PROS AND CONS
Athletics Academy In Fsu there is an academy for athletics. The academy has some advantages and some disadvantages.
For example the advantages. Firstly if you are in the academy you get a lot of work out, there is practice four times a week. Secondly if you are in the academy you can register to be in academy food witch is very good and is cooked on the spot with many fresh fruits and healthy snacks, like the practices it is only four times a week. The facilities are amazing, we have an athletics
400m field, gym with Olympic lifting platforms and a new sports hall. Last but not least there is a clothing line connected to the academy so you get a jacked and trousers for the academy. However like most things it also
you are in academy food you also have to pay for that witch is a lot. You can get hurt during practice and that can have major influence on how you do at school.
Overall the pros easily go over the cons. It is very good to have an academy for your sport in your school, not every school has that. B.Ă“
has disadvantages. For example the practises cost money. It costs to be able to train in the facility and it costs to have a coach. If

Charity week Every year there is one week of charity days. It started in 2012 when Fsu wanted to help young children from Africa. In October there is one week of charity it goes like this. Students can put a challenge on other students to do something. For example a student can challenge another student to shave his hair off and then he bets some money on it. Other students can bet more money below the status and then it collects to a big amount of cash. If the student does the challenge then all the money that was placed under goes to a pot and all the money that is collected goes to a small village in Nigeria, Africa. Last year the school collected just about half a million in cash. This year there are more than 80 challenges and the challenge that has the most cash betted is that the schoolmaster should shave her hair off, it has over 160 thousand kr betted on the challenge. If the person refuses the challenge then the money won’t go anywhere so you better do the challenge or you are a bad person. This is a fantastic cause for hungry children in Africa.
Fsu is working with a few more charity companies like RauĂ°i krossinn and SOS. B.Ă“

Difference between schools and education in Iceland and Sweden. Good education is important for a steady and a good future. In high school you have to have a lot of responsibility and to pass the classes you need to have ambition. It’s kind of a shock when you go from Elementary school up to high school. Elementary school is a lot easier because most of the time you do assignments in class and sometimes you get homework. But in high school you are given the assignments often at the same time from a couple of different subjects with short deadlines and expected to work at home. Of course it can be hard in elementary school but its really is not compared to high school.
In high schools in Iceland there are a couple of alternatives you can choose from. In most high schools in Iceland you can mostly choose from general studies, social science, natural science or language subjects. Fsu has more to offer than a lot of schools. There are more alternatives like sport academies, apprenticeships and horsemanship. Although there are couple of more schools that offer alternatives like that and more. If you have something
you are interested in that is taught in high schools here, you can graduate with that degree and likely get a job in your interest. In high schools in Sweden, called Gymnasium, there are so many alternatives in every high school that is has to offer something that fits almost every student. When you graduate in Sweden you are very likely to have a job and many students even get the job in their interest before they graduate. Many schools have connections and offer their students jobs both in Sweden and abroad. Also the tuition is free for international students for those who live in EU/EEA/Nordic or Switzerland. If you are between the age of 16-20 you get paid 1050 swedish kr/187 dollars monthly for attending school. When you live in another area from your school it will pay your transportation fees. Swedish schools are also known for their free food and often they are sponsored by a restaurant so the students get a free meal.
Iceland has a poor school system according to many and does not have a lot to offer really. School can be expensive depending on what you are learning and some people simply don’t have the money to pay for their tuition so they can’t learn what they want to.
The Gymnasium in Sweden can be expensive if you are not qualified for a free tuition and often the school you want to go to in is in another area, and it can be really annoying to travel by a car/tram/bus every morning to school. In most situations the money you get monthly from the school will go into your legal guardian’s bank account, but according to some Swedish students most parents always give the money straight to them.
Each school system has it pros and cons, and in most situations the pros overtake the cons. Good education is important and it is really important to feel good and secure in your school and have interest what you’re learning because if you do not, you have a good chance of not passing the courses and lack of ambition will cause that. So remember to pick a good school that has the courses you want to learn and are interested in, don’t just go to that school because your friends are going there.

Breaking Bad. Since the start of school I’ve been watching a tv-show called “breaking bad” this show is one to remember. The show is about a chemistry teacher diagnosed with terminal lung cancer teams up with his former student to cook and sell crystal meth. The story mostly takes place at the main characters house but goes from a carwash to a desert, the show takes many twists and turns that you wouldn’t expect and can go from cool to crazy in a snap, the main character gets into a lot of trouble and uses his friends and family to get out of trouble. New characters were introduced in the series , which was an enjoyable aspect and added a new element of intrigue to breaking bad, how no other show possessed. Furthermore, this series seemed to follow a new perspective, following a character through it´s run, Also this series was a good length: not excessively long but long enough to tell the story. Another great aspect of the film was the story, particularly with regard to all the

set ups to character development. This series is very much based around family, like a scene where the main character and his wife make up a false story to get away with the crimes that the main character has commited, this show was so much fun to watch, had me on the edge of my seat almost all the time, and the story kept me coming every day. Overall, this was, in my opinion, the best show on tv through 2008-2013 and portrays the fantastical story of criminals and the world of crime extremely well. With the addition of twists, the fast-paced nature of the show, and the added family aspects, this show was truly a great one. B.E.J

Winter/fall Fashion 24.october is the first day of winter and in the winter people just take out their timberland shoes and but don't even try to get creative with their outfits, like 66°N coats, levi's trousers and a cotton t-shirts aren't going to cut it. But they could wear wool sweaters and sweat pants and denim jeans, rugged, warm and “always in style” look but in other news the fall/winter 2015-2016 fashion shows are officially over, having taken us from New York to London, Milan to Paris, in that order. We saw some of the most magnificent pieces displayed on the runway, along with some of the craziest styles. The color palettes as presented, often a little too dark but nonetheless generally perfectly chic in designs and color combinations. In the winter people as you know start to dress in dark colors/colours, some people like that and that’s fine but it would be really nice to see people dressing in more colorful clothes during the winter/fall period, also for men, there is a certain style that seems to be in style, a scarf, beard, a gray or black coat, also in skinny jeans or ripped denim jeans with boots or slip on shoes. Halloween We are all familiar with the sentence ‘’Trick or Treat’’ when little kids in costumes shout it as they hold a bag outside your doorstep that’s full of all kinds of candy. Halloween is celebrated in evening of 31 of October, which occurs to be the evening before the Christian celebration of all saints day. Halloween history goes way back to the ancient religion of the Celtic tribes. The Celts believed in the spirit world and worshipped nature. They believed that at the end of the summer the lord of death became more powerful and on October 31 the lord of death allowed all the evil spirits that had died the year before to come back to visit the living. People tried to appease goblins and demons by offering food and nuts to satisfy the hunger of those demons. If the demon was satisfied with the treat it wouldn’t trick the person or put an evil spell.
People also wore a mask to blacken there faces to try and pass unseen by the spirits. It was believed the ghosts or spirits could not see their own reflection, they would run away in terror. Today Halloween is a festival for kids and an occasion to dress up and since the 1960’s a lot of crimes have been committed on Halloween.
