Dear Friends, Welcome to the Laredo International Fair and Exposition – a tradition that, thanks to you, continues to bring together thousands to our city each year for a week of fun! This year we are celebrating our 53rd year— and what a ride it has been! Over the decades, countless community volunteers and local businesses have worked together to bring you closer to our county’s agricultural heritage, all while offering our famous schedule of rides, food, craft vendors, entertainers, bands, and home arts competitions. For many area residents, this is the kind of unique event where young adults, parents, and grandparents have been coming together every year. As you walk the grounds this year, be sure to look for our volunteers and let them know what you think. We want to hear from you! On behalf of the board of trustees and the volunteers of this great organization, I hope you enjoy your visit! Respectfully yours,

What a remarkable ride! When I heard my name called out as L.I.F.E. Queen, I could not believe it. Even as last year’s queen placed the crown on my head, I was still in sock. But after a year, it’s been an incredible ride. Ia have visited schools promoting L.I.F.E. and have participated in many other events to support different causes. Meeting children has been the most Enjoyable because I get to explain to them what L.I.F.E. is really about and hopefully, even encourage them to join many of the agricultural programs we have at the fair so that can share in the experience. As I wind down my year and get ready to take that final walk and crown my successor, I cannot help but thank so many people who made this journey possible. Along with my parents, family and friends, I am grateful with Mr. Roy M. Lanier and the L.I.F.E. board for their support and guidance. I also thank my sponsors, without whom a lot of this would not have been made possible. Their generosity is something that I will never forget. To my successor, my wish for you is that you enjoy this night, treasure this moment and reign nobly of your title. It will be and incredible and unforgettable ride for you. You will learn and experience things. And you will grow. God bless all of you! – L.I.F.E. 2015 Queen, Tammye Sue Schandua
