Beginner Caving

Explore the history and mythology of Giboney Cave by taking a guided tour. Learn about caving and experience a hidden world! Participants will need to bring a water bottle and a headlamp, or flashlight if you have one. Please wear closed toed shoes that can get muddy. This program is one hour long. Walk, crawl, and slide your way through Junction and Cricket Hole

Caves! The morning will be full of muddy fun as you explore this caving adventure. This program does require crawling in tight spaces and requires participants to wear closed-toed shoes, clothes that can get muddy, and recommend bringing knee pads. Girls will receive a cave patch. This program is two hours long. Please select your session time when registering.

Free Bat Flight Program

Attending either caving program? Participate in a free bat flight program the evening of April 1. Join your caving guide at sunset to watch the bats take flight for the night! Your caving guide will talk about bat ecology as you wait for sunset. This program is free. Information on the program will be provided in your confirmation letter.

Need a place to spend the night? Consider reserving space at Finbrooke Program Center, weather permitting.

April is for Girl Scouts at the Titanic

The Titanic has a very special anniversary in April for Girl Scouts. 1912—the year Girl Scouts was founded—is also the year the Titanic set sail! Celebrate history and go on a tour of the Discovery Aboard Titanic exhibition in April. Children four years and under receive free admission. Bookings other than April will receive Group Leader pricing. Reserve your troop or family’s tour aboard Titanic by calling 800-381-7670. Reservations are required, space is limited.

You Are My Pal-Paca

Grab your pal and head on out to Curly Eye Farm for a day of felting, friendship, and fun! Show your friend what it means to be a Girl Scout on this epic alpaca adventure. Leave with your own felting creation and a Girl Scout SWAP. Normally $17 per girl, you and your friend can come for just $27! Price includes program facilitators, felting workshop, SWAP, supplies, and a fun patch.

3D Printing and Robotics Workshop

Calling all makers! Our friends at LabSpace Robotics invite you to explore the world of 3D Printing and Robotics—wire a circuit light, build a toothbrush robot to take home, work to build and program a Lego Mindstorms robot, and then 3D print your own key chain or backpack tag. Cadettes will earn their Robotics 1 Badge. Juniors will complete all steps for their Robotics 1 Badge (except a kit will be sent home to complete step 1). Price includes workshops, facilitators, supplies, fun patches and Robotics Badges. Bring a sack lunch or money to purchase food at the food court. Please note–this is a drop off event. Friday Night Fairies

Enter the enchanted world of Fairies with our friends at Rooted Sisters! Learn about the various environments that Fairies call home, discuss the importance of “leave no trace,” learn how to do your part to preserve your own environments, and even create a terrarium home fit for a fairy! Daisies will work toward their Eco Learner Badge. Brownies will work toward their Eco Friend Badge. Adults can observe for free but will need to register to participate in the activities.

Troop Camping Girls vs. Wild

Can your troop survive the wild? Join us for this two-day, one night adventure to learn survival skills, cook over a campfire, and camp out with your troop. Outdoor Training

Are you ready to go on camping trips with your troop but don’t know how to start? Gain insight and information at our overnight outdoor training. Whether you are a beginner or a seasoned camper, this is a great way to involve your troop to prepare for camping adventures, or just come on your own. For older girls and adults, this overnight will allow you to complete your Outdoor Level 2 and 3 training. Topics include tent use and care, campsite selection, outdoor cooking with a skillet and fuel stove, knot-tying, and the Leave No Trace principles. Participants will be sleeping in tents.

All Paws on Deck!

Join us at Safe Harbor Animal Sanctuary to give back to the community and support animals! Girls will take a tour of the facilities and experience what it is like to work at the animal shelter. Girls will then make their own animal ears, read fairy tales to cats, decorate animal treats, and create toys for the shelter animals. This community service program opportunity will surely get tails wagging! Price includes activity supplies, a fun patch, volunteer bandanna, and a donation to Safe Harbor Animal Sanctuary.

Rock Climbing Excursion

Overnight

On belay—it’s time to rock climb! Meet us at Dan Kinney Family Center and we’ll head down to Horseshoe Canyon Ranch for a weekend of rock climbing! Learn basics about rock climbing equipment, belaying, and climbing. Then, get the chance to climb both days. We will be camping on site and cooking our meals over the campfire. A full packing list will be emailed with the confirmation letter. Transportation to the ranch is provided. Girls will need to bring a sack lunch for Saturday. On Saturday, dinner will be provided. On Sunday—breakfast, lunch, and an afternoon snack will be provided. All grade levels will work towards the Climbing Adventure badge. Please note—this is a girl only event.

Take a weekend trip dedicated to you! Our friends at The Wellness Collective want to empower you to put yourself first. Girls will learn the importance of self-care and spend time learning all about wellness from female health professionals. Girls will be able to take a yoga class, make a healthy meal, practice meditation, learn about essential oils and so much more. Girls should leave this weekend with an understanding of the importance of self-care, wellness, nutrition and the benefits that come from investing in their own mind, body, and spirit. Night of Wonder

Join us for the first ever overnight at the WonderWorks Museum in Branson! WonderWorks is an amusement park for the mind with 48,000 square feet of educational entertainment or “edu-tainment” with over 100 hands on, interactive exhibits that challenge the mind and spark the imagination. Girl Scouts Play It Safe

Our friends at the Boone County Sheriff’s Office want to teach Girl Scouts how to play it safe and make the world a better place! In this two–day event, learn about general safety, out and about safety, and defense against abduction. Then receive instruction on stranger tricks, good-baduncomfortable touch, and self-realization of personal power. Girls can be strong in the face of trouble, and this program will help empower them with knowledge for any possible situation. Girl Scouts will end the program by putting the skills they learned to the test in a dynamic simulation. Girls will need to provide a sack lunch for both days. Price includes snacks and a fun patch. This is not an overnight event, lodging is not provided.

Outdoor Family Adventure

Enjoy a family bonding adventure! At these two-day, one night family camping opportunities, girls and families will have a chance to spend time creating lasting memories while participating in camp activities like team building games, art projects, archery, cooking over a fire, and more. At each session, girls and their families will check in around 9:00 a.m. on Saturday and check out at 11:00 a.m. on Sunday. Dinner on Saturday and breakfast on Sunday will be provided. Participants will need to bring a sack lunch for Saturday. Activities will be best suited for ages 5 and up, but children as young as 3 are welcome to attend. Price includes facilitated activities, supplies, two meals, and patches for every participant. Siblings are invited as tagalongs to join for a taste of outdoor family adventure!

Girl Scouts, goats, and yoga? Yes please! Girls will be accompanied by goats as they practice easy and fun yoga poses with a certified yoga instructor.
