Virgin Oil Press Kft. has been producing cold-pressed oils under brand name Grapoila since 2009 with a location in Hungary. It’s always been the ultimate goal to produce high quality, delicious, healthy food with as little negative impact on the environment as possible. Thanks to this green approach the company quickly managed to realize a unique, real zero waste food production method. This first of all means the processing of each and every part of the raw material, followed by recycling all the developed byproducts, and making nutritious, gourmet food, natural cosmetics or animal feed from them. Grapoila products and the production method has won many food and innovation awards in the recent years.

About the production

During the processing of the raw materials there are two primer by-products. The first residue of the cold-pressing is the so called pellet, that we mill and sieve, and in the end get a finely ground, gluten free seed flour/powder. Thanks to the gentle production method (mechanical pressing only, without chemical or heat treatment), seed flours generally are*

• very low in fat

• low in energy

• preserve the (water soluble) vitamins, minerals and other prescious nutrients of the natural seeds

• low in carbohydrate

• high in vegan proteins

• rich in special antioxidant ingredients

If in case of a food production process it is important to avoid chemicals and synthetic additives, seed flours are an ideal choice as ingredients. Though, each differs in characters and attributes, they can be used as NATURAL :

Living on diets is not easy. Whether there is a disease behind or it is the result of a health-conscious life, you have to pay attention to food ingredients. To make sure that a food suits the diet rules people rather cook themselves at home. However, home cooking and baking is a quite time consuming activity that is hard to manage in today’s world. On the other hand making certain type of food from specific dietary ingredients - such as gluten free ones - is full of challanges. Whoever has ever tried to bake any gluten free bread-type food knows, that they usually end up in the trash several times before the best result. And the best result is still often far from a full satisfaction. By baking diet proof, salty bakery goods, or even sweet savouries from own recipes people often compromise on enjoyment level.

This is a sugar-free, vegan, ketogenic bread mix with golden flaxseed flour. The main ingredient of this sugar-free, ketogenic pizza mix is the valuable, nutritious almond flour. From a package of 250 g you can bake two pieces of delicious gluten free pizza, that suit the ketogenic diet. Great with any of your favourite pizza toppings!

The sugar-free, vegan mix is boosted with golden flaxseed flour. The tortillas are easy to bake, delicious, flexible and gluten free, without wheat and corn flours, specifically for those on ketogen diet. The tortilla mix is also available in low-carb only version (non-ketogen).

MIXES FOR SWEET PASTRIES

Sweet (sugar) craving is a big problem to basically everyone, especially to those on a special diet. It is hard to withstand, but it is possible, by eating the right food and stopping bad habits. The key is to hold balance in the intake of the macronutrients (protein, carbohydrates and fat) and not to let overload daily meals with starch and carbohydrate. Eating too much carbohydrate (in the form of sugar, or pasta and dough made from wheat flour) will lead to a blood sugar spike and crash. Those calories are absorbed fast, and don’t keep us feeling full or satisfied. Consuming food that also contains a portion of good protein (especially from vegan source) helps in satiety, and prevents blood sugar spikes and drops.

Special diets (ketogen, paleo, diabetes) have accurate regulations for the daily intake of macronutrients, especially carbohydrates. We have developed flour mixes for sweet pastries, cookies and meals that are not only certified gluten-free, but have natural ingredients (no artificial coloring, flavouring agents, preservatives or emulgeants) alone. Meanwhile, - thanks to their seed flour content - they generally are low on carbohydrates, but high in vegan protein*, that enhances the total nutritional value of the final food, and most of the mixes* fit in the trendy but strict diets.

The pastries from our mixes are delicious and can be made quickly. They come with proven recipes and stepby-step instructions. As sweeteners we use erythritol and steviol - if at all. The add-ins are easy to supply.

Babies’ immune and digestion systems are especially sensitive to any potential allergens or syntetic ingredients. Introducing babies to solid foods after breastfeeding (or formula) is a big milestone. You have to be careful, and choose the right food at the right time. We have developed the formula, from wich you can bake healthy and nutritious biscuits for your most precious treasures, as soon as they are developmentally ready (they are able to pick up food, and chew).

Our mixes are made of carefully selected, natural ingredients, and may contain allergens in traces only, they are vegan, as well as gluten- and sugar free. As complementary food they provide a range of nutrients and energy for the growth and development of babies over 9 months and children. If making biscuits in size that fits into 6-9-month-old babies’ fists, they will be able to hold the food, and feed themselves. Two variations available.
