MBA 3ON3 BASKETBALL LEAGUE • GRADES 3-6 The emphasis for this program is skill development and fun! Our goal is to allow young athletes to enjoy and learn the game in a friendly but competitive environment. Games will be officiated by one volunteer parent who will provide instruction to both teams as needed to keep the game moving and enjoyable for everyone.

BENEFITS OF SMALL SIDE GAMES:

• Increased amount of time with the basketball and/or time involved in the play • Helps players better understand spacing • Creates more decision making opportunities • Allows players to more easily play and understand different positions Each Sunday, players will experience half-hour of open gym along with lite instruction, followed by two 15-minute games with a short break in between games. Teams will consist of 3-4 players. Players will be divided each week to play with new teammates. This helps build new friendships, learn how to play with others and is likely to result in players experiencing both winning and losing, as both are lessons learned through sports. Includes: 10 league games, open gym with lite instruction before the game, league t-shirt to keep and a reversible jersey to use for games only (returned to MCC). League will not meet Memorial Day weekend.

DOLPHIN/BARRACUDA COMMUNITY SWIM TEAM The Mission of The Greater Midland Community Center’s Dolphins/ Barracuda Swim Team is to promote competitive swimming in the Midland Community. Together, the board of Directors, coaching staff and partners maintain a positive atmosphere that allows each athlete to achieve his or her personal goals. We do this by providing the opportunities for our swimmers to swim at both local and competitive swim meets with our Dolphins/Barracuda swim program. Our goal is to provide quality coaching and to give each child an overall positive swimming experience. Prices for all groups are based on a weekly fee and weeks change from session to session. For more information contact Beth Gaertner Sr. Program Director at 989.923.1798 or Bgaertner@greatermidland.org
