Arlene & Herbert Schwab purchased land on Route 31 in 1953, later known as Schwab Farm, to sell fresh fruit and vegetables. They had ten children who helped out through the years. Later, some went out to explore different opportunities.
Being a family-owned and -operated business, Schwab's is run by Kent & Donna today. After years of hard work, Sharon decided to take retirement and spend time with her husband and family, traveling. Schwab farm is still going strong with partners Kent Schwab and Donna Goldhawk. They now have a full line of deli meats, cheeses, frozen items, candies, jams & jellies, honey, maple syrup, fresh-baked goods daily, homemade pies, cookies, breads, rolls, muffins and coffee cakes. They also grow many specialty fruits and vegetables
