Committee News
"Staying Current in Trying Times" By Paul Gatehouse Independence Financial Advisors, LLC
It’s been over 6 months since COVID-19 has become part of our lives. Many of our local businesses have had to reduce hours, layoff staff, close, reinvent themselves and now work on reopening under new guidelines. The Rochester Chamber has been an important link throughout, keeping you and the community up-to-date with resources available to businesses, what’s going on in the community and the state, and keeping you current on information from the Governor’s Office that effects your business. In this time of social distancing and strained budgets, the Chamber gives you a great way to communicate with others through E Blasts, advertising on the Chamber newsletters and events. Get outside and enjoy the foliage!
The Greater Rochester Young Professionals will be launching more virtual meetings this fall! Stay tuned for more information. To get on the email list for the Greater Rochester Young Professionals, contact Kaelyn Bamford at the Chamber at (603)332-5080 x3, kbamford@rochesternh.org, or visit us on Facebook at facebook.com/groups/ grypgroup.

The Chamber is looking forward to thanking its members this year as part of its annual Operation Thank You. Although we won’t be able to personally greet members in person this year and hand out printed directories, amid the COVID-19 situation, the Chamber’s Ambassador Committee is leading the charge to personally call members over a 3-day period. Operation Thank You is sponsored by First Seacoast Bank and will be held from Wednesday to Friday, October 14-16 2020. Volunteers are being sought to take part in this annual effort to reach out to member businesses and thank them for their support of the Chamber. In addition to helping the Chamber reach all its members, this effort also provides a good opportunity to make connections with businesses. The Chamber will provide volunteers with a list of 10-25 businesses. Volunteers will be provided a few days in which to contact those members on their list. Contact information and information to discuss will also be provided. Our thanks to First Seacoast Bank for their support of this annual event. We hope you will consider being part of this fun effort. Please contact Tanya at the Chamber office at 603-332-5080, x2 or via email at memberservices@rochesternh.org.
