1. La experiencia clínica y la literatura dental nos sugiere que ante el retraso en la erupción de un diente permanente o temporal se deben realizar exámenes radiográficos. 2. El odontoma es el factor etiológico más común de la retención dentaria. 3. El diagnóstico precoz de odontomas y su eliminación contribuye a un mejor pronostico del diente impactado.
