What made you decide to quit your job at a pharmaceutical company and start a new profession in the digital world?

I knew that I would be pushed out of my role as a manager as that suited my skills and could satisfy the current market needs. Do you have any advice you would like to give to those who want to change their life after 40?

Always have a well-thought-out plan B and build your skills so that they match with what the market requires.

What inspired you to write a book and tell your story? Do you think it could be of help to someone?

I wanted to help other women to make the same choices I made by providing both my experience and some useful tools to create personal branding. The book does not just contain tips to keep in good shape after forty, but also advice on how to seek viable alternatives to a job that we do not like anymore or that we have lost. There are also many useful exercises to put into practice what you learn as you read the book.

An item that everyone should absolutely add to their wardrobe this winter?

A long-colourful leather coat, purple would be ideal.

What is your favourite café in town?

Unfortunately, many old bars in the centre of Rome where I loved going for breakfast have closed down. Today my favourite is the Sant’Eustachio!

Un consiglio che si sente di dare a chi vuole cambiare prospettiva dopo i 40 anni?

Avere un solido piano B costruito nel tempo, incrociando le proprie competenze con quello che il mercato richiede.

Come è nata la scelta di raccontare la sua storia in un libro? Pensa che possa essere di aiuto?

Come esigenza di aiutare altre donne a fare il mio stesso percorso fornendo sia la mia esperienza che alcuni strumenti utili per fare personal branding. Nel libro non ci sono solo consigli per rimettersi in pista dopo i quarant›anni da un punto di vista , ma anche per trovare un’alternativa valida a un lavoro che non ci piace più o che abbiamo perso. Ci sono anche tanti esercizi utili per mettere in pratica quello che si apprende attraverso la lettura del libro.

Un capo assolutamente da avere nell’armadio questo inverno?

Un bel cappotto lungo in pelle colorata, viola sarebbe il top.

Il suo caffè preferito in città?

Purtroppo, si sono persi molti bar storici nel centro di Roma dove amavo fare colazione, oggi il mio preferito è al Sant’Eustachio!
