2011 FIXTURES & ADMISSION GUIDE

A Day at the Races... We are delighted to offer something for everyone within our racing calendar, with a range of themed afternoon and evening meetings as well as the glamorous Hamilton Park Super Six. Racing is key to everything we do at Hamilton Park, and we strive to continue to bring top class competition to Lanarkshire with the Lanark Silver Bell Handicap sure to be one of the season’s highlights in August. The first of our Listed races, The Braveheart Stakes, takes centre stage on Braveheart Night in May whilst the Totepool Glasgow Stakes has a new home on Thursday 14th July which will be the first day of our two day meeting with John Smith’s Fair Friday. Both are sure to attract some of the most famous names in racing and are events not to be missed. We are also delighted to bring something new by hosting fantastic live shows on our September holiday fixture from children’s favourites – Bob the Builder with Wendy and Spud as well as Fifi Forget-Me-Not and her friend Bumble. There will be shows before and after racing and there will also be the chance for the children to meet the characters! Despite the rise in VAT, we have held our admission prices from 2010 across all areas including Annual and Seasonal membership

which offer the biggest discount when visiting Hamilton Park on a regular basis. All under 16’s that are accompanied by an adult come racing FREE and with Family Days and Nights across the season, providing activities for all ages, these events are perfect for a family outing.

Super Six Racemeetings The Hamilton Park Super Six are just that, the top six racemeetings of the year. Excitement, glamour and speed combine on these popular fixtures as everyone enjoys the entertainment both on and off the track. Choose between Grandstand or the Club enclosure to give you the best view of the action on track, and be sure to check out the Parade Ring before and after each race to really soak up the atmosphere. The Lanark Silver Bell Racenight moves to a new date in August and this fantastic racenight is going to be completed with a great line up of top tribute artists performing live after the last race including Take That 2, Absolute Kylie and Anthony Edwards as Michael Jackson. For a list of full fixtures and ticket prices go to page 11.

After a successful 2010, including the sell out success of JLS Live at Hamilton Park, we are delighted to have been awarded the Lanarkshire Business Excellence Award for Tourism and Leisure. 2

useful information WHICH ENCLOSURE? For our Super Six meetings there are two choices. The Club, which you can enjoy for the day overlooks the Winning Post and gives you exclusive access to the Dukes and the Racing UK Bars as well as Silks, our ever popular Champagne Bar overlooking the Club Lawn and Winning Post. The Grandstand, which as the name suggests, gives you access to the main grandstand, and also the betting ring and Tote betting, as well as viewing at the Parade Ring and Winners Enclosure. It offers a variety of food and bar outlets. All other meetings offer a single enclosure with access to all public areas around the grounds. WHAT TO WEAR? We do not have a dress code, although football colours are not encouraged. We like our racegoers to be happy and comfortable. On Fake Bake Ladies’ Night and Cash for Kids Night racegoers are able to really enjoy dressing up and wear hats or fascinators if they choose. Ladies’ Night will be all about the fashion - with competitions for the best dressed lady on the evening. Although there is lots of grass around, there are also plenty of paths, so high heels are not a problem. PARKING There is free parking in the main public car park for all meetings. There is also a Club Car Park for label holders, Annual Members, Owners, Trainers and Jockeys. On busier days/evenings, there is overflow parking at Hamilton College and Caird Street. DISABLED FACILITIES Special viewing areas, parking, toilets and a lift are provided in both the Grandstand and Club enclosures. We also have a portable induction loop which can be requested at the racecourse office.

Ideal for parties of 10 or less the Dukes Restaurant is situated on the first floor of the Grandstand, offering amazing panoramic views of the track through its floor to ceiling glass windows. Tables in the Dukes Restaurant are only available on a pre-booked basis. THE CONSERVATORY BISTRO AND BAR The Conservatory Bistro and Bar looks out over the Paddock Lawns and is the ideal place for the family to relax and enjoy a range of freshly prepared food and hot and cold drinks whilst taking in the day’s events. We have also introduced a children’s soft play area for the under 4’s. Racing UK Bar The Racing UK Bar is situated in the Club enclosure. This is the ideal bar to take in the action on the big screen or simply drop in for a quick drink between races! 8
