Who Can Attend Experiences

• Girls must be registered members who meet the Girl Scout grade-level recommendations for the event. Any girl in grades K-12, who is not a currently registered Girl Scout, may register as a member to attend events and activities.

• Troop Leaders or other registered adults are required to attend events with troops and are responsible for ensuring the safety of the girls and maintain ratio unless otherwise noted.

• Unless otherwise noted, Girl Scouts can attend most council events without a troop. Adults must chaperone and be responsible for their girls at an event. All overnights require adults to be approved volunteers which requires active membership and background check.

• For Families, there are certain events that guardians and siblings can also join the fun! Family events will be noted in the description.

Community Partner Sponsored Experiences

These events are hosted by amazing community partners, who focus activities on the Girl Scout program. Troop Leaders or other approved adults are required to attend events with their Girl Scouts and are responsible for ensuring the safety of the girls. Community partner facilitators are never counted in ratio for the girls. Some community partnerships manage their own registration, and in these situations the contact information is on the community sponsored event listing.

Health and Safety

We do require every participant to have a parent/guardian permission slip and a health history form unless otherwise directed in their confirmation. Please see our website girlscoutsmoheartland.org and access these documents in our forms section, found on the top of the web page. These forms are the responsibility of the Troop Leader or other approved adult unless the event is an overnight, then the health history form is turned into the Specialist at check in. If the event is only for girls, then both the permission slip and health history form will be given to the Specialist at check in.
