Trinity Buoy Wharf Hannah Hartwell

Gathering information on the space All the older buildings that have foundations are staying on the site due to there historical back ground.

This temporary buildings is being removed to make space for our designs. These buildings do not fit into the space especially the blue one due to where it has been placed.

The light house has significant historical value as it is the only experimental light house left in London. It was used to develop the technology used in light houses and was never actually use to navigate ships in the Thames

Research 1 I like this space as it uses lots of Curvey lines and different levels and heights to create paths for people to follow around the space

Research 2

Detailed plan view of a smaller area Green = grass Blue = water I like the use of the bridge in the space as it allows people to overlook the space

I also like how the area has lots of areas that feature water as it makes the space more interactive

Pavilion 1

Inspiration for colour pallet and the circular shape

Underneath the pavilion there will be seating.

Colour pallet

Pavilion 2 Inspiration pictures Position and layout

I got inspired to use this form of pavilion as they were very popular in the late 1800 which is when Trinity Buoy Wharf was constructed

I made the pavilion more modern in order to make it fit into its surroundings.

This form is inspired by that used on the light house

Pavillion 3

These pavilions are inspired by the structure used to make the buoys at Trinity Buoy Wharf Basic layout

To make them more modern and fit in with the space can make them out of bright colored metals like yellow red and orange which work with the container building

Add bench seating going round on the inside. Issue with these pavilions is the cant be used when raining so need to add a pavilion near the café to eat outside of.

Café 1 Development of cafe

Elevation Drawing from side

Added area for seating on side. Windows are inspired by the ones found on the shipping container buildings

Plan view

Created another layer and moved the greenery on it and slanted roof so water runs of. Also creates shade for people sitting on the ledge

Planting

The lake will also contain plants for wildlife to live in to form ecosystems

Multi-level planters inspired by research will have trees and bushes on as seen above

Layout of space

Lots of plants to make scenic for wedding photos

Lots of different paths to walk around

Useful for people who work in the offices and want to sit outside and have cover
