Kästle is a highly specialized Austrian ski manufacturer based in Hohenems/Austria. The company has helped shape the development of skiing through continuous innovation since 1924. Today, Kästle focuses on freeride, freestyle, allmountain and ski-tour skis. The ski manufacturer’s biggest markets are the USA, Austria, followed by France, Switzerland, and Norway.

THE CHALLENGE Kästle was looking for a logistics partner to manage the global transport of the sensitive products. The important thing here is that there should only be one contact for the entire supply chain. The challenge: ● Highest customer demands concerning time and quality ● Reliable handling of the flow of goods around the world, even in case of seasonal fluctuations, common in the ski industry ● Offering flexibility in respect of the continuous further development of the product range

THE SOLUTION The logistics concept comprised setting up a central warehouse in Wels (AT) and then establishing an additional warehouse location in Chicago. The services at a glance: ● Handling all transportation and logistics for Kästle: 16,000 skiers including ties and accessories every year
● Combining efficient means of transport and the timely, reliable delivery of all products ● Paperless picking, Track & Trace, shipment information for the customer ● Customized delivery boxes making the transport more secure, more efficient and more valuable for the customer
