Babergh District Council Chair, Cllr Malvisi, said “The Stour Valley Men’s Shed is going from strength to strength, but there is still a lot to do like making it watertight for this winter, which is why I hope the funds raised will go some way toward that goal.”
“This past year I have got to know many of the members, and they have left me feeling very humbled at their achievements. I have been honoured to help them.”
Stour Valley Men’s Shed Chairman, Adrian Beckham, said: “I would like to express on behalf of all at the SVMS our thanks and gratitude for all the help and advice we have received.

Writing from the Rectory
May proved to be an extraordinarily busy month, and one where I found myself doing so many of the roles that you might envisage your archetypal Rector engaging in. In one week alone I found myself presiding over two baptisms, a wedding, a funeral, hosting a garden party and running Alpha – our questions and answers series held at
sure to many of you who do not go to church – and many who do – you might see Sunday as the vicar’s busiest day and ‘hatchings, matchings and dispatchings’ as the main tasks beyond running a service. Very rarely nowadays, do those traditional roles all come together in one week, as much more time is spent – as with many in work – on emails, calls, WhatsApp etc in the ordinary day to day business of running an organisation and maintaining buildings. What a joy and a privilege to spend more time with families and individuals
If you are wondering what goes on in your local church, why not take
