This season will see a massive £2m investment in enhancements to the race programme and upgrades to the grandstand, covering Duke’s Bar & Restaurant, Panorama Bar and The Hill, our new upmarket bar and eatery – all of which have been re-imagined and upgraded to improve your Hamilton Park experience. On the track we have reviewed our entire 18 fixture race programme, and for the first time we have increased overall prize money to nearly £1.2 million. We believe that this will help us continue to welcome some of the finest horses, jockeys and trainers in the sport to Hamilton Park and in turn ensure that your visit to us is a memorable one that you will only wish to repeat. We open the gates for the season on Sunday 7th May with a fantastic day of great racing and family fun. As ever we’re topping and tailing this season with family friendly fixtures with lots of FREE children’s entertainment, to go with our FREE admission for under 18’s across the whole season.

everyone, kicking off with our Highland Show themed event on 15th July, a perfect event for the whole family that will feature fan favourites Reggie N Bollie, Honey G, Ryan Lawrie and Little Mix Magic alongside fantastic free kids’ activities. It’s then onto Ladies’ Night on 5th August – the most glamorous event of the calendar at Hamilton Park, with it being revealed that Superstar DJ and presenter Marvin Humes will join 2016 X Factor winner Matt Terry and Jake Quickenden in performing at the showpiece event. For the music lovers out there we have our Music Festival Racenight on 2nd September, where a fantastic line up of live bands will entertain the crowds before and after racing. This event takes place a few weeks earlier than last year with artists due to be announced over the coming weeks.

Our Premier 5 fixtures, including the opening day, feature top class entertainment and some of the finest racing in Scotland. Saints & Sinners Racenight in June will feature chart-topping duo Brian McFadden and Keith Duffy with their Boyzlife show and is sure to be an evening not to be missed!

The parenting Holy Grail will be achieved this summer with our ultimate family day out. Mums and dads can earn some serious brownie points with the kids by treating them to a thrilling day full of action-packed activities, tons of fun, and some X-traordinary superstar guests to raise the excitement level to fever pitch. X Factor stars Reggie N Bollie, Honey G and Ryan Lawrie will take to the stage alongside premier tribute band Little Mix Magic. The all-star line-up will offer show-stopping performances during the event, keeping the party atmosphere going from 12 noon until late for kids and adults alike. As well as busting a move and singing along to their favourite hits, families can enjoy a host of super cool Highland Show activities that kids big and small will love, with themed ‘zones’ created to keep the fun going all day long. Highlights will include a petting zoo, pony rides, laser tag, bungee trampolines and a host of family-friendly games, including a coconut shy, hoopla, beat the goalie and Denver’s Den. Clydesdale Horses and the Mordor Gun Dogs will be in attendance on the day, and visitors can also enjoy live falconry, sheep and duck herding, wood carving, a gauntlet assault course and a display of farming and road vehicles. Fantastic racing is the focus of our last Friday evening meeting of the season with the historic Lanark Silver Bell the highlight of a great night’s racing. This will be the tenth running of the Lanark Silver Bell Handicap at Hamilton Park and the trophy itself is believed to be the Oldest Sporting Trophy in existence, dating back to 1165 when it was gifted to the people of Lanark by King William ‘The Lion’. We will also be presenting the Ladbrokes Lanark Silver Bell trophy, commissioned and presented for the first time in 2012 and won by 20/1 shot Multellie in 2016. Away from the track we’ll kick off the evening with the SPFL Mascots race, won last year by Greenock Mortons’ Cappie the Cat. Our very own mascot The Duke, will be hoping to regain his title when he makes another guest appearance this year. Duke’s and Panorama Bars provide amazing views of the racing action from exclusive high street style bars, designed to enhance your Hamilton Park experience. Duke’s Restaurant offers some of the finest hospitality in the industry and is only available by pre-booking on 01698 206474. Braveheart Bar is situated on the paddock side of the grandstand and incorporates the on course betting shop. WHAT TO WEAR TO THE RACES We do not have a dress code, although football colours are not encouraged. We like our racegoers to be happy and comfortable. On Ladies’ Night and Saints & Sinners Racenight racegoers are able to really enjoy dressing up and wear hats or fascinators if they choose. Ladies’ Night will be all about the fashion - with competitions for the best dressed lady on the evening. Although there is lots of grass around, there are also plenty of paths, so high heels are not a problem.

PARKING AT THE RACECOURSE There is free parking in the main public car park for all meetings. There is also the Duke’s car park for label holders, Annual Members, Owners, Trainers and Jockeys. On busier days/evenings, there is overflow parking at Hamilton College and Caird Street.
DISABLED FACILITIES Special viewing areas, parking, toilets and a lift are provided with access recommended via the Duke’s entrance. We also have a portable induction loop which can be requested at the racecourse office.
