You will also enjoy a walking tour in the old town, Bakklandet. This is situated on the eastern side of the river Nidelven and is connected to the city centre with the old city bridge. Monday, 09 September Our next port of call shall be Alesund, one of Norway’s most picturesque and charming fishing ports. After a hearty breakfast on board, today we offer you an optional city tour to discover the main sights; the amazing Atlantic Sea Park and Giske church which dates back to 1200. In contrast with all this tranquility it also offers thrilling sightseeing opportunity like a trip to the foot of the ancient Briksdal Glacier & Stryn. The views overlooking the inner Nordfjord are predominantly magnificent. The powerful Briksdal Glacier
is a part of the Jostedal Glacier National Park. The wild glacier swoops down from a height of 1200m to the lush, narrow Briksdal Valley. This ice giant covers 486 square metres and is up to 400 metres deep. Its highest point is 1,950 metres above sea level. It ends in a lake only 346 metres above sea level. The ship shall depart from the port at 4 p.m. Wednesday, 11 September Following a sumptuous breakfast we highly recommend you to join our final optional excursion as we visit the south-west coast of Norway. Leaving the port we head to the pretty village of El Paso, located on the west part of the island and is perfectly positioned to enjoy some spectacular views over the Valle de Aridane valley and the Caldera de Taburiente crater. Small, friendly and undeniably Canarian, El Paso is one of La Palma’s great escapes. Our next stop is the Plaza de la Glorieta, not far from El Paso. We then drive to the northern part of the island - to the viewpoint “Mirador de La Galga”, situated right on the edge of two deep cut gorges. Continuing, we shall stop in the attractive little town of Los Sauces before returning back to the ship. Sunday, 06 October – This morning we dock in Tenerife, the largest of the Canary Islands and with a population of 700,000. We suggest you join our optional excursion, which shall pass through the island’s administration and commercial centre and capital city, Santa Cruz de Tenerife, before our coach heads north towards San Andres before climbing to El Bailadero and the Anaga Mountains, a sweeping panorama of volcanic peaks at the north-eastern corner of Tenerife. You will stop for photos at el Bailadero before continuing down to Taganana, one of the oldest villages of Tenerife, where you will visit the church and have free time. Your next stop will be the Pico del Ingls, from where you have a beautiful view of the north and south side of the island. Population is scarce in this harsh region but the road that runs northwards is a constant vision of stunning views over the island, pushing its way towards the Monte de Las Mercedes, a dense forest of laurel trees and one of the island’s most idyllic spots. Enjoy the rest of the evening on board this incredible ship. Monday, 07 October – This morning our ship shall dock in Las Palmas in the Gran Canaria, the third largest of the seven Canary Islands, located off the northwest corner of Africa. Our optional excursion takes us through the south motorway from Las Palmas to San Fernando de Maspalomas. After this, you will travel to San Bartolome which is situated next to the Tirajana crater, an incredible volcanic setting of steep terrain and abundant vegetation. We then continue to the town of Teror, located in the mid-mountain range of the north of Gran Canaria. Teror attracts many visitors, for a variety of reasons. It boasts an important history, has an array of interesting monuments and a beautiful natural setting but at the same time it is an important place for both religious observance and folk traditions in the Canary Islands. We then head to the capital city of the island, Las Palmas, and have some free time exploring the most interesting sites, including Plaza Santa Ana. We shall then return to our ship enjoying the wonderful atmosphere on board! Tuesday, 08 October – Today’s port of call shall offer us our final visit to the Canary Islands. Lanzarote is different, not only compared to the other islands but to everything else on this planet. The extraordinary landscape seems to be of another world. We begin by driving to the north of the island before arriving in Haria with its gorgeous view of the valley of 1000
palm trees, a green oasis in the midst of Lanzarote’s arid landscape. We then pass by the village of Maguez, with the Volcan de La Corona (Volcano of the Crown) rising up before you, and a little further on, we reach the town of Ye after enjoying magnificent scenery of the group of small islands and islets to the north of Lanzarote, known as the “Archipielago Chinijo” (The Tiny Archipelago). We shall then drive to the south part of the island, towards Timanfaya which is one of the thirteen national parks in Spain. You will be amazed at the craters of the still active volcanoes. On the drive back to the ship we shall pass through the beautiful area where one finds the vineyards of “La Geria”. This wine producing area is a few miles inland and the wall of volcanic rock divides the apparently barren field but, within these walls, the vines flourish under a layer of porous lava granules which absorb the dew at night and provide constant moisture to the plants. Wednesday, 09 October – Today shall be another day at sea and so another day to relax and unwind! Sun worshippers may lay down on a sun-bed or deck chair by the pool lapping in the sun whilst the more active and energetic clients may enjoy the various on-board activities, games, sports activities and aerobic classes. As cruising is also a great family vacation the ship’s animation team offer special programmes for all our ‘sailors’, whatever their age – from toddlers till teenagers! Thursday, 10 October – Today we shall be entering the port of Lisbon, the capital of Portugal for our final excursion. We recommend an optional excursion visiting this city, also known as Lisboa to the native Portuguese and see why this city reigns above all others as you stroll along elaborate mosaic sidewalks and pass by the Monument to the Discoveries. One of Portugal’s best-known monuments is the impressive Manueline masterpiece, Belem Tower. A merger of Romanesque and Gothic art with Renaissance and eastern influences, the tower stands by the Tagus River at the point from which Vasco de Gama left for the Indies. Don’t miss the Mosteiro dos Jeronimos, or Jeronimo’s Monastery. Friday, 11 October & Saturday, 12 October – Every day at sea is packed with activities, from deck games to entertainment. Indulge yourself in a relaxing massage, exercise or shop in the on-board boutiques. Take a dip in the pool. After a long day of activities and mind blowing cuisine, you’re probably in the mood to unwind and enjoy a bit of thrill-seeking fun. It doesn’t matter if your plans are to test your luck at a hand of blackjack or soak in the atmosphere at the lounge of your choice, you’ll find exactly what you’re looking for - the day is yours. Indulge! On Saturday 12 October, you will be instructed to leave your luggage outside your stateroom in the evening as bags are transported ashore by Royal Caribbean personnel early next morning. Sunday, 13 October – Ship docks in Southampton at 5.30 a.m. Enjoy your last breakfast on board the Adventure of the Seas as your cruise holiday comes to an end and wait until called to disembark. A private coach shall take us to London Gatwick Airport and check in for Airmalta flight KM117 scheduled to leave at 11.55am. Expected time of arrival in Malta will be at 3.55 p.m.

Twice daily the powerful tides of the Bay of Fundy rise faster than the river can empty. When this happens, the tide attempts to push the river back upstream, then the tide ebbs and the river appears to reverse itself and flow over the rocks, creating the appearance of reversing rapids. While it may lack a truly stunning natural setting or in-your-face sights, its subtle charms are addictive. Melbourne is a cosmopolitan city sprawled around a wide beach-lined bay but yet its center is easily explored on foot. Many of the city’s most famous attractions are within a short stroll of each other, or you can hop on one of the city’s historic trams and trundle between them. The ship sets sail at 6 p.m. heading south-east towards New Zealand. Sunday, 17 November & Monday, 18 November – Every day at sea is packed with activities, from deck games to entertainment. Indulge yourself in a relaxing massage, exercise or shop in the on-board boutiques. Take a dip in the pool. After a long day of activities and mind blowing cuisine, you’re probably in the mood to unwind and enjoy a bit of thrill-seeking fun. It doesn’t matter if your plans are to test your luck at a hand of blackjack or soak in the atmosphere in the lounge of your choice, you’ll find exactly what you’re looking for - the day is yours. Tuesday, 19 November – After an early breakfast we suggest that you’ll be on an outside deck as the ship sails into Milford Sound, considered to be one of the most breathtaking places in New Zealand. The 22-km-long fjord is dominated by beautiful Mitre Peak and calmed by gorgeous waters that mirror the sheer peaks surrounding them. Although remote, visitors come from all over the world to admire its raw, unspoiled beauty and rare marine life. Cruising the sound affords views of Bowen Falls, Mitre Peak, Anita Bay and both Elephant and Stirling Falls. Try to catch a glimpse of the dolphins, seals and penguins that pop to the surface on nice days in these calm waters. The ship then sails on and shall pass through Doubtful Sound (also known as ‘Sound of Silence’). This imposing fjord is a tranquil, awe-inspiring destination known for its cascading waterfalls, looming mountains and rare marine life. While years ago only the most courageous sailors would enter the sound, today it is one of the most beautifully protected bodies of water in Fiordland National Park, attracting photographers, adventurers and cruisers from all over

RADIANCE OF THE SEAS the globe. Its mountains and cascades are more immediately eyecatching but Doubtful Sound abounds in rich marine life that makes a trip through its waters a special treat. Look overboard for bottlenose dolphins following the boat, or turn your eye ashore for lounging fur seals. You may even catch a glimpse of the Fiordland crested and blue penguins, gorgeous rare birds that call the sound home. The ship then cruises on to Dusky Sound, one of the most complex fjords on New Zealand’s southern coast. This fjord is one of the largest in New Zealand, at 40kms in length and is a place of serene beauty, accessible today only by sea or air. European explorers first spotted this treasure when Captain Cook and his crew happened upon its opening in the late eighteenth century. Although they returned to explore its waters months later, Cook and his crew named it Dusky Sound for the time of night when they first found it. The myriad islands that lie in the sound make for spectacular sightseeing, particularly majestic Resolution Island, whose Five Fingers Peninsula shelters the sound from the northwest. The abundance of sunbathing seals on Seal Rock also sends visitors reaching for their cameras. Finally, keep your eyes peeled for bird and wildlife sanctuaries: Curlew, Shag, Petrel, Pigeon and Parrot Isles; Shag River; Seal Rock; Goose, Duck and Woodhen Coves. Enjoy the rest of the evening in comfort aboard your luxurious cruise ship. Wednesday, 20 November – This morning our ship shall dock in the port of Dunedin. After an early breakfast we suggest you explore Dunedin which is the second-largest city in the South Island of New Zealand. As gateway to Queenstown’s many adrenaline-pumping activities and guard to the unspoiled natural habitats of the Otago Peninsula, this city, with its historic Victorian architecture, alternative collegiate vibe and outstanding outdoor recreation, stands second to none. Whether you want to peep at rare penguins, view historic buildings or take in a museum, Dunedin has it all and then some! The ship departs at 6 p.m. and after your dinner enjoy the evening performances of West-end style shows and entertainment offered daily. Thursday, 21 November – Today we shall dock in the quaint little fishing town of Akaroa (by tender), located a one-hour drive from Christchurch. We suggest you enjoy a walk through the town passing numerous historic buildings and unique gardens. The town was originally founded by French settlers in 1840 with the view to establishing a French colony in New Zealand. This was thwarted by the British who signed a treaty with the Maori people within weeks of the French arrival but the French nonetheless settled here and the town still bears all the hallmarks of a French colonial town. Descendants of these settlers still reside here and you will see the signs of the original French influence, from the architecture to street names. Return to the ship for a late afternoon snack and as the ship sets sail at 6 p.m. prepare for yet another dinner extravagance and wonderful evening entertainment.
Friday, 22 November – As the ship enters the capital city of New Zealand at 8 a.m., we suggest an early breakfast so as to have more then enough time to explore Wellington, New Zealand’s second-largest city and a walker’s paradise. Sandwiched between steep hills on one side and the ocean on the other, this city is located on the southern-most point of the Northern Island. Because so much of the city is within walking distance, you’ll never feel the need to hire a cab. The fact that Wellington has become New Zealand’s fastest-growing weekend destination tells you something about the city. Visit the spectacular waterfront including the Te Papa Tongarewa national museum. Return to the ship in time to prepare for yet another dinner extravagance and wonderful evening entertainment as the ship sets sail at midnight. Saturday, 23 November – Our final port of call shall be in the northern town of Picton, a charming seaside town at the head of Queen Charlotte Sound in the Marlborough region of New Zealand. Settled by early 19th century whalers, Picton is now a bustling seaport surrounded by award winning restaurants, delightful local art galleries, water sports’ activities plus beautiful yet challenging nature trails. Sunday, 24 November & Monday, 25 November – Every day at sea is packed with activities. Relax and enjoy the facilities and entertainment on-board your ship. The ship’s animators shall also be organizing a number of activities on various decks and lounges, so it’s entirely up to you to participate! For those who prefer quiet moments should opt for a relaxing sauna. Tonight let your waiter tempt you with a chocolate mousse or any other irresistible dessert. Take a walk out on deck or enjoy one last slow dance under the canopy of stars and let the romance of the sea works its magic. On Monday 25 November, being our last day sailing, you will be instructed to leave your luggage outside your stateroom in the evening as bags are transported ashore by Royal Caribbean’s personnel early next morning.
Tuesday, 26 November – Early morning arrival in Sydney followed by early breakfast and disembarkation. Your coach shall then transfer you to our tourist class hotel. After the room check-in (in the afternoon) you may wish to spend the rest of the day at leisure. Sydney is a rare jewel - sparkling both day and night - and the city reflects the Australian personality - a bit brash, a bit cheeky but warm, outgoing and friendly…..and it knows how to party! There is something for every visitor! Overnight in our hotel. Wednesday, 27 November – After breakfast join our optional day excursion as you explore the city of Sydney. Enjoy magnificent views of the Opera House & famous Harbour Bridge. See the shopping heart of the city and Centre Point Tower. Visit Sydney’s trendy new district Oxford Street. You then drive to famous Bondi Beach. Visit the beachfront promenade, enjoy a coffee or cool drink (not incl.). See bronzed Aussie lifesavers & Sydney’s best panoramic view. Return to your hotel in Sydney followed by overnight. Thursday, 28 November – Room check-out after breakfast and the rest of the morning is left free for some more free personal sightseeing. In the late afternoon our coach shall transfer us to Sydney Airport in time for check-in for the Emirates flight departing for Dubai at 9.45 p.m. Friday, 29 November – We shall arrive in Dubai at 5.15 a.m. and transit for our connecting Emirates flight to Malta, departing at 8.10 a.m. with a brief stop over in Larnaca. We should arrive in Malta at 1.20 p.m., certainly cherishing some wonderful memories of a truly unforgettable trip.

Heraklion The largest city on the island of Crete, has a long history that it meets with a vibrant, modern flair. The name of the Mediterranean island city was inspired by Hercules, the mighty son of Zeus—the Greeks were just one of the cultures to leave their mark on Heraklion.
Santorini Is known as one of the most spectacular landscape in the world. White Cycladic houses and blue painted windows fighting against black volcanic rocks rising from the sea, is a spectacle that will inspire more than an artist…
Mykonos Is found in the heart of Cyclades. It is an island with a double personality: it is one of the most picturesque Cycladic islands, with picturesque streets, white houses, chapels and windmills, and simultaneously one of the most known tourist destinations
Izmir The Agora on two floors, built by Marcus Aurelius, is the ancient heart of modern Izmir. In nearby Pergamum, it is well worth visiting Askelepieion, a place of worship and healing centre dedicated to the god of medicine. A must-see is Ephesus, one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World: do not miss the largest theatre of Antiquity and the colossal temple of Artemis. Not far from there is Bulbul, where the Virgin Mary lived for 46 years. Samos A magical Greek island waiting to be explored, where you can visit ancient and modern temples, picturesque villages and unique archaeological sites, and take in sparkling beaches and bays, enjoying the sweet taste of wine or a nice picnic on the beach. It’s worth having a guide to lead you on a stroll through the city or a walk in the countryside: in addition to the wonderful sea, there’s a whole culture to discover, full of history and excitement.
Kos Discovering this typical Greek island will surprise you: we’ll take you to photograph every landscape, sunbathe on every beach and stroll along every narrow street of these colourful villages. You’ll see every part of this birthplace of Hippocrates, a centre of culture and a major Mediterranean archaeological site. A unique place in which to enjoy the flavours and fragrances of an ancient civilisation.
Rhodes One of the largest and most fertile of the Greek Islands, and is one of the most visited because of its combination of beaches, archaeological sites, and extensive medieval town

Cruise Tours 2013 49
General Conditions Holidays in the programme have been planned and are operated by Orange Cruises Ltd (owned and operated by Orange Travel Group) hereby referred to as “the Company” and / or “the Tour Operator”. To ensure maximum client satisfaction, we want you to enjoy your holiday to the full and return both satisfied and relaxed, and above all, convinced that you have been given good value for money. The General Conditions have been laid out to ensure that the deal between the Tour Operator and the client is clear and fair to both parties. These conditions cover virtually every aspect of your holiday from the moment you book to the moment you arrive back home. As we want everyone to know where they stand with us, the General Conditions clearly spell out our obligations to you and your commitments to us when you book a holiday with us from our brochure. OUR COMMITMENT TO YOU 1. Your Reservation Once you have completed and signed the booking form and paid your deposit of €1000 per cabin on and have been issued a receipt by your travel agent, the booking is taken as confirmed and it is understood that you have read and accepted the accompanying terms and conditions. We will reserve your holiday. Your booking is also taken to be confirmed in respect of all persons travelling in your party. 2. Our Price Policy Prices in this brochure are valid at the time of publication. It is possible that at the time of booking, the actual price of your chosen holiday may have increased from that shown in the brochure which we reserve the right to do. We guarantee that the price of your holiday will not be subject to any surcharge whatsoever. Once you have made your booking and paid a deposit, then the cost of your holiday cannot be increased, except in the case of substantial currency fluctuations and/or increase of taxes or levies and/or aircraft fuel increases imposed by airlines. A service charge of 3% of the cost of the holiday is being levied. The amount is included at the end of each programme together with the taxes. Prices for children are applicable for children under 12 years of age that are sharing with 2 adults. 3. Our Assurance on Standards and Assumption of Liability Our brochure descriptions are based on the information obtained from hoteliers and other service producers themselves. Hotel rooms and ship cabins are always small, (sometimes very small). The Tour Operator only work with hotels & vessels having single or twin/double bedded rooms. A room/cabin for 2 passengers may either consist of two separate beds or a matrimonial bed (which can also mean two beds pushed together irrespective of gender). Triple or quadruple bedded rooms are never available. A third or a fourth person wanting to share a twin/double bedded room, will most probably be given either a small extra folding ‘camp’ bed, a bunk bed, or a sofa bed, which will make accommodation quite uncomfortable. In America three or four persons wanting to share a room will always be given just two matrimonial beds, (separate beds for each person are not available). When two persons book a room for two, the Tour Operator reserves the right to either provide two separate beds or a large matrimonial bed. All hotels provided are not airconditioned and no fans will be provided, not even during extreme heat waves, (unless clearly specified in the programme). Breakfast is only provided when specified and when provided is always continental unless specified. Lunches and dinners are always served on three courses. No choice of food will be provided; neither changes can be accepted (e.g. having meat instead of fish). Portions served are always small/ moderate in size. When buffet meals are provided a choice is available. Drinks, including water, during meals are always to be paid extra. Use of minibar, telephone and T.V. in rooms is also chargeable to the client. Unless clearly specified all entrance fees to museums and shows, boat trips, metro or cable car are always extra. All optional excursions are extra and unless clearly specified they only include transportation costs by coach, entrances are extra and no local guides are provided. An optional excursion will only be operated if the minimum number of paying participants reaches 25 adults; if not the Tour Operator will have the right not to operate the said excursion and will be under no obligation to compensate the Client/s for not operating the said optional excursion; furthermore the Client/s cannot cancel their planned group tour or cruise because one or more excursions could not be operated due to either lack of bookings or for some other technical reason which is beyond the Tour Operator’s control. Prices are clearly marked in the ‘price box’, at the end of each programme. Only items listed under ‘Price includes’ are included in the package price. Please remember that brochures are produced months in advance and there may be occasions when an advertised facility or entertainment is not available during your particular holiday, especially if it is out of high season. Bad weather, essential maintenance or cleaning, lack of support or demand may all effect the actual availability of particular activities or facilities; So, for instance, can such things
as local licensing laws, religious or local holidays, or local authority or governmental restrictions. Similarly, touring itineraries may have to be changed sometimes at short notice, due to weather, road or traffic conditions, mechanical breakdowns, police activity etc. Coaches are not air-conditioned (except when clearly specified on a programme) and do not have onboard functional toilet facilities. Swimming pools may only be heated in colder weather and the general standard of hygiene, public utilities, drainage, plumbing and services in general may not be the same standards as in Malta. Each group tour is escorted by either a Maltese or an English speaking tour leader who will be responsible for the implementation of the programme according to the brochure. The tour leader is under no circumstance responsible to carry out work (unless for emergency), over and above the official programme and is not obliged to accompany members of the group around shops, flea markets or theme parks. Cruise companies reserve the right to change the itinerary due to bad weather or industrial action, in which case neither the cruise company nor the Tour Operator are liable to pay any form of compensation for the missed ports or the change of programme. If any portion of holiday is cost due to natural disasters, bad weather, industrial action, war, government restrictions or any matter of force majeure, neither Orange Cruises Ltd nor its subcontractors can be held liable to pay compensation or for damages incurred. As a responsible Company we feel it only right to point out these possibilities, however unlikely. If you have a particular problem, please inform the hotel reception desk and/or our representative in writing at the time so that, if possible, it can be dealt with there and then. Having said all that, we want to give the following assurance about our liability to you:- We have taken all reasonable steps to ensure that proper arrangements have been made for all the holidays which are advertised in this brochure. You will appreciate, however, that we have no direct control over the provision of services to you by suppliers. 4. If We Change Your Holiday Arrangements a) Before departure date We plan our holidays to give you the maximum enjoyment. Although it is unlikely, we may occasionally have to change your holiday arrangements and we reserve the right to do so any time. For instance, Flight timings may change, a hotel may close down or be overbooked, we may have to amend an itinerary, or sales of that holiday may not reach a level which would be economical for us to operate. If we have to make any changes, we will inform you or your Travel Agent as soon as is reasonably possible before departure. b) After Your Holiday Has Commenced Very occasionally it may be necessary, due to unforeseen circumstances, to change a hotel or some other part of your holiday arrangement after your holiday has commenced, in which event we will do our best to maintain the overall standard of the holiday arrangements. 5. If We Cancel Your Holiday Arrangements We may occasionally have to cancel your holiday arrangements. For instance sales of that holiday may not reach a level which would be economical for us to operate (minimum number of persons required to operate a tour is 25). We reserve the right in any circumstances to cancel your holiday and, in this event, we will return to you all the money you have paid us or will offer you an alternative holiday to purchase of comparable standard if available. In the unlikely event we have to cancel your trip, (unless for reasons beyond our control, i.e. industrial action, natural disasters, terrorist activities, breakdown of aircraft or ship etc.), the Tour Operator will refund you all money paid for the cost of your holiday plus, the following amounts as compensation (per person):Notification more than 15 days before departure nil Notification between 8-14 days - €25 Notification between 0-7 days - €50 6. Your Flight Details of your airlines we anticipate utilising are shown in the programme. The right is reserved to substitute alternative airlines and/or aircraft if necessary. Only flight timings are subject to confirmation and alteration. Our reservation system will show the latest timings as advised to us. Please check your flight tickets as soon as you receive them as they will show the final timing for your flights. Some flights may have intermediate stops en route and as factors effecting this are not always known before departure date we cannot always notify you in advance. Flights are subject to the granting of permits and licenses by authorities both in Malta and overseas. In the event of your flight arrangements being changed or cancelled as outlined in this section and sections 4 and 5, we accept no liability for extra costs or consequential loss arising, directly or indirectly, from any independent contract arrangements between the client and a third party. All flights are non-smoking.
7. Conditions Of Carriage Transport of any kind is subject to the conditions of carriage of the company providing that trip. These conditions are likely to embody the provisions of the law of the country of the company concerned or are likely to be subject to international conventions with government(s), any of which may limit or exclude the liability of the carrier (airline, coach, ship, etc.). YOUR COMMITMENT TO US 1. Booking Form And Deposits Your completed booking form showing all clients’ names as specified in your passport, must be accompanied by the appropriate deposit. No deposit is payable for infants under two years of age at the time of outbound travel. Holiday insurance cover will automatically be provided unless you delete the wording ‘YES’ from the insurance panel of the booking form. The person signing the booking form confirms that he/she has the authority of all other persons mentioned on that form to make the booking on their behalf and that he/she has already accepted the General Conditions. If you are booking a late-offer holiday any information and conditions issued in conjunction with that offer are also part of your contract. If in doubt you should check with your Travel Agent. 2. Balance Of Payment The balance is due for payment eight weeks before departure for land tours & twelve weeks for cruise tours (can be earlier for certain tours, ask at time of booking), or immediately if the booking is made within eight weeks from departure. If you book through a Travel Agent, you should ensure that you pay the Agent in sufficient time to allow payments to reach our Company by the due date. If for any reason the balance is not received by us by the due date, we reserve the right to cancel bookings and levy a cancellation charge as though there has been a cancellation in accordance with paragraph 4. If your chosen travel agent fails to pay in full (less the applicable commission) to the Tour Operator, the tour operators will be under no legal obligation to supply you with your holiday, so it is up to you to ensure that your travel agent pays the Tour Operator! Payments by credit cards are not accepted. No payments by cheque will be accepted less than 14 days before departure. As a norm we do not accept credit card payments, but if we do, we will have to charge you an administrative fee of 2% over the amount to be paid. 3. If You Change Your Booking Your booking can be changed upon request and subject to availability (rebooking). This can be done until 60 days before date of travel. O.C. charges the sum of €50 rebooking fee per person. Should you wish to make a rebooking after 60 days before date of travel, then booking changes can only be made, if at all possible, by cancelling the travel contract under the conditions stated in 6.1 and rebooking. Any form of alteration made to the date of travel, destination or place of start, accommodation, the cabin or mode of transport is considered as a change. 3.1 Replacements Up to the date of travel i.e. taking into consideration a reasonable amount of time for organisational matters, you may demand that a third party takes over all rights and liabilities of your travel contract. O.C. reserves the right to decline the third party should he/she not meet the travel requirements or should there be legal restrictions or an official directive against his/her participation. Should a third party enter the contract then he/she and you are liable as co-debtors for the travel fare and the additional costs caused by the third party entering. 3.2 Name Changes At time of booking all passengers names need to be submitted to O.C. Names need to be congruent with the valid passenger passports. O.C. reserves the right to pass on the service charges of €50 per person for name changes after the option is confirmed. Cancellation and rebooking fees are due immediately. 4. If You Cancel Your Booking You can cancel your contract at any time before date of travel. As means of proof, cancellations should be made in writing. Your cancellation notice is effective upon receipt by O.C. Should you cancel your booking or not commence the holiday, O.C. reserves the right to levy charges for made travel provisions and expenses incurred. When calculating the charges, O.C. takes into account the services saved and the possible other use of the services. O.C. may claim cancellation fees expressed as a percentage of the travel fare according to the amount of notice given between cancellation date and departure date, as listed below. Cancellation fees: Up to 340 days before: €100 per cabin 339 to 120 days: €1000 per cabin 119 to 90 days: 25% of the total fare or €1000 per cabin (whichever is higher) 89 to 60 days: 50% of the total fare or €1000 (whichever is higher) 59 to 30 days: 75% of the total fare or €1000 (whichever is higher) 29 days or less: 100% of the total fare or €1000 (whichever is higher)
*or applicable deposit amount per person (2 years of age and over) whichever is the greater. Cruises bear a 100% cancellation fee if cancelled less than 90 days prior to departure. If cruises are cancelled more than 90 days prior to departure only the deposit is lost, unless the cancellation is made more than 180 days before departure in which case no cancellation fees apply. On scheduled service and charter flights, sea passages and coach transportation, the amount of cancellation charge shown above applies only in the event that any air tickets issued are returned to the Tour Operator, otherwise a 100% cancellation charge shown above applies. If the reason for your cancellation falls within the terms of your insurance cover, you may be able to claim a refund of your cancellation charges from the insurance company. In case of actual or potential outbreaks of Bird Flu, SARS, Swine Flu etc, or natural disasters such as earthquakes, hurricanes, tsunamis, floods, etc., or political turmoil, terrorist activities, act of war in a neighbouring country, industrial action, etc., clients will not have a right to cancel their holiday without incurring full cancellation fees as specified in these General Conditions unless either the country that is at risk or hit issues an official state of emergency for the area to which the Client is travelling, or the Maltese Foreign Office issues instructions that disallow Maltese citizens to travel to a particular country or area of a country. In case that a trip (or part of a trip) has to be cancelled for the above reasons, the Tour Operator will try its very best to recuperate all the funds possible on behalf of its Clients, but the Clients cannot hold the Tour Operator responsible for parts of the funds or of the holiday lost as a consequence of the above acts. 5. Your Holiday Insurance We highly recommend that you take out for yourself and those for whom you book our recommended holiday insurance or that you arrange a policy yourself giving comparable or better cover under all sections. Insurance premiums will be automatically added to your final invoice unless the word “yes” is deleted. 6. Your Responsibilities a) It is your responsibility to ensure that you and those for whom you are booking are in possession of valid passports which are valid for at least six months after your scheduled date of return to Malta and any appropriate visas. Be sure to check passport and visa requirements with your Travel Agent well in advance particularly if you are a non- Maltese passport holder. Maltese nationals need visas for travel to a number of countries including the USA, Brazil, China, Egypt, Turkey and Russia and it is up the each Client to take care of his / her own visa for countries having such requirements. Should a visa not be issued, or withdrawn after issuance, or should a country refuse entry to a client for any reason (including invalidity of passport), the Tour Operator and, or his suppliers / subcontractors cannot be held responsible for damages or for partial or full loss of the holiday and any financial consequences will have to be borne by the Client. You are responsible for any charges, fines etc. that may be levied by authorities in Malta or overseas for non-compliance of regulations in this area and any such amounts will be recharged to you. b) Similarly, it is your responsibility to check with your doctor as to what vaccinations or inoculations are advisable for your chosen destination. c) Airline regulations state that women 28 weeks or more into pregnancy at the time of return travel must have a medical certificate of fitness to travel. d) You must be responsible for a reasonable standard of behaviour by yourself and by those for whom you have booked. We reserve the right to decline to accept or retain any person as a client if their behaviour is, in our opinion, or in the opinion of the airline pilot, hotelier or accommodation owner or manager or other person in authority, likely to cause distress, danger, damage or annoyance to other customers, employees, other people or to property. You understand that we shall be under no liability to pay any refund or compensation to, or costs incurred by, any person whose behaviour is thus unacceptable. 7. If You Have A Complaint We do our best to give you an enjoyable, trouble-free holiday, but occasionally even the best laid plans can go wrong. If you have a problem or complaint relating to the overseas part of your holiday you must advise in writing our tour leader, representative or agent in your resort at the earliest opportunity in order that it may be investigated and we have the opportunity to resolve the matter on the spot. In addition, you must notify us in writing within seven days (7) of the date of your return from your holiday. Because of the difficulties of investigating a complaint too long after the event, we will not accept liability in respect of claims received after the seven day period, and/or which have not been reported in writing to our representative or the supplier in resort.
