Chapter 1 The New Life I opened my eyes. I wanted to speak, but I couldn’t. My throat was completely dried out. My eyes slowly grew accustomed to the light. Then I found myself in a hospital, lying in bed, with my sister and other people around me. “Who are they?” I asked. “Who? What are you talking about? You and I are the only ones in this room.” my sister looked around and answered.
5
I spent few seconds to realize the fact that these people were invisible for my sister. I was too astonished to speak. I could just see my sister crying and the doctor getting in to check my condition. Then I lost consciousness again.

Chapter 2 Sunny I am Sunny. I have been unemployed for a long time after the serious car accident. My parents passed away many years ago. My sister is a hardworking teacher in an elementary school. However, I can’t find any job because I am unqualified. The reason is that people see me as a lunatic. The first time when I went to a job interview, I saw a man who was pale and had lots of bleeding wound standing right next to the manager. I could not help burst 7
out screaming and rushed out of the company. The same event has happened again and again, so I eventually gave up on the idea of getting a job. What I do every day is to stay at home waiting for my clients and help them to fulfill their last wishes.

Chapter 3 A Special Guest Another guest is now sitting next to me. She is an old lady
wearing
Hanbok
(Korean traditional dress). She has been here in my house for almost 3 days. “Grandma, is there anything I can help you?
 I ask.
Then the old lady suddenly stands up and walks out of my room slowly. I follow her to a house. The family is holding a funeral 9
ceremony. The figure in the picture and the old lady looks exactly the same. Her son and daughter are arguing about the inheritance. The old lady looks very disappointed after seeing her own children fighting for money. I have to help this poor lady. She asks me to stop them and tell them her last will and testament. “I see, I reply. I tell them the old lady’s last will. Finally, they stop arguing and burst into tears. The old lady is now ready to
10
leave. She smiles at me and turns into a beam of light.
11
Chapter 4 A Little Boy and A Man A little boy has visited me several times recently. I can’t sleep for almost 2 days because of him. His face is mutilated beyond recognition. He is helpless. I know that I have to help him, but I am too scared to look at him. He does nothing but sits next to the door and cries. I try to talk to the little boy but fail to communicate with him every time. The situation does not get better.

People like to go jogging along Han River, a beautiful river lined with pedestrian walkways, bicycle paths and public parks, and it is famous for its wonderful nightscape. Unfortunately, I have no opportunity to admire those beautiful
13
scenes. I don’t go out at night. I don’t like to go swimming and I don’t go jogging along Han River because I have seen ghosts died from drowning waiting to catch people under the water, and I was once their target.
However, I decide to
go there tomorrow because the boy mentioned the
place
when he was
whispering last night. ( along Han River) I confirm the fact that a lot of people died from drowning now because they are 14
everywhere. Suddenly, one of them tries to grab my feet. I may not be so lucky this time. When I am ready to fall into the river, a man holds my hand and pulls me up. The moment when he touches me, they disappear! I am too surprised to say a word. I look up and he is shocked by my weird facial expression. Not waiting me for offering thanks, he keeps jogging. How could this be possible? Why do they vanish when he touches me? 15
Chapter 5 My Savior He is my savior. When I try to catch up with him, I see a woman distributing flyers. The little boy stands right behind her! She looks very worried and anxious. I take one of the flyers.
It
is
a
missing
people
announcement. The boy’s picture is on there. His name was Daniel. I need to do some further investigation. Then I find out that my savior’s cellphone is left on the road, so I pick it up and wait for his call. 16
The next day, I receive his call and we decide to meet at the coffee shop.
(in the coffee shop) “Thank you so much for your help. If you didn’t pull me up, I would die then. I think I should know my savior’s name. ” I said.
17
“I am Aaron. You’re welcome. But the way how you fall into the river looks strange.” “I know, but if I tell you the truth, you will think I am insane.” “Then just tell me. Maybe I WON’T think so.” “I can see ghosts. A ghost was trying to kill me. The most important thing is that you can make them disappear.”
18
“That’s impossible and ridiculous! I don’t believe in both God and ghosts” replied the man. I know I am seen as a crazy woman again. I need to figure the mystery out without the disturbance from those things. I need him. “I can prove it. Can you see a man keep walking in and out of the coffee shop?” I 19
ask. “NO, but the automatic door keeps opening and closing again and again.” Aaron replied. “Now do you believe that I can see those you can’t?” “Well, ok. So what do you need from me? ” “What I need is your body.” I said. We discuss about the little boy and his mother. I tell him my opinion. The boy must have been murdered! Aaron agrees 20
to stay with me when investigating in order to keep them away from me. Chapter 6 The End of Investigation The next day, I call Aaron, but he does not answer the phone. I follow Daniel alone. It seems that he is trying to lead me to an intersection. There is bloodstain on the road. It means that he was killed here! Then he goes to a disused factory. There is no one in the factory. I see a car with bloodstain. That must be the assassin‘s car.
21
Suddenly, someone hits my head and I faint.
When I open my eyes, I can’t speak and move because I am bound and a piece of rubber tape is stuck on my mouth. The little boy is crying and calling for help. Unfortunately, no one can hear him except me. Where is my cellphone? I have to call Aaron. At the same time, the assassin enters the factory with a sharp knife.
22
I am going to be killed today because I know everything now. I close my eyes and wait for the pain. Suddenly, someone holds me. It’s Aaron! He is bleeding, and the assassin trying to escape, but Aaron has already called the police. Then the assassin is arrested. Daniel turns out to be my sister’s student in her class. That was the reason why Daniel came to visit me. Daniel was killed in the car accident. The driver was too
23
scared to call the police. Poor Daniel’s body was found in the mountain. Three weeks has passed, but Aaron is still unconscious. Daniel’s mother has come and thanked us. Everything is OK except Aaron. I must have been crazy to investigate alone. If I have been more careful, no one would be hurt. I should not have followed Daniel. Maybe I should not even have helped Daniel. These are my fault. All my sensations, feelings, and
24
memories are driving me crazy. I cannot think. My mind is in a complete turmoil. All of a sudden, I hear Aaron’s voice. “Hey! Stop blaming yourself! You did a great job! ” I burst into tears and hold Aaron tightly. Now I know that I am no longer unemployed. Everything is good for something. I know how it feels when no one can understand you. I can imagine the desperate when no one can help you. Thus,
25
my job is to help those who are in need whether they are people or not. …………...….....The End…..…....…..….

I see. Sunny sees things others can’t see after a serious car accident. She can’t get a job due to the fear of seeing ghosts. Strange to say, she can’t avoid their constant disturbance even staying at home, so she has no choice but helps “them” complete their last wishes and accepts their requests. The situation goes out of control when she meets a boy called Daniel and she is putting herself in danger…
