(

Room)

Many schools require their student leaders to organise various kinds of meetings. Often it is a challenge for student leaders to make their meetings enjoyable, productive and purposeful. This session equips students leaders with practical tools and techniques for making the most of the meetings they organise. Elective Session #1 (choose one) How to Make Your Speeches Dynamic

(

Room)

Student leaders regularly speak at assemblies, classes and special events. The challenge that many student leaders face is delivering a speech in a way that communicates more than just basic details. This practical workshop will discuss numerous ways to deliver speeches that are informative, inspirational and move the audience to respond in the desired way. How to Make Your Events Dynamic

(

Room)

Many student leaders often have great ideas for events, but need additional suggestions to help these events reach their potential. By discussing examples from many different schools, this practical workshop helps to transform an idea into an event that exceeds expectations in all areas. Elective Session #2 (choose one) How to Motivate Others

(

Room)

When student leaders run events, projects and campaigns there is always the desire that the majority of the student body will become involved. Unfortunately it is common for leaders to find that their peers are not always as supportive as they had hoped. This workshop provides a number of practical strategies for student leaders to implement in order to increase the student participation and enthusiasm in their various initiatives. How to Say Bye Bye to Bullying

(

Room)

The unfortunate reality is that different forms of bullying exist in many schools. Whilst significant focus is often placed on preparing victims to suitably respond to such cases, there is much that student leaders can do collectively to eliminate bullying on behalf of their peers. This practical workshop will help student leadership teams to implement a student driven campaign to say ‘Bye Bye Bullying’.

What ideas do you have for adding your own touch to the perpetual activity/s you listed above? What idea do you have for a single pinnacle project? This should be something that others have perhaps not thought of or not been successful at, and should contribute something remarkable to the school. (This could be an event, but it certainly does not have to be. It may be an improvement to something about your school, or a change to an aspect of the school culture.) _______________________________________________________________________________________ _______________________________________________________________________________________ _______________________________________________________________________________________
