On behalf of the organising committee, we are delighted to invite you to participate in the Africa Mining Summit which will take place on 11th-12th October 2017 in Gaborone, Botswana. The event is co-hosted by the African Union Commission and the Ministry of Mineral Resources, Green Technology and Energy Security (MMGE), Botswana and organized by GRV Global Ltd, United Kingdom.

/ Introduction The Africa Mining Summit (AMS) is a pan African event that for four years, has played a pivotal role in shaping a sustainable growth path for the development of Africa’s mining sector. This year will see AMS move to Gaborone in Botswana, a favourable geologic environment with low tax rates, political stability and considered a foreign mineral investment magnet.

The Africa Mining Summit offers a more intimate way of gaining new opportunities and customers from that of the ‘Big’ Indaba’s, exhibitions and conferences. AMS enables more networking and face time, dedicated refreshment and exhibiting zones, a gala dinner and pre-scheduled match making meetings using the latest ‘meeting’ software’. Those that attended previous years agree that this is now their preferred deal making platform for mining opportunities in Africa. The event brings together suppliers who are looking to sell to the mining corporates, mining corporates who seek investment, investors who want to strike deals with government and government ministers who engage all groups to discuss new opportunities in their countries.

/ Charity golf tournament You can enjoy a unique golf experience at the only 18 Hole Championship Golf Course in Botswana, situated at the same venue as the Africa Mining Summit. Tournament players and hackers alike can look forward to an exciting day of golf, enjoying breathtaking views and wildlife, refreshments and socializing. All proceeds will go to a local charity which will be announced shortly.

Friday 13th October 2017 Tee time: 10:00 Phakalane Golf Estate Hotel Resort Golf package includes: / Welcome station with refreshments and half-way meal. / Africa Mining Summit Commemorative Golf Caps. / Shared golf buggies. / Contests and prize giveaways. / Exceptional locker room facilities. Pricing and options / Option 1: Individual Golf Package Fee: $150 per Person. / Option 2: Four Ball Group Package Fee: $400 GBP per Group.

This is a wonderful course not only for the golf purist looking to plot their ‘risk reward’ holes or the plan of attack to the devilishly guarded greens, but also for those looking to loosen their shoulders and have a nice stroll taking in the stunning wildlife and scenery. The course consists of 15 Dams, 75 Bunkers and the average size of the Greens is 700m2. There are 3 permanent ablution facilities as well as a driving range. For those much like the GRV Global team who are never likely to feature on the winners list (though watch out for our conference producer Ian) there is much to enjoy. Monitor lizards tend to lounge near the water’s edge and the 400 or so different species of birds and the occasional elephant sighting might slow you down a little, but avoid the warthogs!

If you are interested in sponsoring the charity golf tournament, please notify a member of our sales team. Note: Rental of golf clubs are not included in the package fee and are facilitated with the Phakalane Golf Estate Hotel Resort, though we recommend bringing your own. If required, golf clubs can be rented and paid directly to the Pro Shop. Please arrange rentals in advance of the golf day. There are limited number of spaces available for this tournament. Confirmation of space will be reserved on a firstcome-first serve basis.
