Greetings Division 6! Happy Holiday season! I hope all is well with you and your families. The end of the Key Club year is coming faster than you think! Let’s have us a great new year and continue to do some great service. In this issue of Hannah’s Happenings, we will be discussing DCON ’14, elections, Threads of Hope and the advocacy focus! DCON 2014 is coming in from France, Italy, Australia, Russia, Brazil, Morocco‌everywhere! Destination: Service is this year’s DCON theme. DCON will be held March 28th to March 30th at the Ocean Place Hotel in Long Branch, NJ. DCON is a weekend long celebration of the previous service year. There, you will elect the new District executive board, listen to motivational speakers, eat some amazing food and attend some fun dances! The DCON registration packet has already been sent out! Publicize it to your clubs and plan on coming yourself. It is a great weekend with friends and memories to be made. Learn all you can about Key club and become more passionate about your cause than ever before!
Do you want to be a more active Key Clubber? A student leader? Want the chance to make a difference in your home, school, community, and world? Consider running for the position of Lieutenant Governor! As Lieutenant Governor, act as a liaison between your division and the New Jersey District of Key Club. Help plan your own divisional events and help with Fall Rally and District Convention. Learn valuable leadership skills and be a bigger part of the organization that you love so much. The election packet has been sent out! Below are the dates for the election! As a side note, each club must send at least two delegates vote!

Division 6 is participating in a fundraiser called Threads of Hope! Bracelets made by families in the Philippines are sold by the Division 6 clubs. Half of the proceeds go to help the families who made them in the Philippines and other half goes to the Eliminate Project. The bracelets are $2 for 1 bracelet for $5 for 3 bracelets! The sale ends on February 1st! Be sure to keep selling and promoting the bracelets! They are for a great cause and look incredibly stylish!
