Ultra All Inclusive – A year after
Last year we introduced the Ultra All Inclusive basis to the Maltese market, and explained what it covers and its advantages. After a very successful year, we can confidently say that most of you have already experienced it personally, or you know people who did. It is, as all would agree, fantastic. There is so much included that the only expenses remaining are trivial. Having most of the drinks in all the bars included, especially in summer when the heat is so intense, is a real bonus. Add to that free ice creams, cocktails and alcoholic drinks, all sight seeing tours and even tips, and it becomes an astonishing value for money package. On the Mein Schiff 1 the food is served 24 hours a day, and it is free in most of the restaurants. The food is always exquisite and of the best quality. It is quite normal that at the end of the cruise, the bill for a whole family will be zero, so once you pay the local travel agent you know exactly how much the holiday is going to cost you in total. As regards the quality of the service on board, the Mein Schiff 1 offers high class meticulous service, with an emphasis on the well-being and relaxation of all the passengers. Entrance to sauna and use of gym and pool are included in the price, as are the use of hammocks and deck chairs in the open decks. So now, after the astounding success of 2011, we are proud to offer you for the second consecutive year the opportunity to enjoy an unforgettable experience of luxury and well-being on board the magnificent Mein Schiff 1.

Sightseeing -
Greece, Turkey & Italy
THE GREEK CAPITAL: ATHENS Approximate duration: 7 hours Stress level 4 Piraeus (Athens): Departure from Piraeus harbour to reach Athens after approximately 45 minutes drive. Upon arrival we shall stop at the landmark of this ancient city, one of the wonders of the ancient world, The Acropolis. Join the guide for a visit of this extraordinary archaeological masterpiece (entrance fee extra ca. Euro 12). After a panoramic tour by bus showing you the major sights of Athens such as the Syntagma Square, the law courts and many other buildings we shall stop near the Greek parliament where we witness the changing of guards at noon. We then proceed to the Plaka district, a most vividly colourful neighbourhood in the old town of Athens. This area is home to clothing boutiques, souvenir shops, speciality stores and numerous taverns and restaurants. Some free time for souvenir shopping will be allowed. On our way back to Piraeus we have a photo stop at the old Olympic stadium. BIBLICAL EPHESUS Approximate duration: 4 hours. Stress level: 5 Driving from the pier through the Turkish countryside along a hilly drive, you arrive at the House of Virgin Mary (entrance fee not included – approx. Euro7 per person) where the Blessed Virgin is reputed to have spent the last years of her life. The site was made famous by the travels of Pope Paul VI and Pope John Paul II. From there, a short drive will take you to the ancient city of Ephesus that was built on a small hill, (entrance fee not included – approx. Euro10 per person). The guided walking tour will take you through one of the most magnificent excavations in the world. See the Odeon, the Fountain of Trajan, the steam baths of Scholastika, the temple of Hadrian and the impressive library of Celsius. The Grand Theatre, where St. Paul preached, is one of the largest theatres in antiquity with a capacity of 24,000 seats. Return to the buses through the Arcadian way, where Mark Anthony and Cleopatra once rode in procession, and return to the ship for lunch. (Note: Guests must be able to walk approximately 2 km over uneven and cobblestone surfaces). KUSADASI – ORIENTAL SHOPPING Stress level: 3 In the afternoon join your Maltese representative for a walk through Kusadasi which is today one of the top Turkish holiday destinations offering an excellent environment for holidays. Beyond the modern tourist amenities, Kusadasi is reknown for its very characteristic old town which hosts a large oriental-Turkish bazaar – a real-treasure trove of souvenirs, antiquities, hand-made carpets and other artifacts, and of course spices which are so synonymous with the old Ottoman Empire culture. The ship departs from Kusadasi at 11pm so you can shop until the late hours, as shops remain open well after sunset, or you can try Turkish cuisine at its best in one of the many typical restaurants lining the promenade. THE ISLAND OF CRETE Approximate duration 4.5 hours stress level 2 After boarding the bus we will drive to the east of Crete, one of the largest Greek islands. On our way to Aghios Nikolaos we drive through the spectacular ravine of Saint George. We drive down the hill protecting this picturesque town and this gives us the opportunity to admire the beautiful view over the Mirabello Bay and the Dicti Mountain. On arrival we have a panoramic sightseeing tour of Aghios Nikolaos, which not long ago was a small village but which now has grown into a large tourist resort. We shall see the busy harbour and the spectacular lake, of which the depth is unknown and which is in the centre of the town. Have a stroll through the narrow lanes near the harbour or perhaps sit and relax over a coffee around the colourful lake. We continue to Elounda driving on the elevated road high above Mirabello Bay and the crystal clear blue sea. At the charming fishing village of Elounda (famous from the TV-serial “Who pays the ferryman?’), you will have some free time for souvenir shopping, for a walk near the harbour and enjoy the view over Spinalonga island, a former leper colony. We return to the ship for lunch on board. HERAKLION In the afternoon you can join the tourleader for a walk from the port of Heraklion to the city centre to do some souvenir shopping. Return to the ship on your own. CATANIA Approximate duration: 3.5 hours. Stress level: 4 In the morning disembark and join your Maltese representative for a walk (about 20 minutes) to Catania centre to reach the lower part of Via Etnea. You shall be given some helpful tips to make your morning in Catania an enjoyable experience. You may visit the market for some good bargains or try one of the department stores. Alternatively continue the walk along the city’s major highlights – the Duomo, Piazza Elefante, Villa Bellini. Return to the ship in time to have a quick lunch onboard. TAORMINA Approximate duration: 4 hours. Stress level: 2 In the afternoon board your bus to drive along the eastern coast of Sicily passing through spectacular scenery, with the coast on the right and Mount Etna on the left until reaching the Taormina bus terminal. Visit the enchanting town with its medieval character and its many souvenir shop-lined streets and trattorias. Its natural drama is enhanced by the bold backdrop of Mt. Etna. Your walk takes you down narrow lanes, passing the Palazzo Corvaia. Afterwards we shall have time to wander along Corso Umberto, and if you wish even visit the town’s famous ancient theatre (entrance fee extra). Return to ship by bus. Notes: •Land visits include the assistance of an English speaking representative and road transportation (only where specifically indicated), and never include entrance fees or food. •During summer months expect extreme heat, crowded venues and long queues. We recommend that you dress light clothes (and appropriate clothes if visiting places of worship), wear comfortable shoes, a hat, sun-glasses and bring bottled water. •Stress levels ranges from 1 to 5 with 1 being the least stressful excursion and 5 the most stressful one. •Duration of sightseeing is approximate and includes the bus travelling time. •It is important to always be punctual and follow the instructions of the English speaking representative – buses cannot wait and late passengers have to make their own way to the ship.

Sightseeing -
Corsica, Monaco & Italy
ROME Approximate duration: 8.5 hours. Stress level: 1 (for transfer), 5 (for walk) Drive out of Civitavecchia, the port of Rome, to reach the capital around 90 minutes later. Today we offer you a transfer from Civitavecchia to Rome. The coach shall drop you at the Gianicolo Parking located near St. Peter’s Basilica (the Vatican City). You may either choose to just avail yourself of the transfer or take a strenuous walk around Rome with your Maltese representative. Rome offers an intriguing picture of the past and present. The Roman Forum, the Colosseum and the Pantheon conjure up scenes of the ancient imperial city. Then there is Christian Rome, where every church is a repository of sculptures and frescoes. The Vatican City within Rome is an intrinsic part of both artistic and historic Rome. If you have already been to Rome, you will no doubt want to return to revisit sights you have enjoyed or discover sights missed before. The amount of walking is at each guest’s discretion. If guests wish to visit St .Peter’s Basilica a strict dress code is enforced - short pants, tank tops and revealing clothing are not acceptable. FLORENCE Approximate duration: 9 hours. Stress level: 4 Upon disembarkation at Livorno board the coach for a 2-hour journey along the lovely Tuscan countryside en route to the historic jewel of Florence located on the banks of the Arno River. Upon arrival at the close-to-the-centre coach drop-off point, join your Maltese representative for a 20-minute walk to reach the proper city centre and either wander off on your own, or join your representative for an extensive walk along the major highlights – the Duomo, Baptistery, Giotto’s bell tower, Ponte Vecchio, Piazza della Signoria with its imposing Palazzo Vecchio, original seat of the government and the nearby Palazzo degli Uffizi with one of the most important collections of paintings in the world. Beyond the arts, Florence is also famous for shopping – souvenirs, artifacts, leatherwear and clothes, which can be found in its popular flea-markets, or high fashion design boutiques which line up the city’s central pedestrian streets and piazzas. NICE & EZE Approximate duration: 3.5 hours. Stress level: 3 Upon arrival at the Principality of Monaco disembark by tender and join your bus for a sightseeing trip to Nice and Eze. Start with a drive to the little, idyllic hilltop village of Eze. At Eze you will have the choice to visit the perfume factory or to walk up the steep cobblestone streets to the centre where the alluring medieval atmosphere will enchant you. Proceed back to the coast to the dazzling city of Nice that enjoys a privileged setting on the hill-framed curve of the Baie de Anges. Travel along the Promenade de Anglais, drive by the Russian Orthodox Church and take a walk around the fascinating old town with its maze of colourful narrow streets teeming with life – with its many little shops, cafes, and the large host of fish restaurants which make the city a truly Mediterranean culinary paradise. Drive back to Monaco along the breathtakingly scenic lower Corniche road to the principality and drive through the Monte Carlo district famous for its casino before arriving back to the ship for lunch. MONACO* Approximate duration: 1.5 hours. Stress level: 1 Monaco is one of the smallest independent states of the world. Early disembarkation by tender boats. Join the Maltese representative for a visit to the highlights of the Old Town which are very easy to explore on foot. Must-see landmarks are the cathedral where Prince Rainier and Grace Kelly got married and where they are now both buried, the exteriors of the Prince’s Palace with the guards and the Aquarium (entrance fee extra). Since the ship leaves late you may stay in town a bit longer or visit the casino and thus return on board later. THE GORGE OF PRUNELLI Approximate duration: 3 hours. Stress level: 2 Corsica is a land of rugged beauty. In the morning drive up to the Prunelli Gorges while admiring immensely varied landscape which changes dramatically from gardens and orchards to chestnut and pine trees; and from golden beaches lapped by blue waters to mountains of more than 2,000 meters. The road twists and turns to where we enter the gorges of the Prunelli River. Deep red granite cliffs plunge down into the second most important river in Ajaccio’s environs. At the end of the lake discover the artificial lake and dam of Tolla. Built to give Ajaccio hydroelectricity, it also provides many of the Corsican population with drinking water. Descend down the Mercujo Pass towards Ajaccio, passing through the small villages of Ocana and Bastelicaccia before returning to the ship for lunch. Please Note: There is approximately 800 metres optional walking (stress level 4) over uneven ground at Tolla Lake and Prunelli Gorges. Due to the steep, winding roads the excursion is not recommended to passengers suffering from vertigo. AJACCIO Approximate duration: 3 hours. Stress level: 3 Join your Maltese representative for a walking tour of Ajaccio, the capital of Corsica. On 15th August 1769 Napoleon Bonaparte was born in this town. From humble beginnings he went on to become Emperor of France. Street names, statues and monuments found throughout the ‘Imperial City’ are a legacy to Corsica’s most famous son. Predictably the main street is named “Cours Napoleon” and it is here that we start our walk. View some picturesque, narrow streets which take us past the cathedral where Napoleon was baptised, the birthplace – Casa Bonaparte, Ajaccio’s Town Hall and Market Square. Time for souvenir-hunting before returning back on board.

Terms & Conditions 1. TRAVEL CONFIRMATION Cruise packages featured in this brochure are organized by Orange Cruises/ (hereinafter OC) under the tour operating license of OC. Booking one of the packages implies the acceptance of the terms and conditions listed below. Orange Cruises is the only authorized sales agent for Tui Cruises in Malta. Accepting the booking request results in a travel contract between yourself and your travel agency. The travel confirmation contains the significant details of your booked services. Should the services in the travel confirmation differ from those in the booking then a new offer will be presented by OC In this case you have 7 days in which to accept the new offer. During this period the offer remains legally binding for OC. Should you accept the new offer in writing within 7 days then the travel contract will be completed on this basis. 2. PAYMENT A deposit of €700 per cabin must be effected in order to obtain a formal confirmation of your holiday. 3. TRAVEL DOCUMENTS Travel documents will be delivered approximately 2 weeks prior departure. If the due balance is not transferred to our account before the date of travel you are not authorised to travel, instead we may charge a cancellation fee as compensation according to point 6.1. OC is not obliged to accept a passenger if the balance payment has not been made before the date of travel. Travel documents are made available in form of e-docs. 4.SERVICES AND PRICES All prices published in the brochure are based in Euros and are per person sharing a cabin. Prices include: travel insurance, and all port and airport taxes and fuel surcharges applicable on the date of printing. In order to guarantee the lowest available prices you must make your reservation as early as possible. Once you have made your booking and paid the applicable deposit then the cost of your holiday cannot be increased except in the case ofsubstantial currency fluctuations or increase of any government taxes and/or fuel surcharges by the airline or the cruise company. 5. SERVICE & FARE CHANGES 5.1 Service Changes Alterations to the cruise itineraries are possible e.g. due to official regulations, particular shipping conditions, medical emergencies, or when, due to adverse weather conditions, the Captain decides to alter the route in the interest of the safety of the passengers. The Captain alone makes the decisions on necessary itinerary changes and/or travel times. 5.2 Such and similar individual service changes and deviations from the contractual contents of the travel contract, which become necessary after conclusion of contract and which were brought about contrary to good faith on behalf ofOC, are permitted so far as the changes and deviations are not considerable and do not impair the overall form of the holiday.OC is obliged to inform you of possible changes. The service changes replace the original contractual obligation. Eventual warranty claims will remain unaffected even if the service replacement is inadequate. Should such service changes make the overall form of the tour unacceptable to you, OC offers you the right to either change the booking or withdraw from the contract free of charge. You also have the right to request an equivalent alternative OC tour, provided OC is able to offer such a tour without additional expenses. You must assert your rights arising from contract changes or cancellations in writing and immediately following OC’s declaration of the changes. 5.3 Fare Changes In lawful circumstances and within legal scope, OC reserves the right to pass on any increases in the costs of transportation, taxes, and exchange rates, provided the date of travel does not fall within 21 days from departure. This is applicable exclusively for fare changes where cost factors were subject to unforeseeable changes after the conclusion of the contract. Significant and unpredictable reasons for a price increase are e.g. the increase in public dues, the increase in valueadded tax, changes in the world oil prices, changes in harbour dues, or, in particular cases, a more than 10% increase in the EURO vs. US-Dollar exchange rate. To the same extent an adjustment of the agreed travel fare is permitted should there be a change in the official passenger tariffs. As proof of the legitimacy of a price change, OC will provide certification of each cost and rate increase for you to check. In case of alterations of prices or services OC will contact you immediately but no later than 21 days prior to the scheduled sailing date. Increases after that date are not allowed. You have to assert your rights against OC immediately after OC has informed you about alterations of price. 6. CANCELLATION, BOOKING CHANGES, REPLACEMENTS AND NAME CHANGES 6.1 Cancellation through the passenger You can cancel your contract at any time before date of travel. As means of proof, cancellations should be made in writing. Your cancellation notice is effective upon receipt by OC Should you cancel your booking or not commence the holiday, OC. reserves the right to levy charges for made travel provisions and expenses incurred. When calculating the charges, OC takes into account the services saved and the possible other use of the services. OC may claim cancellation fees ex-
22
pressed as a percentage of the travel fare according to the amount of notice given between cancellation date and departure date, as listed below. Cancellation fees: Up to 340 days before: €100 per cabin 339 to 120 days: €700 per cabin 119 to 90 days: 25% of the total fare or €700 per cabin (whichever is higher) 89 to 60 days: 50% of the total fare or €700 (whichever is higher) 59 to 30 days: 75% of the total fare or €700 (whichever is higher) 29 days or less: 100% of the total fare or €700 (whichever is higher) 6.2 Booking Changes Your booking can be changed upon request and subject to availability (rebooking). This can be done until 60 days before date of travel. OC charges the sum of €50 rebooking fee per person. Should you wish to make a rebooking after 60 days before date of travel, then booking changes can only be made, if at all possible, by cancelling the travel contract under the conditions stated in 6.1 and rebooking. Any form of alteration made to the date of travel, destination or place of start, accommodation, the cabin or mode of transport is considered as a change. 6.3 Replacements Up to the date of travel i.e. taking into consideration a reasonable amount of time for organisational matters, you may demand that a third party takes over all rights and liabilities of your travel contract. OC reserves the right to decline the third party should he/she not meet the travel requirements or should there be legal restrictions or an official directive against his/her participation. Should a third party enter the contract then he/she and you are liable as co-debtors for the travel fare and the additional costs caused by the third party entering. 6.4 Name Changes At time of booking all passengers names need to be submitted to OC Names need to be congruent with the valid passenger passports. OC reserves the right to pass on the service charges of €50 per person for name changes after the option is confirmed. 6.5 Cancellation and rebooking fees are due immediately. 7. CANCELLATION IN EXTREME CIRCUMSTANCES 7.1 Cancellation prior to the date of travel Should travel be largely hindered, endangered or affected due to a force majeure (e.g. through war, natural disasters, government authority measures, transport embargos, ship loss or other similar incidents) which were not predictable at the time of conclusion of the contract, then both the passenger and OC may cancel the contract. In the event of OC cancelling the holiday prior to departure the passengers receive a refund of all sums paid to OC Otherwise no compensation shall be payable. 7.2 Cancellation after date of travel Should you cancel after the date of travel then the charges for return transport and other additional costs will be charged to you as traveller. 8. LIABILITY & LIMITATION OF LIABILITY 8.1 Tui Cruises’s contractual liability is limited to three times the travel fare for damages which are not personal injuries, as far as the damage was not caused by intention or gross negligence, or as far as OC alone is liable for the damage caused by default of a service provider. 8.2 OC is not liable for changes in political circumstances or entry regulations, making an entry to the country or destination difficult or impossible, provided these occur after the printing date of the brochure. In the event that it is necessary to make changes we will always try to advise you in advance, but this cannot be guaranteed. 8.3 Loss or damage to baggage: Loss or damage to baggage during embarkation or disebarkation must be reported. You are obliged to notify the relevant authority or an official agent thereof in writing. Should cabin baggage be noticeably damaged externally then you must submit written notice forthwith; at the latest by the time of disebarkation. Should other baggage, which has been handled or stored by the crew, be noticeably damaged externally then you must report this upon receipt of your baggage. Should you not fulfil these obligations then you are not entitled to make a claim. Passengers’ own carrying, storing and handling of baggage on board will always be at passengers‘ own risk. 9.WARRANTY 9.1 Remedy Should you, contrary to expectation, have grounds for complaint you can seek remedy. According to the law of warranty and the right of notice, you are obliged to report the deficiency forthwith on-site to the ship’s reception or an international hostess and then present OC with a time limit to provide a remedy, unless remedy is impossible or is refused by OC., OC can offer remedy by providing an equivalent replacement service as long as this is reasonable. Should OC offer you a
reasonable remedy then you are obliged to accept it. Should you refuse a reasonable offer you are no longer entitled to make warranty claims for inconveniences. If OC, contrary to obligation, does not succeed in providing a remedy within a given fair time limit then you may seek your own remedy. Hostesses or responsible travel staff are not authorised to recognise any claims, they may only confirm the registration of your complaints. Should you not fulfil this duty to cooperate by actual fault, then you will not be entitled to make a claim. 9.2 Claims & Time Limits Notice of any claim must be made to OC within 15 days following the travel termination as per contract.
