In this two-class seminar, José Manuel Ballester will embark on a communication game, offering interpretations of selected works from the exhibition Masterpieces from the Kunsthalle Bremen: from Delacroix to Beckmann based on dialogues between the characters and objects in them. A red house, a gust of wind, a girl waking up, a saxophone… How would you interpret them? What dialogues do they inspire? The seminar combines personal observation with group communication. This could be a first time at the theater for the little ones, courtesy of the theater company Ponten Pie. Loo is a little girl, named after the strong and hot summer wind which blows over the western Indo-Gangetic Plain region of North India and Pakistan. The play shows the effects of human behavior on the environment, and it does so using delightful, minimalist sets, emphasis on the senses, no text and elegant light and sound effects.
