Teresa Jones, Executive Director, Habitat for Humanity of Walton County said, “Our area is suffering from an affordability issue, but for women especially, those who serve as the head of their families, they face obstacles that make accessing decent affordable housing seem impossible.” To address these needs, on February 10, Habitat for Humanity of Walton County held their 5th Annual Hard Hats & High Heels luncheon. Hosted by the Hilton Sandestin Beach Golf Resort & Spa, Presenting Sponsor Vacasa, and Founding Sponsor The Merchants of Rosemary Beach, brought a sold-out crowd together to raise funds to support Habitat’s vision that everyone needs a decent place to live.

“We are so grateful for our generous sponsors, donors, and women that show up to support Habitat and our mission,” said Teresa. “This has become a sellout event year after year, and we are thrilled to host an event that is loved by so many women in our community and helps them build strength, stability and self-reliance.” And with raffles, games, and a silent auction, thousands of dollars were raised to assist families build safe and affordable places to call their own.
