Pearls Of The Adriatic THE WALLED CITY OF DUBROVNIK & THE CROATIAN RIVIERA (Duration ca. 4.5 h)
Stress level 2 We begin with a scenic drive through the fertile Konavle Valley passing the Old Mill next to the cascading waters of the Ljuta River. We proceed to the enchanting seaside resort of Cavtat. Once a prosperous Greek and Roman colony, it is now more relaxed and charming. A picturesque drive returns you to the heart of Dubrovnik which is a city of unique beauty and harmony, spread out on the stone rocks and cliffs descending into the embrace of the sea and the waves. Nature has showered Dubrovnik with stunning beauty usually celebrated in poetry. The entire city is turned towards the sun and the sea, blazing with rich colors of the blossoming gardens and hot roofs. It is as if Dubrovnik is floating on the wide-open seas, accompanied by a proud escort of the eternally green islands and small isles. The main street is known as the Stradun. So many of the city’s attractions are right here, including several monasteries, and the elegant Venetian Gothic Sponza Palace, once the city’s custom house and notable for its fine courtyard columns and elaborate stone carvings. Dubrovnik’s famed symbol of freedom, a carved figure of an armoured knight, adorns the Orlando Column in a nearby square.
HIGHLIGHTS OF MONTENEGRO
(Duration ca. 5.0 h)
Stress level 2 (attention: very winding roads if you suffer from vertigo) Today’s tour follows a route that inspired Irish playwright George Bernard Shaw to proclaim ‘I have heard that the road to Cetinja via Kotor is one of the most beautiful in the world, and that is the reason I have come’. You too, will be mesmerised by the road’s natural beauty, as you pass majestic mountains on one side and a stunningly beautiful bay on the other. Cetinje was once the centre of the Montegrin rule under King Nikola. Later on we drive along a scenic road along the Budva Riviera, a resort area renowned for its beaches before returning to the old port city of Kotor to enjoy lunch on-board the Mein Schiff 2.
UNESCO TOWN OF KOTOR (Duration ca. 1.5 h)
Stress level 2 In the afternoon you will walk with the guide from the port to the centre of Kotor which boasts of Venetians architectural influences dating from the middle-ages and is surrounded by an impressive, well preserved city wall protected by UNESCO. Once in Kotor you will soon see why the town was deemed a World Heritage Site as it offers its visitors a remarkably well preserved town centre with important buildings such as the cathedral of Sveti Tripun. Enjoy the beautiful atmosphere of this true gem of town.
ALBEROBELLO
& THE UNESCO SITE OF THE TRULLI
8
Orange Travel Group 2013
Tui2013_bro.indd 8
(Duration ca. 4 h)
Stress level: 4 We drive through golden fields of grain and past gently undulating hills. And interspersed among all this verdant beauty, you will see the strange conical houses that exist only here. At first they appear one by one, like solitary mirages cowering amidst the olive trees. Gradually, as you drive on, they grow taller, and their whitewashed bases make them more visible. Soon you are spotting them in clusters of up to a dozen all attached to each other to make one larger dwelling. And then you drive into the little town of Alberobello, where they cover four entire hillsides. If this were California, Mr. Disney’s name would be visible on a neon sign. But it is Apulia, and these houses were first built many centuries ago by the local inhabitants and were declared a world heritage site by UNESCO in 1996. (Attention: This excursion includes a rather strenuous 20 minutes walk from the bus parking area to the centre of the Trulli)
12/09/2012 12:25:06
Your 7 Excursions Included CITY TOUR OF BARI
(Duration ca. 2.5 h)
Stress level: 4 This interesting tour of Bari gives you a chance to take a leisurely walk around the historical quarter of “Bari Vecchia” and its medieval architecture. We shall see the Basilica of St. Nicholas, which was built in honour of Bari’s patron saint. Founded towards the end of the 11th century A.D., the basilica has now been an important religious pilgrimage site for nearly a millennium. An exterior viewing of Bari’s old Norman castle is also on the tour itinerary. Later the bus will stop us near Corso Cavour and Via Manzoni which are good streets for shopping, as is Via Sparano, a pedestrian street lined with shops that runs between Piazza Aldo Moro (by the train station) and the old town, about a ten minute walk.
Corfu Old Town
Transfer to and city walk with guide
(ca. 3 hours)
Stress level: 4 Board our bus at the port of Corfu for a short drive to Corfu town. Join the English-speaking guide for an enjoyable walk through the old narrow alleys of the island capital. Over the centuries the town had many foreign influences. You will experience a taste of an Italian atmosphere on a Greek island. The Old Town, full of impressive mansions, invites you to stroll quietly through the narrow lanes and enjoy the impressive buildings built in Venetian style. During our tour, the following sites can be viewed : the Old Fortress, the Durrell Gardens, the Esplanade - one of the largest squares in Europe - and the elegant Liston. We proceed to see the Town Hall located in an impressive Venetian building, built at the end of the 17th century in carved stone from Sinia (a village to the north of Corfu Island. We return to our ship for lunch.
Island Tour Of Corfu
Half day including the Monastery of Paleokastritsa
Stress level : 3 From the port of Corfu it is a scenic 45-minute drive to Paleokastritsa, also known as “Corfu’s Capri” and one of the most beautiful resorts on the island with fine beaches, wooded hills and crystal-clear sheltered bays pierced by black rocks. According to mythology, Ulysses was shipwrecked here and arrived at this bay, where he met Nausica. Here you’ll visit Paleokastritsa’s venerable monastery and enjoy the peaceful atmosphere created by shady archways and lovely gardens. From here, a stop will be made at Kanoni, site of the old cannons and the magnificent view across the bay to the Nunnery of Vlacherna and Mouse Island. We return to Corfu Town where you have some free time for shopping before returning to the ship
Notes: •Land visits include the assistance of a local expert English speaking guide and road transportation. These excursions are organised by Orange Cruises and are the only official excursions apart from the excursions organised by TUI Cruises (which are in German only). Only buses of Orange Cruises and TUI Cruises have the authority to enter the port area and park close to the ship, and in the unlikely event that coaches are delayed on the return, the ship will be informed and action will be taken accordingly. •Excursions never include entrance fees. •During summer months expect extreme heat, crowded venues and long queues. We recommend that you dress light clothes (and appropriate clothes if visiting places of worship), wear comfortable shoes, a hat, sun-glasses and bring bottled water. •Stress levels ranges from 1 to 5 with 1 being the least stressful excursion and 5 the most stressful one. •Duration of sightseeing is approximate and includes the bus travelling time. •It is important to always be punctual and follow the instructions of the English speaking representative Orange Travel Group 2013 •Buses cannot wait and late passengers have to make their own way to the ship.

West Med Excursions CATANIA
Approximate duration: 4.0 hours. Stress level: 3 Today we encourage you to come and see Catania, a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 2002, and discover one of the most beautiful Baroque style towns in the world. Our buses shall be waiting for us near the ship and after leaving the port area our local English-speaking expert guides will show you Catania, a town known for its streets built with black lava stone from Mount Etna. We shall see Via Etnea, Via Crociferi, the Piazza Duomo and the “Liotru” statue, symbol of the city, the Roman Amphitheatre, the Opera House (external visit), the University, and the noble Palace of Biscari (external visit). The guide will show you two of the “Seven Doors” protecting S. Agatha’s treasure, the famous “candelora”. There will be some free time for shopping before the bus takes you back to the ship for lunch.
TAORMINA
Approximate duration: 4 hours. Stress level: 2 In the afternoon board your bus to drive along the eastern coast of Sicily passing through spectacular scenery, with the coast on the right and Mount Etna on the left until reaching the Taormina bus terminal. Our local guides will walk with you to the upper gate from where you can explore this enchanting town with its medieval character and its many souvenir shop-lined streets and trattorias. Its natural drama is enhanced by the bold backdrop of Mt. Etna. Your walk takes you down narrow lanes passing the Palazzo Corvaia reaching Piazza IX Aprile from where you can enjoy a birds-eye view of the coastline beneath.
ROME
Approximate duration: 8.0 hours. Stress level: 1 (for transfer), 5 (for walk) Board our buses close to the Mein Schiff 2 and drive out of the port of Civitavecchia to reach the capital around 90 minutes later. During the journey, your local English-speaking guide will give you some interesting facts and figures of Italy and Rome. The bus will pass near the mighty Roman Colosseum and other historical buildings and piazzas before arriving at the Via della Conciliazione located near St. Peter’s Basilica in the Vatican City. Here you have free time to enter St. Peter’s Basilica (on your own - guests who wish to visit St .Peter’s Basilica pls note: a strict dress code is enforced - short pants, tank tops and revealing clothing are not allowed). Afterwards meet the guide again and join a most interesting walk ending in Piazza del Popolo. This walk offers an intriguing picture of the past and present, where every church is a repository of sculptures and frescoes. We cross the River Tevere and walk along Via Corsa, stopping at Piazza di Spagna facing the Spanish Steps. We continue to the famous Fontana di Trevi and eventually finish at the Grand Piazza del Popolo. (Those clients who prefer to stay near the Vatican can do so and will be picked up at the Via della Conciliazione). We return by bus to our ship in the afternoon.
NICE & EZE
Approximate duration: 3.5 hours. Stress level: 3 Upon arrival at the Principality of Monaco disembark by tender. We drive to the little, idyllic hilltop village of Eze. At Eze you will have the choice to visit the perfume factory or to walk (strenuous) up the steep cobblestone streets to the centre where the alluring medieval atmosphere will enchant you. Once you are back on the bus, our local guides will point out to you the homes of the rich and famous living along the coast leading to the dazzling city of Nice which enjoys a privileged setting on the hill-framed curve of the Baie de Anges. We drive along the Promenade de Anglais after which we leave the bus and you join the guide for a walk around the fascinating old town with its maze of colourful narrow streets teeming with life – with its many little shops. We return to the ship in time for dinner.

MONACO - WALKING TOUR
Approximate duration: 2 hours. Stress level: 2 After dinner you join our local guide for a walking tour of Monaco, which is one of the smallest independent states in the world. You will take the escalators to reach the historic Old Town and enjoy the must-see landmarks including the cathedral where Prince Rainier and Grace Kelly got married and where they are now both buried, the exteriors of the Prince’s Palace with the guards and the Aquarium. Our guides will give you an insight into ‘living in Monaco’ which is like no other country in the world. From the bastions you have a birds-eye view over Monaco/Monte Carlo and for the F1 enthusiasts it is easy to recognise the streets where the Grand Prix of Monaco takes place every year.
THE GORGE OF PRUNELLI
Approximate duration: 3.5 hours. Stress level: 2 Your local guide will welcome you aboard the bus for a fascinating excursion showing you a bit of Corsica, a land of rugged beauty. We drive up to the Prunelli Gorges while admiring immensely varied landscape which changes dramatically from gardens and orchards to chestnut and pine trees; and from golden beaches lapped by blue waters to mountains of more than 2,000 meters. The road twists and turns to where we enter the gorges of the Prunelli River. Deep red granite cliffs plunge down into the second most important river in Ajaccio’s environs. We stop at the lake and dam of Tolla. Built to give Ajaccio hydroelectricity, it also provides most of the Corsican population with drinking water. Descend down the Mercujo Pass towards Ajaccio, passing through small villages before returning to the ship for lunch. (Due to the steep, winding roads the excursion is not recommended to passengers suffering from vertigo)
WALKING TOUR OF AJACCIO
Approximate duration: 2 hours. Stress level: 3 Join your local Corsican guide for a walking tour of Ajaccio, the capital of Corsica. On 15th August 1769 Napoleon Bonaparte was born in this town. From humble beginnings he went on to become Emperor of France. Street names, statues and monuments found throughout the ‘Imperial City’ are a legacy to Corsica’s most famous son. Predictably the main street is named “Cours Napoleon” and it is here that we start our walk. View some picturesque, narrow streets which take us past the cathedral where Napoleon was baptised, the birthplace – Casa Bonaparte, Ajaccio’s Town Hall and Market Square. At the end of the tour you will have some time for souvenir-hunting before returning to the ship.
•Excursions never include entrance fees (or food in the case of the Rome excursion as it is too far to return to the ship for lunch). •It is important to always be punctual and follow the instructions of the English speaking representative •Buses cannot wait and late passengers have to make their own way to the ship. Restaurants*
Excellent food is usually one of the strongest selling points of a cruise and the Mein Schiff 2 comes out as a clear winner in this area. The selection of food is astounding but what is more important, the quality and the freshness of all the food served, whether in the waiter served restaurants or the self service ones, is simply out of this world. For example, in the Anckelmannsplatz Buffet-Restaurant, which is huge and offers a display of food that seems to be interminable, the food is freshly cooked, some of it right in front of you. The choice of meat, cheeses, salads and side dishes leaves you breathless. The Atlantik Restaurant, which is the main restaurant, is waiter served and offers the very best of fine cuisine. The service is impeccable and the food delicious. Just sitting there absorbing the atmosphere already promises a night to remember forever. Also included in the TUI Cruises Premium All Inclusive Concept are the GOSCH Sylt, for the seafood lovers, and the Bistro La Vela, which offers pasta and pizza prepared right in front of you, always fresh and tasty. Then there is the Cliff 24 Grill, which according to its name is a grill which is open 24 hours, for those people who feel peckish in the early hours of morning. For your comfort and maximum enjoyment there are no fixed seatings and timings on board the Mein Schiff 2, so you can sit in whichever restaurant you want at whichever time it pleases you. Just relax and enjoy the moment in whatever you are doing and feel free to go to any restaurant of your choice (according to the restaurant opening hours) at your complete convenience. The Mein Schiff 2 is the cruise liner you have been dreaming of. You will understand why it is named ‘My Ship’, because you will feel it is indeed yours. *Speciality Restaurants with surcharge Richards - Fine Dining Steakhouse Surf & Turf Blaue Welt Bar Sushi

Booking one of the packages implies the acceptance of the terms and conditions listed below. Orange Travel Group is the only authorized sales agent for TUI Cruises in Malta. Accepting the booking request results in a travel contract between yourself and your travel agency. The travel confirmation contains the significant details of your booked services. Should the services in the travel confirmation differ from those in the booking then a new offer will be presented by OTG. In this case you have 7 days in which to accept the new offer. During this period the offer remains legally binding for OTG. Should you accept the new offer in writing within 7 days then the travel contract will be completed on this basis. 2. PAYMENT A deposit of €700 per cabin must be effected in order to obtain a formal confirmation of your holiday. 3. TRAVEL DOCUMENTS Travel documents will be delivered approximately 2 weeks prior departure. If the due balance is not transferred to our account by LATEST 75 days prior departure your booking may be cancelled and instead we may charge you a cancellation fee as compensation according to point 6.1. OTG is not obliged to accept a passenger if the balance payment has not been received on the due dates. Travel documents are made available in form of e-docs. 4.SERVICES AND PRICES All prices published in the brochure are based in Euros and are per person sharing a cabin. Prices include: all port taxes and fuel surcharges applicable on the date of printing. No travel insurance is included in the price and we strongly recommend that you insure yourself the moment you pay the deposit. In order to guarantee the lowest available prices you must make your reservation as early as possible. Should you cancel your booking or not commence the holiday, OTG reserves the right to levy charges for made travel provisions and expenses incurred. When calculating the charges, OTG takes into account the services saved and the possible other use of the services. OTG may claim cancellation fees expressed as a percentage of the travel fare according to the amount of notice given between cancellation date and departure date, as listed below. Cancellation fees: Up to 340 days before: €100 per cabin 339 to 120 days: €700 per cabin 119 to 90 days: 25% of the total fare or €700 per cabin (whichever is higher) 89 to 60 days: 50% of the total fare or €700 (whichever is higher) 59 to 30 days: 75% of the total fare or €700 (whichever is higher) 29 days or less: 100% of the total fare or €700 (whichever is higher) 6.2 Booking Changes Your booking can be changed upon request and subject to availability (rebooking). This can be done until 60 days before date of travel. OTG charges the sum of €50 rebooking fee per person. Should you wish to make a rebooking less than 60 days before date of travel, then booking changes can only be made, if at all possible, by cancelling the travel contract under the conditions stated in 6.1 and rebooking. Any form of alteration made to the date of travel, destination or place of start, accommodation, the cabin or mode of transport is considered as a change. 6.3 Replacements Up to the date of travel i.e. taking into consideration a reasonable amount of time for organisational matters, you may demand that a third party takes over all rights and liabilities of your travel contract. OTG reserves the right to decline the third party should he/she not meet the travel requirements or should there be legal restrictions or an official directive against his/her participation. Should a third party enter the contract then he/she and you are liable as codebtors for the travel fare and the additional costs caused by the third party entering.
5. SERVICE & FARE CHANGES 5.1 Service Changes Alterations to the cruise itineraries are possible e.g. due to official regulations, particular shipping conditions, medical emergencies, or when, due to adverse weather conditions, the Captain decides to alter the route in the interest of the safety of the passengers. The Captain alone makes the decisions on necessary itinerary changes and/or travel times.
6.4 Name Changes At time of booking all passengers names need to be submitted to OTG. Names need to be congruent with the valid passenger passports. OTG reserves the right to pass on the service charges of €50 per person for name changes after the option is confirmed.
5.2 Such and similar individual service changes and deviations from the contractual contents of the travel contract, which become necessary after conclusion of contract and which were brought about contrary to good faith on behalf of OTG, are permitted so far as the changes and deviations are not considerable and do not impair the overall form of the holiday. OTG is obliged to inform you of possible changes. The service changes replace the original contractual obligation. Eventual warranty claims will remain unaffected even if the service replacement is inadequate. Should such service changes make the overall form of the cruise unacceptable to you, OTG offers you the right to either change the booking or withdraw from the contract free of charge. You also have the right to request an equivalent alternative OTG cruise, provided OTG is able to offer such a cruise without additional expenses. You must assert your rights arising from contract changes or cancellations in writing and immediately following OTG’s declaration of the changes.
7. In the event of OTG cancelling the holiday prior to departure, the passengers receive a refund of all sums paid to OTG. No other compensation shall be paid.
5.3 Fare Changes In lawful circumstances and within legal scope, OTG reserves the right to pass on any increases in the costs of transportation, taxes and exchange rates, provided the date of travel does not fall within 21 days from departure. This is applicable exclusively for fare changes where cost factors were subject to unforeseeable changes after the conclusion of the contract. Significant and unpredictable reasons for a price increase are e.g. the increase in public dues, the increase in value-added tax, changes in the world oil prices, changes in harbour dues, or, in particular cases, a more than 10% increase in the EURO vs. US-Dollar exchange rate. To the same extent an adjustment of the agreed travel fare is permitted should there be a change in the official passenger tariffs. As proof of the legitimacy of a price change, OTG will provide certification of each cost and rate increase for you to check. In case of alterations of prices or services OTG will contact you immediately but no later than 21 days prior to the scheduled sailing date. Increases after that date are not allowed. You have to assert your rights against OTG immediately after OTG has informed you about alterations of price. 6. In the event that it is necessary to make changes we will always try to advise you in advance, but this cannot be guaranteed. 8.3 Loss or damage to baggage: Loss or damage to baggage during embarkation or disembarkation must be reported. 9.WARRANTY 9.1 Remedy Should you, contrary to expectation, have grounds for complaint you can seek remedy. According to the law of warranty and the right of notice, you are obliged to report the deficiency forthwith on-site first to our onboard tourleader and then to the ship’s reception or an international hostess. You must present OTG with a time limit to provide a remedy, unless remedy is impossible or is refused by OTG. OTG can offer remedy by providing an equivalent replacement service as long as this is reasonable. Should OTG offer you a reasonable remedy then you are obliged to accept it. Should you refuse a reasonable offer you are no longer entitled to make warranty claims for inconveniences. If, contrary to obligation, OTG does not succeed in providing a remedy within a given fair time limit then you may seek your own remedy. Hostesses or responsible travel staff are not authorised to recognise any claims. They may only confirm the registration of your complaints. Should you not fulfil this duty to cooperate by actual fault, then you will not be entitled to make a claim. 9.2 Claims & Time Limits Notice of any claim must be made to OTG within 15 days following the travel termination as per contract. Claims that reach us without documentation will not be processed. 10. PASSPORT, VISA, CUSTOMS, CURRENCY AND HEALTH REQUIREMENTS OTG is responsible for making sure that citizens of Malta where the cruise is offered are informed of passport, visa and health requirements and possible changes thereof prior to starting the journey. OTG may delegate this instruction to the travel agent. Citizens of other countries, please check passport, visa and any other entry requirements with your own country’s embassy. In doing so OTG assumes that there are no peculiarities in the customer itself and potential fellow travellers (e.g. dual citizenship, statelessness). The customer is responsible for obtaining and entrainment of required documents, potential mandatory vaccination as well as compliance of customs and exchange control regulations. Inconveniences that might accrue from non-compliance of these regulations e.g. payment of cancellation fees are for your account. 11. In all ports of call you must return to the ship no less than one hour before the scheduled departure time. Please consider that shipboard and shoreside clocks may have different times, but it is the guest‘s responsibility to return to the ship so as not to miss the ship‘s departure.
