Ao Yon Beach Ao Yon is another peaceful beach located on the other corner of the island. The small bay offers serenity for a couple picnic with beautiful headland on two sides. The beach is about 15 minutes away from Phuket Town so it’s convenient to visit and have other plans after, like dinner under candle lights. Bang Pae Waterfall
Windmill Viewpoint Located near Phrom Thep Cape and Nai Harn Beach, the viewpoint offers the backdrop of a windmill with the panoramic landscape of the Andaman Sea on the southern coast of the island. Take a mat, with a basket of your favorite afternoon nibbles and a bottle of wine then enjoy the rest of the afternoon with your other half. The sunset is simply breathtaking!
Marine Park. Sit quietly together, listening to the sound of the waves kissing the shore, let the warmth of the tropical sun encircle you two while breathing in salty oxygen is simply romantic.
Located in the north of Phuket, Bang Pae Waterfall is one of the most famous waterfalls in Phuket. The lush forest and green scenery with the sound of the waterfall and lovely creatures can create a great atmosphere for an afternoon picnic. Pack your bag with delicious snacks and drinks and chill with your loved one on
Nai Yang Beach If you’re looking for a serene beach, not too crowded nor chaotic, which allows you and your loved one to spend some exclusive moments together, Nai Yang Beach is pretty much the answer. Located in the northbound of Phuket, Nai Yang Beach offers the tranquility of the National the rock then soak into freshwater from the mountain is really refreshing and sentimental. Nai Harn Beach The pine tree garden adjacent to Nai Harn Beach is one of the classic picnic spots for both locals and expats. The shades of tall pine trees protect you from the afternoon sun making the atmosphere chilling and breezy. Nai Harn Beach is ranked as the top three most beautiful beaches in Asia by TripAdvisor so apart from the garden, you can also choose to place your mat with a picnic set on the beach or near the coast watching one of the most romantic sunsets together.

OUR TOP PICKS
Every month, our team selects for you the top 3 beaches you should visit while staying in Phuket. All of them have their pros and cons, so we try to provide a good mix between the popular ones and the less crowded ones. Patong Beach: The beating heart of Phuket’s nightlife, Patong Beach is the most famous beach on the island and the center of entertainment, restaurants, shopping and hotels. The beach itself has soft sand and warm clear water. Behind the beach you’ll find the hustle and bustle of Phuket’s tourism business, which features hotels, restaurants, bars, street bazaars and shops crammed into a colorful, lively mix that showcases a vibrant Thai tourist beach town. Ao Sane Beach: Ao Sane Beach is a small, almost hidden bay, located north of Nai Harn Beach. To access this beach, you need to drive through the grounds of The Nai Harn Phuket beach resort. Ao Sane is a small, rocky beach that is excellent for snorkeling. There’s a small on-site restaurant to grab a bite to eat at when you tire from splashing in the waves. Ao Yon Beach: Ao Yon is a tiny beach located near Cape Panwa, and approximately 10km from Phuket Town. The local neighborhood is rather sleepy, which means the beach is tranquil and perfect for relaxing. The bay is usually filled with boats and yachts, so swimming here can often be challenging. However, it’s a great beach to relax with a book or watch the sunset from.
WHAT TO DO WHEN A JELLYFISH STINGS YOU? Let’s face it: this is certainly something you’d prefer to avoid when enjoying a day at the beach, but the Andaman Sea contains its fair share of the translucent animal. Below is a quick recap on the symptoms one can suffer from a sting and the best way to treat someone suffering from it. Remember that you should always call for a lifeguard to assist you should you be in pain after getting out of the water.
SYMPTOMS
WHAT TO DO
Severe pain on the wound, back, trunk or head;
Bring the injured person out of the sea to a safe place;
Restlessness or confusion;
Call an ambulance (Tel. 1669);
Sweating, chills, nausea or vomiting;
Have the person remain still to prevent the spread of toxin;
Palpitations, chest pain or chest tightness;
Pour vinegar continuously over the wound for at least 30
Breathing difficulty, rapid breathing or panting;

fresh oysters, rock lobsters, flower crabs, prawns, black mussels, and giant mud crabs. The sea delicacies were impressively fresh so just a little touch of lime or Thai seafood dip is more than enough. Another all-time favorite station for us is the cold cuts and cheese. We were pleased by their fine quality of products they use, including the prosciutto carving station. Pairing them all with a glass of white wine is simply pampering!
If you are looking for the perfect end of the week, we highly recommend an indulging feast at Four Points by Sheraton Phuket Patong Beach Resort, which takes place on the first Sunday of each month. The sushi and sashimi bar is an unforgettable one, too. We enjoyed the fresh slices of free flow salmon and tuna so much. Right from the table, we were impressed by the crispy pork cooked with a Chinese recipe that was served by the chef who
The highlight of the day that no one should miss was the station of giant lobsters topped with Raclette cheese. The fresh lobster meat that was cooked to perfection mixed well with the richness of this unique cheese; it was unbeatable! At the grill station, we had some delicious bites of grilled and well-seasoned Canadian lobsters and scallops as well as passed around with his trolley and sliced your preferred pieces and portions. At the traditional and local corner, we were welcomed by Phuket dim sum, served hot from the wooden bowl, alongside a noodle station where you can choose between pork and beef soup. The desserts station is another must-go. The chocolate fountain is a heaven for sweet teeth while the cakes are all really yummy. The sponges were soft and moist with flavorful cream and toppings. The blueberry and strawberry cheesecakes are rich and mellow. Chao Leh Restaurant is located within the Four Points by Sheraton Phuket Patong Beach Resort on 198/8-9 Thawewong Rd. A TASTE OF ITALIAN RECIPES
AT CRUST PHUKET If you are looking for traditional Italian cuisine and delicious pizzas in the area of Phuket Hospital, then look no further and head down to Crust! The venue has been providing fantastic lunches and dinners to hungry Phuketians for over five years now and has an excellent reputation. You can easily spot the restaurant if you look for a series of building with Sino-Portuguese architecture, on the left-hand side right after passing in front of Index Living Mall in Phuket Town. There are a few parking spots available right in front of the venue, and some more located within Soi Bangyai, which connects with the back of the Phuket Hospital building. The atmosphere is very clean and conveys a sense of relaxation from the minute you step in. Freshly made desserts are displayed over the counter so you can get a preview of how you will end the dining experience. Over the years, they received a lot of praise for their pizzas, which are made fresh using only the finest Italian ingredients. From the selection of mozzarella to the assortment of cold cuts, everything has been thought of for you to enjoy every bite of their delicious creations. Crust also offers a selection of pasta with different sauces, from the classic Bolognese to the more elaborate Chorizo Carbonara and Truffle Alfredo. They also cater to vegetarians with a variety of fresh salads, such as the Caprese or the Citrus Arugula. The garlic bread was very “crusty, too! Your lunch would not be completed without a pairing of your favorite wine, which is sold by the glass or by the bottle. Bear in mind that the restaurant has limited seating capacity and therefore it is best to arrive a little bit earlier, especially if you are dining with a group of four people or more. The service is also worth mentioning, as all waiters/waitresses go above and beyond to ensure that you will have a pleasant time during your visit. The restaurant closes every Wednesday. Crust is located opposite Index Living Mall, in Phuket Town, and is open from 11:00 am to 9:00 pm, closed on Wednesdays. TIME TO UNCLUSTER YOUR MIND! Animals live only in the present and tend to be quite “happy” most of the time (unless, of course, they are being ensnared by a human or predator-laid trap or are in imminent danger). Are there a few practical ways we can start acting like a kangaroo, rabbit, or (insert any cute furry animal)? Yes! Building good habits starts with doing a task—or set of tasks—once, then repeating that effort a second time, and so on until the pattern becomes ingrained. Below are 8 practical ways we can all start practicing the good habit of living in the present to uncluster our mind from wandering aimlessly to a theoretically “better” future or going into endless loops of unpleasant events from our past. Try to implement as many of these
8 steps both today and tomorrow. If you’re feeling ambitious and really want these steps to become a habit, try doing it for 1-2 weeks straight.
5. Write down 2-3 things you’re thankful for and then post them on the refrigerator or on a Post-it note at work.
You may not notice much after the first few days, but if you keep doing these things, you may find yourself living more often in the present than you think.
6. Put down the glass of wine and take a 30-minute walk; see how you feel afterward.
1. Spend 10-15 minutes in the morning meditating. 2. Spend 30 minutes reading a book either in the morning or in bed at night. 3. Savor the morning coffee without doing anything but drinking the coffee and relaxing. 4. Write down five tasks that you’d like to accomplish for the day and scratch them off with each completion.
7. Now, have a glass of wine and enjoy it with only music in the background (or silence). 8. Say thank you to at least one person who did something or said something positive that day (online doesn’t count). Do it in person or over the phone. Happiness, after all, often comes through simply living in and focusing on the present. How often do we find ourselves getting into a state of flow at work or at the gym where nothing else in the world seems to matter?

During the first two days of the week, Chillva Market focuses on second-hand items, a great way to recycle and find clothing and other accessories at a cheaper price point, while the rest of the week is dedicated to the regular market. Right at the entrance, you will find several rows of tents, selling pieces of clothing such as dresses, T-shirts, and trousers, with a few tents dedicating their space
THREE SNACKS NOT TO BE MISSED AT CHILLVA Feeling the munchies? While there are dozens and dozens of snacks to explore at the market, we would recommend trying out the roti, a round flatbread usually served with sweet milk, bananas, and chocolate, as well as a selection of deep-fried sausages, served with a spicy sauce that goes by the name of Nam Jim. Alternatively, you could try out the Khanom Tokyo, which is a crepe-like base filled with quail eggs, sausages, and a lot of black pepper.
Parking can be found at the back of the market, where they also organize some events in partnership with other companies, such as local airlines and banks. Similar to the market itself, the parking tends to fill in quickly, so you better arrive early or expect some delays in finding the right spot. If you’re looking to visit a market or two during your stay in Phuket, then make sure to consider Chillva Market, as it offers a good alternative to the equally popular Naka Market (aka Weekend Market) and the Sunday market on Thalang Road; easy to access and packed with the locals, a good sign that they have been doing something right for the past three years.

Visiting a hospital in Thailand While we certainly hope you won’t have to visit a hospital while you are staying in Thailand, rest assured that the quality of treatments you would receive in private hospitals in Phuket and Thailand, in general, are on par with what you could be expected in the West, if not better. After all, Thailand is a big player in the medical tourism industry, and for good reasons; most doctors have international experience, translators are readily available if needed, and of course, the costs of treatments are much cheaper than what you would be asked to pay in other countries.
