubber heel for unrivalled comfort. Using only carefully selected premium materials and genuine handcraft during the production process, every 380g is hand lasted by skilled artisans and matched pair by pair, for the ultimate dressed up comfort experience. The drum dyed full grain aniline leather ensures a beautiful ageing process of the shoe. The leather is left untreated after dyeing, which leaves the natural surface of the leather bare and allows it to breathe more easily, creating a wearable shoe that will get more beautiful with time.

A natural progression of a hi-top from the familiar 380g in the Light Weight-line. The 390g offers a comfortable jodphur lace up hybrid with great detail, such as the Norwegian toe stitch. Resting on the same newly developed dura-lite outsole as the 380g with the same durable natural rubber heel.

The 390g is a shoe boot that mixes classic with modern. High quality drum dyed full grain cow leather with Korean made high density nylon. Black, shiny metal eyelets with hand-punched patterns. This is a shoe to wear a lot, that features anatomical insole, tempered steel shank and a full leather lining.

Gram’s vulcanized shoe - 352g - is a fresh take on the oldest of sneaker constructions, based around the idea of taking one of footwear’s most generic products and well known shapes and re-engineering it to fit the modern Gram customer. The 352g is an action packed new take on a classic, with high quality materials, a fully dampened insole, logo outsole with proprietary pattern and full attention to detail. This season the 352g will be avaliable in several hand-printed materials and of course the classic offerings in black and white cotton canvas.

Easily carving out it’s own niche using hi-density roughed up EVA for outsole encircled by a heavy duty leather welt and topped off with full grain cow leather and felted wool. Offering both a superior comfort last and an all leather lining as well as a stable way to quickly rise another 5 inches off the ground.

292g - THE GRAM TOTE For many men the briefcase and the canvas tote are the only two options for carrying stuff around.

We agree. At least on the canvas tote.

For AW13 Gram presents two styles of tote bags in this season’s selected fabrics. One in high quality printed cotton twill with chain pattern and one in a high density Korean made navy nylon canvas. Brass snap-buttons at the top and a leather patch finish off the full gusset construction.

The tote is carried either in the longer webbing strap or the shorter handles. Size: 34cmx8cmx46cm
