ADMISSION AND REGISTRATION FOR 1ST-YEAR UNDERGRADUATE STUDENTS

- No documents require to be submitted by Upper Secondary Education students who are taking the university admission test (PAU) in the Valencia region this year, those who took these exams in 2012 or subsequent years; students in the Valencia region exempted from taking this year’s PAU (these students must have obtained the relevant accreditation for this 2017 PAU exemption). If you are a high-performance athlete or a student with functional disability, you must upload a scanned proof of this to the relevant section of the website. For students to enter the electronic system, they must be identified with their ID, Foreing Resident Identification Number (NIE) or passport number and with the password given to them on the first day of the admission test, or the one given to students exempted from taking the admission test (PAU 2017). - Students from upper vocational education (holders of an advanced vocational education technician certificate, advanced sports technician certificate and advanced visual arts and design technician certificate) and all those students not included in the paragraph above must upload their documentation using the relevant web section. Access to the electronic system for these students is provided by simply inserting their Spanish ID card, Foreign Resident Identification Number (NIE) or passport and the app wizard will generate their PIC (Personal Identification Code).

Appointments for registration of students who are beginning undergraduate degrees and have completed the application procedure will be assigned according to the mark obtained for university admission. Consequently, it is very important that students register from the first day of the registration period, particularly with regard to maintaining priority in choice of group. If, after registration, a student is admitted onto another course and registers at another centre, the fee paid may be transferred if the student has registered in another course at the UA, or the student may request a refund if he or she has registered at another university.

MODIFICATION OF REGISTRATION
Modification of registration: From any computer with an Internet connection. Further information available at the centre’s secretary’s office. From the moment registration has been carried out until the end of the main registration period. Extraordinary deadline extensions are granted once the ordinary registration periods are over.

MODIFICATION AND CANCELLATION OF REGISTRATION
Cancellation of registration at student’s request. Place: corresponding centre’s secretary’s office. -Students who register for the first time and have been admitted to pursue further studies at the same level at this or another Spanish university must request cancellation of registration before 15 December at the centre where they registered. -Students registered for a maximum of 3 subjects to complete their studies, must apply before the start of the assessment of these subjects, set in the academic year calendar. -All other students must apply before the beginning of the first-semester examination period scheduled in the calendar. -Exceptionally, because of force majeure (accident or serious illness) and if duly justified and requested before the end of the resit examination session for first or second-semester subjects, registration cancellation may be granted afterwards, once each case has been examined.

OTHER PROCEDURES

Resit to complete official undergraduate degrees and master’s degrees. A resit can only be requested by students needing to pass maximum two subjects plus the Undergraduate Degree or Master’s Degree Final Project to finish their studies. For these purposes, Undergraduate Degree and Master’s Degree Final Projects will be considered as subjects, as set forth by the Office of the Vice-President for Students and Employment on 11-09-14.
Mark compensation. Mark compensation may only be granted once. Students shall not be able to apply for compensation again in any other degree studied at the UA. No compensation shall be granted to students from other universities who have used their compensation at such universities. Only one subject can be compensated , which must not exceed 9 credits.
Group change request. Place: secretary’s office of the corresponding centre.

Adjustments can also be applied for uncompleted undergraduate degrees from the Faculty of Education: former 3-year undergraduate degrees to the corresponding 4-year undergraduate degrees. [1] The starting date of the Master’s degrees is flexible and can be set from 28 September to 31 October. The Master’s degrees, which are governed by quarterly periods, will begin on 2 September 2020 and end on 22 June 2021. [2] The first year of the undergraduate degree in Nursing ends the first semester on 19 January. [3] The Nursing degree is governed by a specific calendar for the second semester and will be published on the website of the Faculty of Health Sciences. [4] During the assessment tests of this period, classes will not be suspended. The dates for those tests must be published at least 7 days before the beginning of this examination period. [5] The C1 exam period for final-year undergraduate project (FYUP) will be adjusted by each centre according to its needs. [6] C2 exam period begins on 13 January 2021 for dual undergraduate degrees. [7] C2 exam period for the undergraduate degree in Nursing: 20 January from 4 February. [8] If the Office of the Vice President for Students and Employment considers it appropriate, these periods will also apply to external internships —both curricular and extracurricular— carried out during the summer.
