VALENTINE’S DATE NIGHT: SUSHIMAKING & SAKE-TASTING CLASS

Grab your special someone for a Valentine’s or Galentine’s date night making sushi and sampling sake with Chef Ethan Starr, full-time instructor of The Culinary School of Fort Worth and past Head Sushi Chef and Sous Chef at Tokyo Cafe. During this class, the chef will teach you all about the sushi-making process, such as how to properly wash and cook rice, identifying and selecting quality ingredients, and training on the different types of sushi. Not only will you learn to make your very own sushi with high-quality ingredients, but there will be enough for you to take home as well! Plus, you get to leave with the tools you need to make your own sushi at home. Learn from our very own REC of Grapevine personal trainer Alyssa Bankes, NASM, how you can enjoy nutritious and delicious meals and snacks no matter how busy your schedule or what your dietary restrictions may be. During this course, you will learn how to plan and prepare healthy food in advance that will set you up for success all year long. In addition, you will get to take home one of the meals that you learn about for the whole family! This class is perfect for all ages and phases of life, so come learn something new! Fun plant-based cooking teaser for the whole family! If you have ever wanted to try a plant-based lifestyle, this is the class for you. We will be starting with the basics and giving fun and informational tips to help prepare some delicious meals in a quick and easy manner. There will be a $12 supply fee due to the instructor on the day of class. DATE NIGHT

Come and join in making an unforgettable three-course Italian meal. Chef Scott will lead the way through a menu of classic bruschetta and buttery chicken piccata, laid on a bed of handmade pasta. Dessert will be a decadent tiramisu. You and your date will prepare this meal in a cozy setting that will bring you closer together, whether this is your first date or you have been married for years. There will be a $15 supply fee due to the instructor on the day of class. SUSHI-MAKING BASICS

In this class, Chef Scott will show students how to make four types of sushi: 1) Nigiri— rice on the bottom, topping on the top; 2) Gunkan—rice on the inside, seaweed wrapped around, and topping on the top; 3) Inari—rice on the inside, wrapped with fried, seasoned tofu skin; and 4) Maki— your typical sushi roll. Chef Scott will show students how to make half-rolls so that they can prepare their own DIY sushi nights. There will be a $15 supply fee due to the instructor on the day of class. MASTER CHEF TV SHOW JUNIOR - THE COMPETITION

Are you a fan of Chopped? MasterChef Junior? Kids Baking Championship? Rachel Ray’s Kids Cook-off? Try your hand at Chefsville cooking challenges! Kids will have a blast learning new skills they can use for a lifetime. We bring the cooking excitement and mystery themes right to you. Best of all, we eat everything we make!
