EXPERIENCE. GROWTH.
“When I attended Greenville University, I was really looking for support to better my mental health. GU offered free counseling for students, and it was made readily available. My coaches and professors were well-versed in how to help me get into counseling, and I felt extremely supported by all.”
-Jordan ‘21
“During my time at Greenville, I had a wonderful experience with the music department. I was able to have conversations with the band director and nontraditionally join both as a student and an employee. Greenville gave me the chance to be involved in my many different interests and build some bonds that will never be broken. I also had the chance to grow my faith through conversations and events on campus.” -CJ ‘20
“The MaCallaster Scholarship has really helped me. I would not have had the opportunities I have received without it. It’s been such a blessing to be at Greenville and get a good education through the kind people who provide it. It changes the way that I see the world, the way that I interact with people, and the opportunity to meet life-long friends.” -Callie ‘25
“As a student, I had the opportunity to participate in sports, student government, Vespers (student-led worship), Mentor freshman students, and start my own Men’s Bible Group. Opportunities to lead and pour into others while at GU have served me tremendously in my career today, where my role is to pour into and mold people for a living. I am incredibly grateful for the relationships and opportunities that I was blessed to take part in as a student at GU.”
- Jaime ‘22
EXPERIENCE. DIVERSITY.
31 countries represented on campus.
39 U.S. states represented on campus.
Experience different cultures through the eyes of our students. After all, your new BFF from somewhere across the world could live right next door.
We believe we are better able to understand and adapt to the world around us through the Biblical framework of the Imago Dei principle found in Genesis 1:27.
“I used to wonder if the experience here is worth the distance between Vietnam and the States, but GU proves that it is worth it.” - Minh
“The Office of Culture & Diversity is an active department which upholds a set of principles and values, while noticing the distinction of your individuality. You will no doubt be confronted with the familiar and unfamiliar in a variety of spaces – welcome the risky opportunity to educate and be educated. Experience something new, more than once, and recognize the mutual benefit of the future you are being prepared for while at GU.
Psalm 27:14 in the Message says it best for me: ‘Stay with God! Take heart. Don’t quit. I’ll say it again: Stay with God.’”
- Rev. P. Elliott Renfroe, Dean of Students & Chief Diversity Officer

We see it as our responsibility to show our students how to live with one another in a community, learn from one another with diverse perspectives, and have fun while doing it - shaping them to be active members in the communities they serve around the world.”

“We tell children all the time that they can be whatever they want when they grow up. Somewhere along the way students lose that belief, and it is often attributed to how “smart” we may feel. Reality is that it is not about how smart we are, but what resources are available to us. We want students to re-engage in those dreams, help students frame their goals, and equip them with the necessary resources.”
- Isaac Barber, Assistant Vice President Student Development
