CHELSEA LIVING TOWER In response to the growing urban density in New York, the increasing demand for affordable housing in Manhattan and the expansion of the urban perimeter, we developed a urban farming tower in the city of Manhattan. A mixed use building of urban vertical farm, housing and public space, adressing the issues presented while bringing an improvement for the chelsea district as a whole. Although the three uses are connected between them, there needs to be a clear division between all of them, due to accessibility and environmental conditions. Also, the public area is intended to connect directly to the highline for increased interaction with the urban environment.

As a solution for the housing issue, to create affordable housing, it was decided to create compact shoebox housing to accomodate the millenials. For this kind of housing, some conditions need to be taken care of, like use of shared spaces, open areas on entrance and other conditions. But, to also accomodate future changes in housing scenario, the housing is expandable by nonstructural divisions. Creating possibility of accomodating diverse profiles of families.

The structure was made in a way to create a void for separating the farming and the housing areas. Creating a natural ventilation and skylight ilumination for it, besides improving on the quality of space. This structure also intends to create a space with the least structure interference on the open plaza on ground level. The housing and farming areas are held by substructure connected to this main structure in a suspention effort.

CULTURAL PARK PARANGABA LAGOON As part of an urban initiative proposed, this project intends to work as a catalyst for the urban renewal of the currently abandoned region. The idea is to use a currently abandoned area with high density of trees as a park with a cultural center on it, containing a library, a theater, gallery and educational buildings, other than other small uses such as cafĂŠs and administrative.

SAVANNAH CULTURAL CENTER Proposed as a gateway building for the city of Savannah, the cultural center is a collective of different uses to serve the population of the city in a way of potencializing the use of the public space while promoting art in any of its form.

While working as a path for the pedestrians going downtown and a gateway for the city, the center invites the population to experience art, either through expositions, classes or presentations.

SAVANNAH WEST TERMINAL On the development of a building with urban relevance, it was proposed the removal of a highway ramp that causes segregation in the urban mesh of Savannah. The concept behind this project is to replace the ramp for a multimodal terminal to create integration of the different methods of transportation. The creation of a plaza for interaction between people while connecting buses, trains, bikes and other methods of transportation.
