A New Era Massive £2million Investment Awaits Images are creative impressions only and may vary from the final furnishings

in the 2017 Season

Chief Executive Vivien Currie looks ahead to the 2017 season

The place to be seen this summer Hamilton Park Racecourse executive has heralded the dawn of a new era for the premier Lanarkshire venue with two significant programmes of investment – on and off the track both set to make the racecourse the place to be seen in 2017. The team is delighted to confirm the prize money pot at Hamilton Park Racecourse has reached a new record total of almost £1.2million – breaking the £1million mark for the first time in history. The news comes as plans are also unveiled for a bold investment of over £800,000 to re-imagine the grandstand restaurant and bar facilities as well as the private hospitality boxes. Both announcements will see Hamilton Park Racecourse lead the way as a sports and entertainment venue whilst enhancing its racing credentials as it aims to attract leading racehorse owners and top horses in the years ahead. Vivien Currie, Chief Executive at Hamilton Park Racecourse, said: “This is a very exciting time at Hamilton Park Racecourse. We are already a truly unique asset for Scotland and a valuable part of the Lanarkshire community however this investment ensures our facilities not only lead the way, but are unrivalled in

Scottish sport and are in line with the kind of high-end experience we wish to deliver for the general and race-going public. “We will never stand still at Hamilton Park, as a venue and a business we continually strive to improve the raceday experience for our customers and the wider community and this landmark programme of improvements reflect that ethos.” Breaking the £1million prize money mark has been an aspiration of the Board for some time and the increase, alongside the significant refurbishment work, means Hamilton Park Racecourse is on track for their biggest and best season yet. As racegoers get set to flock back to Hamilton Park for the season, they can look forward to an incredible calendar of action with a range of fixtures to suit everyone’s taste. The Super Saturdays series, including Ladies’ Night and the Music Festival make a return as do firm favourites Braveheart Night, Saints & Sinners Racenight, John Smith’s Mid-Fair Friday and Ladbrokes Lanark Silver Bell Racenight.

Record-breaking Prize Money On the track this year’s prize pot will increase by over £172,000 to £1,166,400 – a 15% rise on 2016, while all fixtures at Hamilton Park

will be worth £50,000 and above with no individual race worth less than £5,000. Vivien said: “Our increased prize money, inline with the game-changing improvements to our facilities, ensures we will continue to deliver an improved raceday experience for owners and customers.” The extensive re-modelling project will see the whole of the grandstand first floor transformed with full renovations taking place across the Duke’s Bar and Restaurant, Panorama Bar and the Conservatory Café – which is being re-modelled as an upmarket bar and eatery and will be looking for a new name in keeping with its new image and offering. Duke’s Bar and Restaurant will be completely transformed with new flooring, new wall and ceiling decor and contemporary furniture. The stunning new dining room will also be extended to comfortably seat 160 guests, Continued on p2

Welcome to our fantastic 2017 season where we find ourselves at the beginning of a new era here at Hamilton Park as we break new ground in the racecourse’s history. Over the winter months the team have been working hard to ensure that this season is better than ever before, both on and off the track. A big part of that work has been a major refurbishment programme in the grandstand, covering Duke’s Bar & Restaurant, Panorama Bar and what was the Conservatory Café – All of which have been reimagined and upgraded to reflect our customers’ ever evolving expectations. In addition our private boxes have received a much needed facelift and will now offer a more modern, executive environment for you to entertain your guests, each featuring a unique piece of racing artwork created specifically for us by Crossford-based artist Garth Bailey. On the track we have reviewed our entire race programme, and for the first time in the racecourse’s history we have increased overall prize money to nearly £1.2 million. We believe that this will help us continue to welcome some of the finest horses, jockeys and trainers in the sport to Hamilton Park and in turn ensure that your visit to us is a memorable one that you will only wish to repeat. I hope you enjoy reading more about our new season and I look forward to welcoming you to one of our events as we take the HPR experience to another level.

The Panorama Bar will also undergo a complete refit with an all new bar area, flooring, furniture, fixtures and fittings providing a slick and stylish space for guests. The Conservatory Café will be extensively transformed to create a family friendly bar and eatery with a brand new outdoor serving area which will offer guests the chance to grab a bite to eat and drink while enjoying stunning views across the parade ring and lawns. Vivien added: “This is a significant project which will change the face of the dining and socialising experience in the historic grandstand. Great planning and consideration has been put into the fixtures, fittings and furniture with the existing spaces being completely ripped out and extensively refurbished. “We believe there is no other sporting venue matching the standards we are setting anywhere else in the country and we can’t wait to unveil the finished product to the public – I’d certainly encourage those looking to book for 2017 to do so sooner rather than later as demand is already high.”

Book early for the best price! The Hamilton Park Racecourse Season 2017 looks set to be the best ever, so make the venue your perfect choice for a day out for business or pleasure. Moët & Chandon Unveiled as Official Champagne Partner Enjoy and share your #MoëtMoment at HPR

Iconic Champagne house, Moët & Chandon has been announced as the official Champagne partner for 2017, following a fantastic response to their branded bar at last year’s Ladies’ Night. The partnership will see the stylish brand served across all bars with particular focus on Red’s Wine Bar, which will no doubt further enhance the venue’s reputation as the place to be seen in Scottish Racing. “To have a world renowned, luxury brand such as Moët & Chandon partner with us is quite a coup,” said Ann Doyle. “Brand matching is all important for such a high level partner and it’s a testament to the aspirational nature of Hamilton Park that we are aligned with Moët.”

Gemma Leisegang of brand owners Moët Hennessy added: “We see perfect synergy between our brand and the experience of a day at the races. We’ll be showcasing a wide range of products including our classic Imperial, Rose and our new Ice Imperial and of course our incredibly popular Mini Moët. “Our message for 2017 is very much about celebrating the now and capturing the moment and so we’d encourage everyone to get involved with us and share your Hamilton Park experience with our #MoëtMoment social media campaign.” Follow @HamiltonParkRC and @Moet_UK on twitter and share your #MoetMoment this season.
