The training resources you’ll find here make it easier to keep your troop running smoothly and stay safe. Many of these training opportunities are available to our older girls as well! Girl–led takes on a whole new meaning when we empower girls with the knowledge to plan a camping excursion or how to react quickly in an emergency situation!
Outdoor Training
MIN/MAX: 10/20 $30 • PARTICIPANT
Are you ready to go on camping trips with your troop but don’t know how to start? Learn how! Whether you are a beginner or a seasoned camper, this training will prepare you for future outdoor adventures. Cadettes, Seniors, Ambassadors and Adults can involve your troop or come on your own, this overnight session will allow you to complete your Outdoor Level 2 & 3 training. Topics include tent use and care, campsite selection, outdoor cooking with a skillet and fuel stove, knot-tying, and the Leave No Trace principles. Participants will be sleeping in tents and will receive the prework via email immediately after the registration deadline. Please note— this is not a drop off event.

A First Aid/CPR certified volunteer is required to be present when the Girl Scout troop is meeting outside of their regular meeting location and is highly recommended to be present at all troop meetings. Short & Snappy: Bronze and Silver Awards

Are your girls ready to start their Bronze or Silver Award projects? If so, this short and snappy training is perfect for you! Volunteers, parents, and advisors will dive into the requirements for the Bronze Award, talk about the difference between a take action project and a community service project, and examine past Bronze Awards and what made them a success. Then, we’ll talk about the Silver Award and the necessary requirements for that achievement. We’ll wrap up the hour with some helpful tips to set your girls up for success and make their projects girl-led! Participants will receive training details via email immediately after the registration deadline.

First Aid & CPR - Blended Learning
MIN/MAX: 6/12
This is a blended learning First Aid and CPR certification course. The first half must be completed online prior to the in-person skills portion. Participants will receive online course work and log in information immediately after the registration deadline. Upon successful completion of this training, participants will receive a valid two-year American Red Cross digital certificate that is OSHA compliant and meets other workplace and regulatory requirements.

Babysitting and First Aid & CPR
$25 • BABYSITTING $40 • FIRST AID/CPR
This overnight training will prepare girls to become one of the most capable, trusted, and in-demand babysitters in the neighborhood! It’ll help girls provide quality care to children of all ages, covering topics such as choosing age-appropriate activities, basic childcare, professionalism, and safety. Additionally, with the First Aid and CPR training, girls will receive a valid two-year American Red Cross digital certificate that is OSHA compliant and meets other workplace and regulatory requirements. Girls can elect to only participate in the Babysitting training on Saturday, October 14. Girls can also elect to participate in the Babysitting Training and stay overnight, but leave Sunday morning. Adults are welcome to attend the First Aid & CPR Training.
