This season we’re continuing to break new ground by not only offering one of the most diverse programmes of racing and entertainment but also now providing free customer Wi-Fi access across the grounds – making us the first in Scotland and the first small independent racecourse in the UK to offer such a service. Throughout the summer, we have a range of themed afternoon and evening meetings including the famous Super Six, where first class racing and entertainment come together for the ultimate event experience. We’re under starter’s orders for the opening day of the season on Sunday 3rd May with our Festival of Food & Drink Raceday which sees the return of

The SPECTACULAR Super Six The Super Six are set to be bigger than ever this year with more prize money up for grabs on the track and more reasons to come racing off it. Alea Casino Ladies’ Night is set to be one of the highlights and we’ll be welcoming TV heart throb Mark Wright, who we’re sure will set hearts racing with his DJ set after racing. Check out page 7 to find out how you could meet Mark on the night, not to mention win the £1,000 cash up for grabs in our Best Dressed Lady competition. Another must event is Saints & Sinners 50th

Anniversary in June, where Britain’s Got Talent winners and album chart toppers Collabro will be headlining the entertainment – it’s set to be a historic night not to be missed! We then have our Summer Racenight on Saturday 11th July where we will be welcoming singing sensations and TV celebrities Sam Bailey and Jake Quickenden who will be performing on stage after a fantastic evening’s racing. The Super Six are completed by our three Friday nights, where the racing action really is the star of the show. Braveheart Night in May, John Smith’s Fair Friday in July and Ladbrokes Lanark Silver Bell in August offer up an incredible £220,000 in prize money which is sure to attract racing’s finest, as well as live music into the night. Celebrity chef James Martin returns to get the 2015 season of to a ‘sizzling’ start this May Bank Holiday weekend. We’ve got some top class racing action on the track with nearly £80,000 worth of prize money up for grabs. We’re also delighted to be welcoming James back to take us through some more fantastic cookery demonstrations and top tips throughout the afternoon. Top this off with an array of free children’s activities including face painting and laser quest and it’s the perfect day out for all the family!

This is a Saturday night that’s bound to be all-wright with TV heartthrob Mark Wright set to be the star attraction at this year’s Ladies’ Night. We’ll be combining the heart racing action on the track with a heady cocktail of fillies, fashion, fizz and fun – making this THE event to be at this summer. Our ever popular Best Dressed Lady competition will be hosted this year by Capital FM’s Des and Jenni. We’re giving you the chance to take to the catwalk and show off your finest outfit and win some fantastic prizes, including £1,000 cash to the winner on the night. Top quality racing is the focus of our last evening meeting of the season with the historic Lanark Silver Bell the highlight of a fantastic night’s racing. This will be the eighth running of the Lanark Silver Bell Handicap at Hamilton Park and the trophy itself is believed to be the Oldest Sporting Trophy in existence and dates back to 1165 when it was gifted to the people of Lanark by King William ‘The Lion’. We will also be presenting the Ladbrokes Lanark Silver Bell trophy, commissioned and presented for the first time in 2012. We’re closing out our evening meetings with the welcomed return of legendary DJ George Bowie for an energy filled set of GBX Anthems.

Away from the on course action, we’ve got a fantastic stage show before and after racing, where you can sing along to your favourite Disney Frozen songs with the Princesses and the Happy Snowman. We’ve got some great themed crafts to get involved with or even get your picture taken with one of our Superheroes or the Princesses themselves.

If you’re looking for something to eat on the move then we have a variety of concessions available depending on the event. The BBQ is open for every racemeeting and serves homemade, locally produced beef burgers from Overton Farm right here in Lanarkshire.

THE CONSERVATORY CAFé BAR

The Conservatory Café Bar looks out over the Paddock Lawns and is the ideal place for the family to relax and enjoy a range of freshly prepared food and hot and cold drinks whilst taking in the day’s events. We have a children’s soft play area for the under 4’s.

DUKES, panorama AND BRAVEHEART BARS The main public bars in the grandstand at the racecourse are the Dukes, Panorama Bar and the Braveheart Bar. Dukes and Panorama overlook the track and are ideal to grab a drink between taking in the live action. Braveheart Bar is situated on the paddock side of the grandstand and incorporates the on course betting shop. We also have a number of other bar facilities that are open around the course at various times. Racing UK Bar

The Racing UK Bar is situated in the grandstand, near the winning post. This is the ideal bar to take in the action on the big screen or simply drop in for a quick drink between races!

WHAT TO WEAR to the races

We do not have a dress code, although football colours are not encouraged. We like our racegoers to be happy and comfortable. On Ladies’ Night and Saints & Sinners Racenight racegoers are able to really enjoy dressing up and wear hats or fascinators if they choose. Ladies’ Night will be all about the fashion - with competitions for the best dressed lady on the evening. Although there is lots of grass around, there are also plenty of paths, so high heels are not a problem.

There is free parking in the main public car park for all meetings. There is also the Dukes car park for label holders, Annual Members, Owners, Trainers and Jockeys. On busier days/evenings, there is overflow parking at Hamilton College and Caird Street.

Direct trains are available from Glasgow Central whilst trains from Edinburgh Waverley service Motherwell with onward connections to Hamilton. BY CAR FROM THE WEST: M74 leave at Junction 5, at the roundabout take the Hamilton exit and follow brown signs for Hamilton Park Racecourse.
