Whether attending corporate meetings at world-class venues or lounging by one of the city’s 22 lakes, your next meeting or event in Minneapolis is sure to leave a lasting impression.

UNPARALLELED VENUES

As the largest convention center in the Upper Midwest, the Minneapolis Convention Center (MCC) is equipped to handle a diverse variety of events. Boasting more than 475,000 square feet of exhibition space equipped with state-of-the-art technology, the MCC has played host to trade and consumer shows, sports tournaments, career fairs, galas, concerts, and more. Just a 20-minute drive from the international airport, traveling to the MCC is made seamless by its 900-space underground parking ramp, additional 8,000 nearby parking spaces, and location along multiple popular bus routes. The MCC is also conveniently connected to the city’s 9.5-mile indoor skyway system (the largest of its kind in the world), making downtown Minneapolis accessible and welcoming, with easy access to over 4,000 hotel rooms and popular venues including U.S. Bank Stadium, Target Field, and Target Center. These three high-caliber stadiums host much more than just your favorite sports teams, accounting for some of the finest meeting and event venues in the city. Since its opening in 2016, U.S. Bank Stadium—home of the Minnesota Vikings—has hosted everything from the 2018 Super Bowl to the X Games from 2017-2020 to countless concerts for world-famous artists. For more intimate gatherings, the venue contains plenty of exhibition and club space, including the Medtronic Club with 1,100 seats and an 11,555-square-foot lounge and the Delta Sky360° Club, which provides 600 guests with expansive views of the field.

Beyond being home of the beloved Minnesota Twins, Target Field is also a multifaceted meeting and event venue, capable of hosting both large-scale and intimate gatherings. Rent the entire stadium to capacity or opt for one of its smaller meeting rooms. The Champion’s Club is the perfect space to enjoy a banquet-style meal, with a capacity of 400, and the Budweiser Roof Deck boasts an unobstructed view of the field, with 120 fixed seats and extra room for standing.

Home court to the Timberwolves and Lynx, Target Center features six newly renovated restaurant and bar spaces with options for breakout rooms and arena floor access. From the modern farmhouse-style Six One Two Lounge, the casual, activity-packed Club TI, or the arena floor, which has a capacity of 2,000, options are endless.

ST. PAUL

Minneapolis’ “twin city” has a variety of multifaceted venues of its own. Downtown lies the Xcel Energy Center or “The X,” which serves as home base for the Minnesota Wild, as well as a lively concert and event venue, with multiple private event spaces available for rent. Nearby, Allianz Field draws crowds in support of the Minnesota United FC, the state’s soccer team, but is also a multipurpose event venue. Baseball fans can catch a game at CHS Field, a lively event venue in Lowertown that plays host to the St. Paul Saints, a Triple-A affiliate of the Minnesota Twins.

The dynamic suburbs surrounding Minneapolis carry an array of iconic shopping, dining, and entertainment options that you can’t miss. Add these gems to your bucket list to make the most of your time in the Twin Cities.

A trip to Minnesota is hardly complete without a stroll through the largest mall in the Western Hemisphere— Mall of America, located just a 30-minute light rail ride or 15-minute drive from Minneapolis. Spend the afternoon traversing the mall’s abundant brand name and locally owned stores, exploring its vast entertainment options, and indulging in a surplus of casual and fine dining, including restaurants like CRAVE American Kitchen & Sushi Bar and Cedar + Stone Urban Table. Venture to nearby Edina to meet for a sophisticated, European-inspired brunch at The Lynhall, a bakery, cafe, and brunch destination that also offers U.K.-style afternoon tea. In neighboring Robbinsdale, Travail Kitchen + Amusements is another must-visit. The experiential restaurant offers a continuously evolving chef’s tasting menu, tableside cooking, a seclusive basement bar, and flexible private event space. Explore new realms of entertainment possibilities in St. Paul by booking a table at The Detective Dinner, where you can solve a hilarious murder mystery while feasting on a multicourse dinner—consider customizing your mystery scenario for a thrilling private event. Also in St. Paul, take a historic journey to the gilded age at the James J. Hill House, a 36,000-square-foot mansion that was once the largest private residence in the state, and has several rooms available to host elegant private events.

MINNEAPOLIS PRIDE

Minneapolis has a proud tradition of inclusion that ensures everyone feels welcomed and celebrated throughout the city. In fact, Minneapolis has topped multiple lists for being one of the friendliest cities in the U.S. for LGBTQ+ communities. And while the city does not have a designated LGBTQ+ district, it abounds with businesses, entertainment venues, and events that celebrate this diverse community.

Show support by shopping at one of the many queer-owned businesses throughout the city, including the colorful and eclectic Tandem Vintage, the indulgent Dancing Bear Chocolate,

and the endlessly dreamy Tangletown Gardens. Visit Quatrefoil Library to engage in enlightening reading and conversation, a nonprofit library and community center where LGBTQ+ materials are made accessible for education and inspiration.

Minneapolis is known for its lively drag brunches, many of which are produced by Flip Phone Events, and hosted at restaurants including Union Rooftop and CRAVE . These performances explore a variety of themes, from pop culture icons to beloved TV classics. When the sun goes down, cozy up with a craft brew at Up-Down Minneapolis, a 21-plus arcade bar and pizzeria that hosts weekly Gay Mondays, which have been voted “Best LGBTQ Event” by CityPages. Keep the night going downtown, where gay bars and nightclubs like The Saloon , Gay 90s , and EAGLE MPLS always draw a crowd.

DOWNTOWN MINNEAPOLIS

NICOLLET

This welcoming, tree-lined avenue is a vibrant tapestry of art, entertainment, and local flair

Just a few blocks from the Minneapolis Convention Center, Nicollet (formerly known as Nicollet Mall) is a 1-mile, pedestrian-friendly avenue running through the heart of downtown Minneapolis. With its lively restaurant patios, captivating public art displays, and plethora of small and locally owned businesses, it is no wonder this hub of downtown is often referred to as “the Main Street of Minneapolis.”

On the south end of Nicollet, you’ll find the reputable Orchestra Hall, home of the Grammy Award-winning Minnesota Orchestra, and six state-of-the-art event spaces perfect for seated dinners, receptions, pre- and post-concert gatherings, and more. From many of these spaces, guests can enjoy sweeping views of the downtown skyline, as well as nearby Peavey Plaza, an outdoor sunken plaza and amphitheater that often plays host to public events.

Just across the street, Brit’s Pub brings the U.K. to Minneapolis, offering English pub fare, beer pints, and lawn bowling on its spacious rooftop, which doubles as a private event space. Seek more delicious fare and entertainment at nearby Dakota, a jazzy cabaret venue with nightly performances and a full-service restaurant and bar. Rent private event space for groups as small as 10 and as large as 350. To engage guests in a unique team building experience, book an afternoon at Escape the Room Minneapolis, where you will work together to solve puzzles, crack codes, and uncover your escape route. Unwind afterward at nearby Devil’s Advocate , to sip craft brews and cocktails and enjoy Italian-inspired dishes made from locally sourced ingredients. To keep the fun going all night, visit The Nicollet Diner, Minneapolis’ only 24-hour diner that is known for being an inclusive and LGBTQ+-friendly establishment. Visit on Sundays to enjoy a weekly drag brunch, check the website for regular karaoke nights, game nights, and stand-up comedy shows, or rent out private event space for up to 200 people.

If you’re looking for happy hour deals and sociable patios, then Nicollet is just the spot. Visit Barrio to enjoy scratchmade Latin cuisine and find half-priced margaritas during designated afternoon and late-night happy hours. Whiskey lovers will find solace at the hand-carved, 80-foot-long bar of The Local , a classic Irish pub that offers several spaces for private events as well as partial and full bar buy outs.

Across the street, The News Room beckons to adventurers with its 32-foot sailboat-shaped bar and has meeting space available for groups of up to 400.

Explore a collection of shopping and retail options at Gaviidae Common, a building which shares its name with the scientific moniker for Minnesota’s state bird: the common loon. Here you’ll find Uniquely Global, a locally owned clothing boutique that embraces the richness of African culture. In the IDS Center, a 57-story office building and retail center, Sistah Co-op brings another unique shopping experience, carrying clothing and beauty brands owned by local BIPOC entrepreneurs. Not far, bookworms will want to check out Strive Bookstore , a unique shop that empowers and uplifts the Black cultural heritage through storytelling and literary events. Event guests can find everything they’ll need and more at the two-story flagship Target store on Ninth Street, which has a comprehensive grocery section, Starbucks, pharmacy, clinic, optical, and more.

Make your way to Seventh Street to witness a beloved snippet of Minneapolis history: the Mary Tyler Moore Statue, which captures the actress raising her hat to the city that starred alongside her in her 1970s hit TV show. At the north end of Nicollet, you’ll find the Meet Minneapolis Visitor Center , where attendees can head to inquire about the best dining, entertainment, and attractions to explore during their stay, and shop souvenirs by local makers. The Nicollet Mall light rail station is just outside, making it simple to hop on and explore more of downtown, or plan a visit to St. Paul or Mall of America.

The park is the site of some of the Twin Cities’ largest public festivals, including Twin Cities Pride, an annual celebration of the LGBTQ+ community, and Holidazzle , a winter marketplace and community festival. HENNEPIN THEATER DISTRICT

This dazzling entertainment district offers some of the city’s best theaters, live music venues, and group dining options

Minnesota is second to only New York for the most theaters per capita in the U.S., and along this happening strip of downtown, it is easy to see why. To stroll through the Hennepin Theater District is to be captivated by the fanfare of showbiz, from lit-up marquees, to twinkling rooftop patios, to historic live music venues. The only difficult thing about enjoying “dinner and a show” here is deciding between an abundance of theaters, live performance events, upscale bars, and awardwinning restaurants.

A bundle of three historic theaters call this district home, including the Orpheum, State, and Pantages, all operated by Hennepin Arts. These renowned venues play host to concerts, speakers, touring Broadway shows, and more, and have already slated an exciting lineup for the 2024-25 season—including the world premiere of “Purple Rain,” a stage adaptation of the legendary film and album by Minneapolis’ hometown hero, Prince. Organizers can take advantage of these theaters’ customized group ticketing service to meet their specific needs. Hennepin Arts also operates The Hennepin, an event center that hosts educational and theater district programming and uses its building to support community nonprofits. For a touch of humor, visit Brave New Workshop at the Dudley Riggs

Theatre, the oldest satire theater in the country where you can enjoy original comedy, improv, and satire performances.

Music aficionados will relish in the iconic history found at First Avenue, a live music venue that once served as Prince’s testing site for new material, as well as the setting of his movie “Purple Rain.” The venue’s exterior is covered in white painted stars proclaiming the names of music legends who have performed there, including Aerosmith, Queen Latifah, Red Hot Chili Peppers, and of course, Prince. At its adjoining space 7th St. Entry , you can catch some of the first performances from up-and-coming names in the music industry. Consider renting out either of these venues to make your event one to remember. Nearby, Skyway Theatre provides the Twin Cities with a variety of musical performances, from electronic dance, to rock, to country. Rent out its main stage area or one of its more intimate spaces like Studio B to dance the night away against the backdrop of sweeping skyline views.

In this part of Minneapolis, you and your attendees can dine among the skyscrapers at rooftop restaurants like

7TH ST. ENTRY

LoringGreenway

CRAVE American Kitchen & Sushi Bar , which offers private dining, and Union Rooftop, Minneapolis’ only year-round, glassenclosed rooftop that is reservable for private parties. The Capital Grille shares building space with State Theatre, making it easy to pop over after a show and enjoy a meal from one of its rentable dining rooms. Explore more private dining options at Fogo De Chão, a Brazilian steakhouse that can accommodate groups from 10 to 100, or Murray’s Restaurant & Cocktail Lounge, a historic establishment operated by three generations of the same family, with private space for up to 50 seated guests.

For a more relaxed atmosphere, enjoy a happy hour at Lyon’s Pub or O’Donovan’s, two pub-style bars that offer regular deals on drinks and pub grub. Find The Depot Tavern attached to First Avenue, where you can gaze at walls filled with 40 years of music history while you enjoy a craft brew or cocktail. Even more history abounds at Gluek’s, the oldest bar in Minneapolis with origins tracing back to 1855. Here, attendees can enjoy regular live music and delicious German-inspired fare as they take in the legendary atmosphere.

DOWNTOWN EAST & MILL CITY

From rising skyline views to the rushing waters of St. Anthony Falls, the Downtown East and Mill City districts harbor a unique convergence of natural beauty and urban life

In the Downtown East and Mill City districts, you’ll find some of the most recognizable views in the city, whether they be state-of-the-art stadiums, award-winning theaters, or the lively banks of the Mississippi River. The area has undergone a drastic transformation over the past few decades, with old parking lots and railroad tracks giving way to high-rise condos, sleek office buildings, and upscale eateries. Boasting impressive access to modern amenities, historical and artistic institutions, convenient dining, and ample green space, these districts shine as premier meeting and event destinations of Minneapolis.

If you’re around during football season, you may hear chants of “SKOL!” coming from the gleaming, 73,000-seat U.S. Bank Stadium —home of the Minnesota Vikings. This stadium is well-versed in supporting large-scale events, in the past hosting everything from the Super Bowl to the X Games, to concerts for world-famous artists like Taylor Swift, Ed Sheeran, and Beyoncé. The Commons sprawls out in front of the stadium, an inviting 4.2-acre public park that hosts events and seasonal activities. A few blocks away, you’ll find another popular event venue—the historic Minneapolis Armory, which once served as the site of Prince’s “1999” music video and now maintains a packed schedule of concerts, sporting events, trade shows, and private events.

The Mill City district derives its name from the numerous flour mills that once dominated the area, earning it a reputation as “the flour milling capital of the world.” While these mills are no longer running, visitors can still wander through the

Mill City Museum to take in this intriguing history. The storied district has since become a prime riverfront entertainment hub, characterized by skyline views and stunning architecture like that of the Tony-award-winning Guthrie Theater. Known for its three stages, 178-foot “Endless Bridge,” and enclosed, yellow-tinted Amber Box balcony, the Guthrie is a gem of the city, and offers monthly backstage and architecture group tours as well as private corporate event space.

Nearby, respite is offered by the sprawling 7.4-acre Gold Medal Park, a riverfront lawn that features four unique sculptures from the Minneapolis Sculpture Garden’s collection. More public leisure space is found at West River Parkway , where prime views unfurl along riverside walking and biking paths that eventually lead to the St. Anthony Falls Visitor Center and Stone Arch Bridge. While currently under construction for renovation, this historic bridge is one of the most beloved landmarks of the city, boasting impressive views of the Mississippi River, St. Anthony Falls, and the downtown skyline. The bridge is expected to open back up to the public by 2026.

Whether looking for a sophisticated sit-down dinner or a quick grab-and-go bite, Downtown East and Mill City have plenty of options for you. Enjoy a night of fine dining at awardwinning Umbra, which serves seasonal bistro fare that celebrates local farms and producers. The riverside Owamni is equally esteemed, a decolonized dining experience that serves Indigenous North American cuisine delicious enough to earn a James Beard Award in 2022. Just steps away from U.S. Bank Stadium, indulge in fresh Argentine cooking at Boludo, where scratch-made empanadas and pizzas make for the perfect post-meeting bite. If you’re looking for quality Asian dining, visit Zen Box Izakaya, which specializes in ramen and Japanese comfort food, or Sawatdee , where you can enjoy classic Thai cuisine and happy hour deals in a private room that seats up to 50 guests. A distinctly local dining experience awaits at Farmers Kitchen + Bar, an eatery entirely owned by the local farmers who make up the Minnesota Farmers Union.

STONE ARCH BRIDGE
BOLUDO

Find brunch, dinner, happy hour, or coffee break at Klassics Kitchen + Cocktails and its conjoined C.R.E.A.M Cafe, where group reservations and private parties are regularly hosted. The area is also populated by multiple breweries and pubs that are great for happy hours and casual dining. Enjoy homemade pizzas at Day Block Brewing, where you can also choose from a selection of craft brews, cocktails, or wine, and rent out its historic taproom for groups of up to 100 people. Finnegan’s Brew Co. is similarly multifaceted, boasting a 60,000-squarefoot taproom, a 4,000-square-foot outdoor courtyard, and three unique event spaces for up to 1,000 people. Check a Minneapolis must off your bucket list at Crooked Pint Ale House, where alongside regular happy hours on food and drinks, you can enjoy the famous Juicy Lucy, a burger that is legendary in the Twin Cities.

MINNEAPOLIS IS A CITY FULL OF SURPRISES

DISCOVER OUR HIDDEN GEMS WORTH AN EXTENDED STAY!

NORTH LOOP & WAREHOUSE DISTRICT

Visit one of the most talked about neighborhoods in Minneapolis to enjoy fine dining, elevated fashion, and a social scene like no other

What was once a largely neglected strip of vacant brick buildings and warehouses has today grown into one of the most buzzed-about neighborhoods in the Twin Cities. A walkable district of hip boutiques, sophisticated restaurants, trendy bars, and high-profile music and sporting events, the North Loop and Warehouse District is one of the most sought-after areas to live, work, and play in Minneapolis, and is a must-see for visitors.

Harboring one of the city’s highest concentrations of awardwinning chefs and restaurants, the North Loop is an oasis for fine dining connoisseurs. Many of these restaurants vividly illustrate the neighborhood’s rag to riches story, like Spoon and Stable , a renowned French-inspired restaurant that is located within a former horse stable. The hot spot is led by James Beard Award-winning chef Gavin Kaysen, who is also behind Demi and Mara, two equally celebrated fine dining destinations in the North Loop. Other acclaimed chefs dominate the area as well, including Isaac Becker, who leads 112 Eatery, his flagship restaurant and a James Beard Award winner, and Bar La Grassa, an upscale Italian eatery with an extensive wine list and private dining for up to 32 people. Chef Billy Tserenbat is another one to talk about, a two-time Global Sushi Challenge contender and the chef behind Billy Sushi, a hip, authentic sushi restaurant that is known for drawing in local and out-of-town celebrities. Skilled mixologists shake up drinks in the neon glow of Billy After Dark, the restaurant’s conjoined basement bar.

More casual, laid-back dining options can be found in the neighborhood as well. Try local favorite The Freehouse to enjoy gastropub fare, house-brewed beer, daily happy hours, and private dining for up to 50 seated guests (75 standing). Across the street, indulge in Borough’s popular brisket-blend burger, which is found on multiple “Best Burger” lists, and

then visit its basement bar Parlour to sip inventive cocktails in recluse. Smack Shack is paradise for seafood lovers, serving classic coastal dishes like jambalaya, lobster rolls, and calamari in a relaxed, social atmosphere. For a meat-focused menu, flock to the cozy, light-strung interior of Butcher & The Boar, where smoked meats, bourbon cocktails, and craft beer make for a perfect night of dining. Nestled within the space you’ll also find Char Bar , a hidden whiskey bar with snacks and elevated handhelds.

The social nature of the North Loop makes it an ideal destination for collective food halls, where groups can dine together without having to compromise on favorites. Graze Provisions + Libations has options for everyone, with two levels, two bars, six restaurant vendors with international options, and a rooftop patio accompanied by skyline views. Groups can also choose from four private event spaces (both indoor and outdoor) if they opt to host within this dynamic space. Not far, North Loop Galley assembles a variety of unique dining experiences within one space, from Detroit-style pizza to authentic Hawaiian plates. The neighborhood is also home to many breweries and cideries with flexible private event space. Start at Number 12 Cider, where you can find the largest variety of award-winning cider in Minnesota and host private events for up to 35 people. Fulton Beer is also a standout, with a multifaceted taproom and signature beers and seltzers. To dance the night away, visit Ava, a unique nightclub, bar, and lounge experience, where three distinct spaces cater to a variety of tastes and occasions.

WEST BANK & CEDAR-RIVERSIDE

A hub for arts and global dining, this eclectic area offers a great diversity of amenities

Many communities— Augsburg University , the West Bank campus of the University of Minnesota (U of M), and a strong network of immigrants—contribute to the West Bank and Cedar-Riverside neighborhoods’ reputation for international dining, small-business shopping, and nightlife. University students, multigenerational families, and trailblazing artists are drawn to the area, and whether you’re hosting at one of the universities’ many amenity-rich spaces or the Minneapolis Convention Center (located just a few minutes south), your guests will enjoy the proximity to activities and entertainment. When looking for a bite to eat, you’ve come to the right place. Local favorites include Dilla’s Ethiopian Restaurant, The Red Sea, which features Ethiopian food and live music, and Lucky Dragon for Vietnamese fried rice, soups, or spicy shrimp dishes.

The West Bank Diner serves up East African and American fare. Relax with a local brew or cocktail and pub fare at Town Hall Brewery. Grab a dog and fries at The Wienery, featured on Food Network’s “Diners, Drive-ins, and Dives.” Speaking of dives, Palmer’s Bar has been the neighborhood dive bar since 1906 and is known for its inexpensive cocktails and live music. Stop by Mayday Books, a nonprofit organization with a progressive educational mission, to find thought-provoking reads.

The neighborhood is home to great entertainment including three theaters: Mixed Blood Theatre (a professional multiracial theater company founded in 1976), Theatre in the Round (founded in 1952, this is the longest-running theater in Minneapolis, and has seating all around the stage), and the Southern Theater (a 200-seat venue housed in a century-old building).

Mixed Blood’s pay-what-you-can approach to tickets makes it easy for your event attendees to take in a show, while Theatre in the Round’s arena-style stage offers an immersive theatrical experience. Visit the historic Southern Theater for dance, music, and experimental performances.

Rarig Center, home to the U of M’s Department of Theatre Arts and Dance, features performances throughout the school year, plus the Ted Mann Concert Hall is a great venue for symphonies to seminars as well as dance groups and many other performers. The Cedar Cultural Center —also known as “The Cedar”—incorporates artistic traditions from around the world in its lineup of musical performances. At The Corner Bar, you can hang out and grab a bite and a drink, then head downstairs for some laughs at The Comedy Corner Underground

DINKYTOWN

This college town within a city is the place for entertainment, dining, and sports

Located on the University of Minnesota Twin Cities East Bank campus, Dinkytown might be small in name, but it’s big in amenities. The “town” provides thousands of students, staff, and visitors with tools to excel academically and professionally— plus restaurants, entertainment, and a variety of event spaces.

In addition to handy services such as salons and repair shops, Dinkytown is home to a great selection of eateries and entertainment options. The 24-seat Al’s Breakfast is a cozy diner that’s a favorite for morning meals. Stop in the laid-back Blarney Pub & Grill for a unique Irish American pub vibe. CrunCheese Korean Hot Dog dishes up gourmet dogs in unique flavor combinations. Great choices for takeout include local favorites Shuang Cheng, Le Pot, and Wally’s Falafel and Hummus For a post-meeting sweet or late-night treat, Insomnia Cookies and ice cream delivers until 3 a.m. Find pizza by the slice or order a whole pie at Mesa Pizza, which serves over 50 varieties of specialty pizza. For nightlife, head to a concert or dance performance at the art deco Varsity Theater, which can also host groups of 25 to 750.

Surly Brewing Co. is just a mile east of Dinkytown (an easy trip via the METRO Green Line) and known for its Surly Furious craft beer. The brewery’s 175-person Scheid Hall, which offers audiovisual equipment, linen, and decor, is available to rent. If you prefer an outdoor private event, you can choose its Festival Field. Also in this area is The Market at Malcolm Yards, a food and drink hall that dishes up a wide variety of options— from Asian to vegan—plus private event spaces for 20 to 100 guests or the whole venue for up to 1,000 people.

Just southeast of Dinkytown, Stadium Village is the place for all things Golden Gopher athletics—plus more great restaurants. You can’t miss the 50,805-seat Huntington Bank Stadium, the home stadium of the university’s football team. Nearby, the Gophers take to the ice at the hockey rinks in 3M Arena at Mariucci and Ridder Arena, or in Williams Arena, known as “The Barn” to locals and visitors alike. These venues have amenities for private athletic events as well as group meetings. Find more eateries to the south, including Afro Deli & Grill, which has delicious gyros, falafel, fries, and salads. Sally’s Saloon and Stub & Herbs are longtime favorites for sports fans and alumni hungry for sandwiches, burgers, and classic bar fare. Plus, both are able to accommodate group dining.

In downtown zones, fares are either free (Nicollet Mall Station) or 50¢. Purchase regular tickets at stations, online, or

Our dedicated and experienced staff are prepared to anticipate your every need, including advanced production capabilities for your meeting or event, flexible technology options, and awardwinning cuisine from family-owned Kelber Catering. Discover your next meeting space today at the MCC.

WE’RE CERTIFIED GREEN

The MCC’s sustainability initiatives have earned us a Gold Level certification to the Events Industry Council Sustainable Events Standards. Our Urban Meadow Plaza was awarded Silver certification under the Sustainable SITES Initiative rating system for achievement in landscape sustainability. The Plaza is also the nation’s first SITES-certified project to be located at a convention center and the first-ever SITEScertified project in the Upper Midwest. Previous sustainability recognition for the MCC also includes LEED v4 Certification for Existing Building Operations and Maintenance by the U.S. Green Building Council.

ADD GREEN TEAM TO YOUR EVENT

The MCC recently launched our Green Team initiative. This group of dedicated staff members work alongside our event operations team to assist your event by establishing and ensuring proper recycling and distribution efforts. This group effort incorporates previously established initiatives including front-and-back-of-house recycling operations and leftover food and products being donated to community partners, including People Serving People. Our staff has a

history of collectively and creatively giving back to our community, and we are proud to offer this service to our clients. Our sustainability initiatives continue to expand as we look toward the future with our current and upcoming renovation projects. For more information on our green approach, visit sustainability.minneapolisconventioncenter.com.

WE HAVE THE SPACE

With a wide range of event spaces, you are certain to find the right place to host your next event. The MCC houses 87 meeting rooms, exhibit halls, and auditoriums across its four levels. On the first floor alone, the MCC’s auditorium can host over 3,400 attendees around a large stage or be divided into three separate 430-seat circular lecture halls. The MCC’s flexible 376,000-square-foot contiguous exhibit area divides into four large, distinct exhibit halls, too. In addition, there is a fifth 99,000-square-foot exhibit hall on the MCC’s lower level. The center’s 27,500-square-foot main level ballroom—which can be split into two rooms—is perfect for large galas and similar events. Located on the center’s second level, The Seasons rotunda is a beautiful space for banquets, VIP gatherings, or award ceremonies with lovely views of the city. It can accommodate up to 400 people banquet-style or 500 with reception seating. Alternatively, host an outdoor event on the MCC’s 37,600-square-foot Urban Meadow Plaza, which can accommodate groups as large as 3,900.
