The chief is telling why the ancestry had wanted to recapture the hometown which has belonged to them for dozens of years.) This story happened in 19th. Montblanc Noland was known as the

9

greatest explorer in his country. He always tells his exciting and dangerous adventure story. All of the children adored him very much, hope to be a hero like him in the future. One day, the king appointed Noland to discover and propagate the national prestige. Unfortunately, they met the rainstorm once, so their ship was seriously destroyed. His sailor was

10

tired, thirsty, and no food to eat. They had been floating for many days. Nevertheless, Noland still did not give up seeking for the help. Suddenly, a beautiful melody came from the far. They did not know how to describe the beauty of this song. They felt as though seeing the hope from the hopelessness. Then they followed the direction, tried to find

11

the source of melody. There must be the great civilization somewhere. They yelled and shouted; hoped to find that place to have a rest.

12

Chapter 2 Finally, they reached after many hours. There was the place that is called The Golden Hometown which is full of golden temple, golden road and the golden ring. The villagers live in the original life. The men use the spear to go hunting, and women do the household for the children and men. The chief of the village, Carl 13

Graham is called the greatest warrior. He is brave and militant. He had protected the village from every danger for many years. Unfortunately, the lethal epidemic infected the village; many villagers were died of this disaster. Then, Graham planned to sacrifice his daughter as the victim to God to save the village from this danger.

14

Chapter 3 It was the antique and sacred ceremony that everyone who is chosen must sacrifice to God. Otherwise, the entire village would be cursed by God. Noland was also watching this ceremony then. He rapidly pulled out his sword and shot it to the priest. The priest is died, and the ceremony was forced to stop. All 15

the villagers were frightened, and Graham was offended by Noland's rude behavior. They had a fight but on a par. Noland thought oblation is not the only way to solve the problem, but a foolish superstition. The medical science is much more progressive now than before; but the villagers still have traditional ideas. He promised Graham that he would

16

find the way to cure the epidemic.

17

Chapter 4 Noland's sailor would be poisoned until Noland can overcome this catastrophe. Noland is not only a good captain but also a great doctor. He is proficient in medical herbs. Noland tried to find the medicinal herbs for curing epidemic throughout the forest. He did not intend to give up because he was quite confident 18

that he would find the correct antidote. Finally, he found it and made the medicine to the patient. All the villagers were cured before long. Then they held a campfire party to appreciate Noland for his grand contribution. Next, Noland was eager to know where the melody came from while he was sailing on the sea.

19

Chapter 5 Graham was so grateful to Noland for all that he had done. Graham instructed the villagers to give the gold as the present to Noland. They soon became the best friend. They drank wine and laughed to their heart's content. Furthermore, Graham was planned to married his daughter to Noland, but he had 20

already had a family. They shared worry and dream together. One day, Graham leaded Noland to the golden ring that the villagers seem it as the spirit of The Golden Hometown. It was so sacred and significant that the villagers have been protected for many years. He realized that the golden ring before his eye was the ring he was finding while the sound

21

was coming out. However, an unintentional mistake made them broken up.

22

Chapter 6 Following day to day, Graham found out that Noland keep cutting down the trees of the forest. The villagers bury their parents under the tree, so they could get the peace afterlife. However, Noland discovered that this tradition is the main cause of the epidemic. He was ready to carry these trees for 23

researching. Noland tried to negotiate with Graham, but he did not even want to accept Noland's explanation. Noland was dismayed and frustrated, so he planned to leave this place in one night. He told his sailors to put down everything the villagers gave them, not reluctant to leave.

24

Chapter 7 However, Graham's daughter was doubt that Noland was tending to destroy the forest. She spent the whole night to reach the Noland's tents, and then the doctor of the ship told her the entire plan. Their original intention was to research all the trees and cut down the sick ones, but not to cause trouble for the villagers. After 25

hearing the truth, she was startled, wanted to tell the truth to his father. Soon, Noland packaged everything and started to leave, although the sailors did not want. They thought they had the unforgettable memories here if this misunderstanding did not happen.

26

Chapter 8 Graham blamed himself when hearing the truth. Then he tried to run fast to catch up on Noland. Finally, he reached the coastline, but Noland was already left away lots of foots. Graham tried to yell to let Noland hear. He said that he would still ring the bell every day if Noland lost the direction on the sea again and the 27

golden ring will be his lead to The Golden Hometown. Noland could not stop shedding tears, he blamed himself that he did not communicate and inform Graham his true intention as priority. He promised himself that he would certainly come back someday.

28

Chapter 9 Noland came back to his country and told everything he met in The Golden Hometown. He planned to bring his king to the most beautiful place that he ever seen. Graham was also looking forward to meeting Noland again. He was working hard and preparing the big banquet when Noland come next time. He rings the 29

bell as usual. Until one-day, the volcano under The Golden Hometown erupted; the isle was raised straightly up to the sky and never falls down.

30

Chapter 10 The isle soon appeared in the sky instead of the sea. When Noland brought the king here, he tried to find The Golden Hometown but nothing. The king denounced Noland as a liar. Noland did not know how to explain this situation. He also worried about Noland's safety and The Golden Hometown. He was poisoned and 31

ready to be executed on the square. All his sailors are also forced to exile to other countries. On the other side, Graham and the villagers felt painful because of the thin air. They have no strength to against the enemy from the Sky. Graham and the other warriors died in the massacre, and then the alien tribe soon dominated the whole village. Both them were not

32

sure whether the opposite side is alive or not.

33

Chapter 11 Afterwards, Noland was called bouncer. Many people in the country falsely create the storyNoland, big liar. They all incriminated Noland for his vicious goal to obtain the king's appreciation. No one try to discover the existence of The Golden Hometown. On the other side, in order to commemorate the death of 34

Graham, they made the stone carving of him. Let the offspring know that there was a great warrior protected the village from every destruction before. As time passes, the villagers still remember their legendary hero’s unfulfilled wish. They desperately want to protect the village of Zoldyck and recapture the golden ring. They

35

have always hoped to ring it again but the sound will never reach Noland’s ear‌.
