NEWSLETTER | AUTUMN WINTER 2010 A big thank you for giving us a record Spring Summer season, KIMVINE outfits attended many weddings and race meetings! We have had a wonderful response to our new Autumn Winter collections to which we have introduced some new and exciting designers. Two new cashmere companies – firstly Queene & Belle who use the finest yarns from Todd & Duncan. The product is handmade in Hawick where they help keep the local techniques and Scottish heritage alive. This gorgeous feather scarf (right) was the first thing we fell in love with. Brodie also from Scotland, offer a really affordable collection in a stunning soft colour palette, all with co-ordinating scarves, quirky cashmere hats and kitten mittens. Perfect Christmas presents and stocking fillers. Also, Aideen Bodkin from Ireland with timeless tailoring and vibrant colours, perfect for winter weddings. We are currently the only stockist in Wiltshire for the new collection Shircket, designed by Patsy Seddon of Phase Eight fame. Easy to wear velvet and tweed jackets. We are proud to present the latest Italian designer to join David Dudley – Enrico Capra. In 1974 Enrico Capra opened a small goldsmiths workshop in San Salvatore Monferato, a small town near Valenza Po, in the heartland of Italian fine jewellery design. Enrico took on a small number of highly skilled craftsmen, who are still working with him today, to design and make contemporary fine jewellery. By 1990 Enrico Capra was internationally recognised exhibiting at prestigious jewellery fairs such as Basel, Las Vegas and Vicenza.
Enrico Capra’s jewellery combines ethnic and gothic trends, as well as tradition and experience. The new collection draws inspiration from symphonies of light and colour, and from unique, innovative and creative design. Welcome! Welcome to our Christmas edition. Firstly we wish you all a joyful Christmas and Happy New Year. Over the year we have introduced many new successful collections of jewellery, several from Italy. So to celebrate the switching on of the Christmas Lights we are having an Italian event on the 25th November. You are all welcome on that day for some Italian drinks and canapés. Also, to celebrate my 20 years in Marlborough we will be having a prize draw throughout November and December, plus a gift for you all. We have had a few staff changes now that Andrew Rogers has left, Wendy Hunt is now Showroom Manager and Sabine Orton our Operations Manager, both of whom qualified in top jewellery exams this year. The shop is being fully decorated this year and is the talk of the town! As I forecast last year, gold has now reached an all time high – so has the value of your jewellery. So when next in Marlborough let us give your jewellery a clean and check over with our compliments. By popular demand, I have now re-introduced my own classic range of ‘David Dudley’ watches after searching for several years for the Distinctly Different look.
