Hospitality Fest 2019 On Aug. 29, nearly 600 corporate and association planners, hoteliers, general managers, sourcing specialists and Magnificent Mile Association members attended the fourth annual Hospitality Fest at the Millennium Knickerbocker Chicago to network and explore new industry offerings. Attendees connected with local vendors to learn about event venue updates, new private dining offerings and team-building activities, scope out new rental options and sample Chicagoland catering options. Chicago Blackhawks anthem singer Jim Cornelison sang the national anthem to start the event’s networking reception and guests toured the hotel, which was sprinkled with Al Capone-, flapper- and Hugh Hefner-themed interactive elements to celebrate the venue’s past as the home of a former casino and speakeasy run by the Capone family, the site of a gangster hangout and a property formerly owned by Hefner. hospitalityfest.com
